I wonder what netizens will complain about. When Goong was released in 2006 viewers blasted casting such a "dark skin toned" actor in Joo Ji Hoon as the prince. I guess royals weren't supposed to have tanned skin since they were supposed to be inside/confined to quarters their entire lives. It's all so sadly amusing.

Same thought. I use my imagination. The open ended shows don't need a second season or third or fourth if people would use their imaginations instead of wanting everything spoon fed to them. The influx of viewers from western countries with their limited imaginations and attention span after the release of the first Squid Game. IMHO, is the cause for series splitting in half, second seasons (or more), the trashing of storylines to suit the viewer, and more. I don't find it a coincidense the release of Squid Game (a yr into the pandemic), the influ of western viewers, and the degradation of dramas. They wanted a second season. Here it is. BUT I'd wager a million it won't be suitable for them and they'll complain, complain, complain once it's all said & done. What the Korean Entertainment industry fails to take into consideration IS the short attention span of the average western media watcher. It's the size of a knat. Nothing will satisfy them, so spinning around faster & faster to suit western desires is pointless. Rant over, and NOT directed at you, _Choa_. I won't watch. Seasoon 1 was a complete series in itself.

So far unless someone recommends something otherthan SK I've sorta restricted my viewing. So Acorn is better than Britbox. Glad to know. Viki offers Korean, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Japan, Thailand, United States (very few & ONLY with a heavy Asian cast/story). I'm not logged in right now so I can't access the country list. I'm on an extremely limited income, yet my sole source of entertainment is the internet, Viki, and Netflix. Viki has been worth it yearly. They have Timed Comments, so a viewer can comment as they're watching. NOT real time comments, thank goodness since some bash an actress or actor for personal reasons. The Timed Comments get cleaned up regularly though. There's a community section with discussions, GREAT subtitles...no more gushing. Anyhoo, I've been pleased with Viki for the money. They DO offer free to watch shows if you want to try it out, but they coe with ads. I don't do ads. I haven't the patience. Talk to you soon!!!
