God help them. Yes, especially: He should have still been WAY messed up after all the drugs and alcohol he consumed, but he seemed fresh as a daisy. Horrible direction. I wonder if it will ever be explained how he ended up on the couch downstairs with his undies on and if the killer TOOK him down there, why wouldn't he/she just go ahead and kill the kid? Oh god, I could go on another tangent...blows my mind, the bad writing and plotting that somehow gets made into a movie or drama. What are the people who read the script thinking first time around?

Yes, that piggy-back ride scene went on way too long, and is another reason I came to pretty much hate the brother. He was constantly back-and-forth with her on whether they could be together. She was up for anything if he was. And then at the very end we're shown them walking hand in hand across that field. He'll be back down in her bed in no time. And the shared bedroom at their age is ridiculous.

I agree he had feelings for her; he'd been thinking about it a long time. Then he talked to her that fateful night and asked her to choose. And she did. And then they slept together. They both were bare-topped in the morning which indicated to me they had sex. And then he almost immediately changed his mind and started backing off, and we weren't given any reason for that; he just did it. I don't think it was well written.

I'm one of those people. It was a good film til about 2/3 of the way through. But go back to the Disney Channel, they have lots for you there.

It's so interesting how people like you freak out at taboo subject matter like this and are so timid that you can't even give a feature film production a try. And are you telling me you never watch films or dramas involving adultery and cheating? There would be very little drama to make without those two staples of fiction. Why are you so sensitive to the subject of incest? Are you hot for a cousin or brother and can't deal with it?

It happens way more often than most people, especially Americans, would ever dare to believe. Teenagers are horny and you don't put opposite-sex siblings in the same bedroom. Although the boys will play with each other in THEIR room, but that's just the way it goes. :D

Well...agree that he's an asshole, but I think Uke would be able to confirm that he is NOT dickless. lol Yeah, his characters wildly inconsistent and manipulative behavior and the fact that none of it was given any context, put me off the movie by its end. As for marrying her, that would be legally quite difficult, and then there's the matter of the parents, and society and all that to work out...but I guess he was horny that night and went for it.

I came to loathe Yori also. What a dick. I disagree on one thing: I think she loved him just as much, but would never have made a move if he hadn't done so first. He talked her into it, which is fine and I was actually touched by that scene. But almost immediately after they had sex (and who has sex with their sibling and sleeps all night in the same bed with no worries that Mom will walk in?) he began to have doubts but didn't have the guts to talk to Uke directly, he used the other girl to do his dirty work. Then he changed his mind back. Then he changed his mind AGAIN.

I'm not skeeved out about upfront stories of incest, partially because I believe it happens a lot more often than anyone imagines and partially because I like dark and taboo subject matter. But the script made Yori such an asshole, as you say, that I didn't care by about 2/3 of the way through.

And who lets their opposite-sex teens share a bedroom? That mom (and dad, wherever he is) is dumb as a post.
