Did you watch Kiss The Series? They reinvented Kao 3 (!!!) times now. And this kind of plot (coming out anxiety) is pretty cliche and ALWAYS the next step if there is an established relationship. They did the same in Together With Me. Making Kao the one who is in the closet makes no sense to me.
Idk what's going on. I feel like Kao isn't even acting like Kao... it's like he's a diff character. I might have…
LOL, I'm saying this since ep2: they changed Kao's character and I'm not forgiving them. He was the sole reason why this couple worked so well (for me). He was so bold, didn't take Pete's BS and was the one in control in this relationship. Him fighting off Pete when he wanted to cuddle etc. was fitting the "you're playing hard to get" theme. It was cute and funny. Now it's just irritating. In KMA he gave in after all, in DBK it just seems like the director is avoiding kiss scenes at all cost. It's so stupid.
Initially I thought Kao was the stronger and more stable character (over Pete) but the show seems to be going…
They changed the storyline/characters. As far as I remember in KMA Pete was unsure about being gay and afraid of what would happen when those photos his girlfriend made of them kissing would leak. Kao said something like "You cannot take a decision if it's getting difficult" which Pete took to heart, so he didn't try to hide the relationship. Now suddenly Kao is the one who is afraid of coming out? Kao was a completely different character in KMA. He became that kind of "bottom" I honestly don't enjoy watching. But other people may like it.
I think the script is at fault. Tay was incredible in 3 will be free. In DBK he almost seems like a bad actor.…
In Love Beyond Frontier he was unbearable to watch. The same in Dark Blue Kiss. I don't like his acting at all. In KMA he was my favorite though. Strange. Maybe I'm just not into those whiny/cute roles. In KMA he had some balls.
honestly, I'm not liking this one as much. It gives me STAY AWAY FROM ME vibes...plus I cant seem to find anything…
There are only 4 episodes (length ca. 45 minutes). They cut them in two parts, that's all. You can find the episodes on Kissasian.sh
Btw: I liked Stay away from me. It was solid BL with cute actors. Better than Obssesed (the story was a mess) and My Hero (never understood why this even was considered BL in the first place). HIStory series are in general a hit or miss. I wonder why there is such a big following and such high expectations as if EVERY series has to be great. The quality was always very inconsistent.
The story is just not doing it for me yet. I am waiting for the other shoe to drop so-to-speak just to see it…
Pete&Kao bore the hell out of me. I have also zero interest in Sun&Mork for whatever reason. But objectively speaking it’s really not that bad. It’s pretty solid. The script is the biggest issue, that’s for sure. But for people who enjoy this kind of plot and/or are new to genre, this is a decent watch. It’s just a shame that they couldn’t come up with something more interesting and exciting. My support is over though. I have better things to do with my time.
Honestly, this was a big step down from the previous HIStory3 and HIStory2 CTL :( Bad camera work, choppy editing,…
I don't think the acting is bad, it's just the way the characters are written (over the top) which I'm not a fan of either. But the acting itself ... Hao Ting's girlfriend crying was more emotional than back then Fandy crying in Boundary Crossing. Also HJZ as Yu Xi Gu plays the miserable boy excellent. There was not a single second until now where I thought his acting is anything else than great. They just overdo it with the humor. I feel if they would give Hao Ting's character a bit more depth, the whole series would feel differently.
That is exactly what I think. I'm honestly not invested in the couples nor in the story..it was all so fast, they…
It seems With Love and Thank God It's Friday isn't getting much attention. Maybe I will try it out. Same for I'm your King, though I didn't like the first season. In general the season has a lot of different series to offer (which is always a good thing), but personally I'm just not very excited.

"So happy there are so many others airing bl and ones coming" Which one? Dark Blue Kiss is a big disappointment, TharnType (well, no need to go there AGAIN, but it's at least more entertaining than DBK), then there is a series with an incarnation plot coming up (not a fan of incarnation stories) ... what else? The Effect is somehow hard to get into it ... This BL season isn't as exciting as I hoped.
