I'm quite liking him here so far (I think I've only seen him in A League of Nobleman before). Bionic Life sounds great so thank you :). I've very much been in a sci-fi mood lately (and crime dramas I'm always somewhat in the mood for).
song wei long and sci-fi and non-romance..? yeah! I am in🤩🤩🤩
👍 Honestly, it's nice to see a few more non-romance dramas coming out of China (not hating on the genre, it's just not my favourite and I burn out on it very quickly). I haven't seen much of Song Wei Long, so I'm curious to see more of him. Here for the sci-fi and (hopefully) horror vibes.
"What kind of an idiot came up with an idea even dumber than what an idiot would think of?" "His Majesty." 🤣 Cannot stop laughing at that in episode 3. I mean it's true, but royal edicts really were something else. Especially considering it's either do it or die trying, with the added "bonus" of now all your family are sold into slavery. This is one of the most serious and dramatic fruit deliveries ever. The comedy I wasn't expecting (well, OK, I might have done when the poster suddenly became so very garish and pink), but it's very much welcome to break the tension. Loving this so far. Certainly one of the most unusual dramas I've watched in a while, to say the least.
Huge thanks for the novel link. I'm going to try watching this at midnight personally but then I love horror dramas…
Oh wow ❤️🌹No, I haven't seen anything about this drama before, so I'm just watching those trailers now. You're right, some of these clips looks so scary and creepy, I love it. Thanks so much for linking this! Really hyped now xxx
This looks like it could have quite a few jump-scare moments. My question to myself is, do I stay up and watch…
Huge thanks for the novel link. I'm going to try watching this at midnight personally but then I love horror dramas 🤣 I wasn't sure if I was going to try watching this but if it has scary moments I'm fully on board. Chinese horror is the best and we don't get a lot of it these days.
To sir with love is REALLY good. You fr should finish that one!!
Fully agree. To Sir, With Love was amazing and my favourite Thai BL to date. I've got high hopes for Love Carved in Moonlight/ Under the Moonlight, and I'd love more BLs with a historical lakorn feel to them. TS,WL is so unique and special. (I was mainly just swinging by to check the comments/ rating for Reset and think I'll check it out when the second episode airs. It sounds promising).
An adaptation from a Ma Bo Yong novel? OK, I'm seated as for the most part I've loved dramas adapted from his books. The Wind Blows From Longxi and Under the Microscope, especially. C-dramas are so on fire this year, and it's been awesome.
Ah. I didn't see the English translation for this on the MEB Market before. That's an impulse buy if I ever saw one 🤣. Seems it's been on there for almost a month now, so I'm slow/ very distracted lol. I do miss horror/ supernatural BLs...hoping we get this and perhaps one or two of the other upcoming ones soon. It seems from the comments that the drama series will have more humour than the novel, but tbh I love horror/ comedy as a genre combination anyway.
Oh wow, I had no idea this would come out so soon....that's awesome <3 I haven't had much luck with BLs this year, but I tend to have a preference for historical settings so I'm curious how this will turn out. (Not saying there haven't been any good BLs, I've just been burned out on romance but this was one I had my eye on!)
I just wish there were more zombie dramas tbh - horror in general really. It's one of my favourite genres, but it seems horror is extremely rare these days 😢 Well...still waiting on this one lol.
OMFG just noticed they've a new project in work😭😭😭. I can't wait!!!I was just talking about how I miss…
Yeah, I miss them a lot as well. I don't tend to pay much attention to pairings but I absolutely adored The Sign and can't wait to see more from these two. Just a couple of months wait left. (I'd love a second season of The Sign, but genre wise this is very much my cup of tea so not going to complain).
Oh lord...I'm getting flashbacks now xDI'm assuming they have not toned our lovely Ning Ning down then with the…
😂Oh well... *fingers crossed* I admit I resorted to watching quite a few of her scenes in 1.5x speed in the first season as I didn't want to miss anything. My ears haven't quite forgiven me for that (dis)pleasure. We'll see. I'm very happy we're getting season 2 of this so it will be worth it. Going to start this now I think.
As Carla said, and I'd also add Doctor Climax and Terror Tuesday Extreme (aka Angkhan Khlumpong the Series season 2). The Believers also gets a second season this year, apparently. Could also try out Thai Cave Rescue, Girl From Nowhere 1/2, The Stranded, Bangkok Breaking (have not seen this one yet), 6ixtynin9, and School Tales the Series, going back a couple of years.
Oh yes, yes please.... (on that note I'd be completely fine with a j-drama remake of Strangers From Hell).Hoping…
It does make for a welcome change, yes 😢 I was going to resub to Viki for their translation of Legend of Zang Hai so it seems this is an added incentive. It's a very good month for dramas (not so much for free time lol).
