Maggi, it's interesting to read you praising a series that you also describe as "adorable." lol There have been a number of cute/adorable series of late that I can't stand and dropped. But on your rec I will def check this out. I'm going to wait until all the eps have aired and watch what will then be a two-hour film. :) Going to check out comments too. I would think the SJWs and Fankids would be loving an "adorable" BL.

To me, it's dragging...and I don't mean by that that I necessarily want the big reveal to happen really fast. I enjoy slow-paced films if they are well done. But in the meantime it has to stay interesting and keep my attention and I'm struggling to remain engaged. Like they wasted an entire episode on the side-couple drama, which added nothing to the story of the MC. Then another episode which gave us Amber freaking when AL opened a bathroom door and that was it. Repeated, long takes of Amber looking stressed just aren't cutting it for me.

What really takes this to another level entirely is that if and when Amber reveals who and what he is to AL, it will mean that AL not only has to deal with the gay thing, but also the TRANS thing. Amber's plumbing is not that of a cis man, as you know. So it's "OK, my dear friend who is a dude, loves me and maybe I love him, but this is super-weird because my dear dude friend who is a trans man has a vagina and a swollen clitoris that sort of looks like a tiny little penis." I mean, WOW, this kid would have to deal with a LOT!

I watched the original Norwegian, then French and German versions of a great series about high school-age guys dealing with same-sex attraction and love for the first time. Ther German one took the story a step or two further just like this one. The guy the straight guy found himself falling for was trans, as it turned out. He freaked at first but handled it well after that. So I am really eager to see where a BL goes in dealing with this really challenging material.

I'm gay. If I fell in love with another guy and then learned he was trans I really can't say how I would react or what I would do. I'd like to think my love would conquer all but that's a lot to conquer. Wow.

Totally agree. That was my thought: "She's going to make it look like he killed the other teacher..." But she lets him schtupp her again and then just leaves the apartment and walks down the middle of a freeway to wherever she parked her car? They do that a lot in movies: people walk in the middle of streets when there ar e perfectly good sidewalks just feet away. I guess the director thinks it looks more dramatic or something...

Well...I can't agree with that. There are many examples of artistic, slow, beautiful, well-acted and choreographed sex scenes in cinema, a few of them even within BL World. The first that comes to mind is toward the end of HIStory 4: Close To You when the couple that are not step-brothers finally make love. It is really quite lovely and not rushed at all. Great choreo and camera movement...it feels like an elegant dance in slow motion. :)

Given your reasoning above, ALL people everywhere, gay or straight, should NEVER have unprotected sex because there is a teeny-tiny chance they will get HIV out of the clear blue sky. In which case the human race would come to an end. Not to mention a lot of condoms would be wasted.

BUT AGAIN YOU MISS MY MAIN POINT: You are not telling me anything I don't know. My point is that IN THE HEAT OF THE MOMENT (do the all-caps help?) in this scene none of the above matters. It is called unbridled PASSION. Reason, restraint and caution are overtaken by lust, hormones and a pounding boner, and all of that is forgotten for the moment. It happens millions of times every day around the world. It is the reason there are unplanned pregnancies, frantic trips to the emergency room for the post-exposure prophylactic drug PREP which prevents HIV infection even after exposure, and a lot of worry. That is what I have said to you four or more times now and you keep lecturing me about how HIV is spread. BTW, getting HIV is NOT the same as having AIDS. The first leads to the second but there are all kinds of therapeutic drugs now to prevent just that. So please stop using the terms interchangeably. Google it.

This is a really good movie. I second the commenter below who remarked on its "raw"-ness. Looks like the actor playing Antonio was a first-timer. Job well done, regardless. Very natural and real on-camera.

I think it will end up in my top 15 BLs but overall I'm keeping ITSAY and IPYTM at the top. It's kind of silly to compare them though...those two and KP are not trying to be anything like the same type of show. Apples/oranges.

But my god, the bodies...this will probably rate #1 for me. To me, Porsche especially is perfection. Muscled and defined but NOT overly-so. He's not bulging. He looks like someone who alternates weights with cardio a lot...a runner. wow, him in those tightie=whities blew my mind.

Man, wouldn't you love to see the writers find a way to flip the tables on this one though? Porsche is just as masc as Kinn...oh god, I just realized that this being a Thai BL it's likely that now that they've done it Porsche will turn into a coy, shy, giggly prude.

But back to flipping...it would be so hot to feature a couple who took turns or flipped a coin or arm-wrestled or anything fun at all to see who does what on a given night. There is only one thing that needs to be rigid when guys go at it, and it's not the top/bottom cliche.

If you want to get into details, message me, lol, but your last point isn't necessarily true. I have lived to tell the tale. I disagree that sex can't be spontaneous, entertaining AND hot. For instance, each of us has a tongue and it's good for tasting and moistening LOTS of things that aren't food.😁

Or take the bottle of lube and squeeze it at the top of Porsche's spine so it runs all the way down that perfect back, all the way to...while the camera follows, the candlelight glistening off that lubed-up back. BTW, the candlelight had a LOT to do with what made that scene glamorous and hot. But when Kinn had his undies on and the next split second they were gone it was kind of jarring...Porshe could have spent ten minutes pulling those down with his...teeth. I think you see where I'm going with this.

All you have to do is keep asking questions about why they say the things they do, the ways they contradict themselves, and the fact that they're even here in BL comment threads to begin with, given that the subject matter is so repugnant to them. My favorite is the poor, dumb girl who read the novel on which this is based and is now watching the series, but claims she's deeply troubled by the nasty sex. lol

A good, old-fashioned romantic tragedy, right out of old Hollywood. Loved it.

Had a bit of a hard time buying that she would so easily go for, and fall for, the kid. She knew he was a player. I wanted to see her be more of a hard-core bitch than that. Lee Won Keun has goofy ears. :)

Where did I say ANY of that is not true? I'm talking abou the CHANCES of it (and why you think HIV is prevelant in the mafia is something you'd need to explain). AGAIN...for those who are intellectually challenged, neither Porsche or Kinn, in that time and place, under those circumstances, would give one flying fuck about any of that.