I feel that although it's very good drama, i don't wait for it because something is missing and it's exitment,…
I'm still pretty excited for this series, but the childish behavior of Hao Ting is getting problematic. I'm okay with the crazy Sun Bo Xiang, but TWO such characters? Shouting out the name of the guy you're in love? Who does that? I honestly don't think their behavior will change either, because the characters are written like this. Hao Ting behaves like a girl in love, giggling over the photos from the boy he likes ... sigh ... it's the kind of humor that isn't working well for me. It's also a mystery how he felt in love so suddenly. That he isn't bothered by it is typical for HIStory series where they always deliver the message: "I don't care boy or girl". Many people seem to like that there is no "gay panic", but well ... it just happened out of the blue. I also have a hard time believing Hao Ting is into Yu Xi Gu. There is chemistry between the actors, the acting is good, maybe the script is holding them back? I just don't "feel" that those guys are into each other. The same with the second couple. Still this series has a certain atmosphere I really enjoy. So hopefully it will get better.
Maybe you should give more Thai BL dramas a chance. Some might be a bit stiff but I found the most enjoyable BLs…
I have seen it. It is one of the more mature stories you can find. I remember the main characters worked on a school project. Nuer was writing about great love stories, Porsche was working on LGBT rights. At the end he said: "Look at the diference. Your work takes you to temples, mine to night clubs." Great line, really. But I wasn't a fan of how the (apparently hetero) friend was in love with his gay friend the whole time. I didn't see that coming. It felt so rushed and out of the blue. Also, it seems there was a bad end and I was just not invested in the characters enough to go there. I only watched two or three episodes I think. Still it was a good watch.
One thing that disappoints me about with the longer "double episodes" is that when a new one starts they don't…
LOL, I double checked if I clicked on the wrong episode. I also was hoping to see how that "kneeling scene" was resolved. Maybe that's why some people think the pace is wrong. The pace is okay, but if you skip those scenes it really feels rushed. Like later on Hao Ting just asks Yu Xi Gu if he can came over and I was like ... what kind of relationship do they have again? After that kneeling scene I didn't expect Yu Xi Gu to be so ... submissive. But maybe he was afraid, Hao Ting would tell the school about his job? Still a great series until now.
Maybe you should give more Thai BL dramas a chance. Some might be a bit stiff but I found the most enjoyable BLs…
I'm pretty sure I watched (or at least tried watching) almost every Thai BL series out there. My favorite BL couples are 1) Korn&Knock (Together With Me), 2) Pete&Kao (only in KMA) and Tin&Can (Love by Chance), 3) Ming&Kit and Forth&Beam (2Moons 2). You see: all Thai series. Still how they deliver their dialogues bothers me. It's the same in TharnType, always those pauses before they speak, especially Mew does it. I'm well aware that's a cultural thing. I have seen some hetero Thai dramas and they also do it. Chinese/Taiwan series are just different and more to my taste when it comes to the acting. That doesn't mean that I in generell prefer Taiwan BL series. I'm not even a HIStory fan like others. MODC will most likely not became one of my favorite BL series, but the acting is very enjoyable to watch.
Thai series should take some notes from Taiwan. And I'm not talking about the plot, the character, the production. I'm talking about how they deliver their dialogues. There are some over-the-top scenes, yes, but in general their acting is very natural. They are not standing around and saying "uhuh" like they do so often in thai series. When they have deep discussions you don't see the actor anymore, only the character. Even though I'm sure there is a make-up team that touches them up constantly, you're not aware of it. Not like in some thai series where you feel like it's a constant photoshoot and you as the viewer have just to admire the beautiful looking faces while they deliver their lines in such a slow way like they don't remember them.
I think there are a few lessons in this series. It's about understanding each other and their circumstances, it's…
It can get very ugly very fast on this site, I know. I'm not bothered by it anymore. I guess I'm used to it. And I guess actors/directors/producers have to get used to it too. At least the many comments show that people are emotional about a series. I also feel that because so many different people come together, the opinions are more balanced out. I hate it when a very bad series gets lots of love (and no criticism) and a very good series gets constantly bashed by everyone for no good reason. Lately it's more like there is an equal amount of haters and lovers, if that makes any sense LOL. Look at TharnType and Dark Blue Kiss. There are also many people who hate on it. I always try to not "hate" on a series, but I'm also a very critical thinker and like to point out good AND bad points. I think MDL is after all still the best place to have some deep discussions.
I agree and disagree... I love their friendship moments when they talk about being in love and their silly and…
I'm not sure about the development though. I think the characters are written like this. While I enjoy Hao Ting's silly personality, I just hope they just keep it down a bit in the future. I'm not bothered by Bo Xiang, but TWO silly characters is one too much ...
It's so stupid.
