The problem is, that there are a lot of younger people who like what GMMTV does, while older folks have more (watching) experience and are more critical. If you're new to the BL genre or GMMTV, their productions may seem mind-blowing good. If I think about how big Addicted/Heroin was back in the day, when it really wasn't that great of a series or production, you hopefully see my point. Also, the younger girls like to gush over the cute boys, and don't care that much about storytelling/plot/production whatever.

This is similar to the webtoon problem. There is a young generation out there who loves that kind of content. But if you grew up with old school black-white Japanese manga, it's honestly painful to look at that "art". It's ugly, lacks creativity, good storytelling, soul. It's just shiny big images, and you have to scroll for an eternity just to grasp a single scene. It's really bad, but very popular. Lately, I saw an artist on YouTube talking about it, and I was so relieved to see that I'm not the only one out there, who thinks comic art is dying. What I mean: younger people lack experience in media (film/art/comics) and are easily impressed. The more shallow, shiny, cute and sexy the better.

Not to say that everything was better once upon a time. Older people tend to glorify their experience, because back then they were also easy to impress.

On the main page of MDL I saw someone talking about Korean Drama, that the quality and originality got lost over the last years. So yeah, many people want something new, something better, something exciting.

The role is so fitting. He can't play the bad boy action hero, since he is too small and not strong enough. But the sly thief? Perfect.

I don't hate Ohm. I'm only here because of him. And I'm angry, that they don't have a better script for him.

It always gets a bit heated on MDL, that's normal. People come and go, only a few stay for so long.

Since the competition is so low this year, this may even be true.

You can gossip as much as you want. People on this site seem to hate me, but it's my fault. I'm a bit harsh and bitter.

It's the small things.
I already listed some scenes that were weird. If I think about it, there are many more. The writing is just odd. Wattpad style. They didn't think the scenes through, the reactions of the characters are strange.

Still, this could be great. GMMTV is just damn lazy and doesn't care anymore.

I already told you: I'm disappointed. I was looking forward to this. I'm also a writer. Give me that damn script and I will make it better in half an hour! Untalented people worked on that mess.

I love how they make War the older one in this series. Despite him looking good and all, it's obvious he is older. Yin's child-like face isn't helping to disguise the age difference.
But in this series they fit their characters well.

I wrote a review back then for Love Mechanics, the short series, not the longer one. I remember writing, War is the best actor I have ever seen in any BL.
I wasn't wrong. Years later, that's still true.

On1y One is incredible well done, but you need a lot of patience to get through it. I struggle too, mostly because the school plot is not my favorite.

People hype it because of Bible and the hot NC scenes. What are such scenes good for, when the story is a confusing mess, you can't grasp the characters, the chemistry isn't there?
Even the people who enjoy it, admitted they don't really understand what is going on.

Watch Jack & Joker to get out of your BL depression.

Yeah, GMMTV is bad lately. Kidnap had so much potential, but those weak dialogues, cheap production, silly plots. Don't really care about the kisses. A good kiss won't save this mess.

Yes, you're right. Jack and Joker is miles ahead of this. Why not compare? Both have a similar genre: romance, crime, drama. Both are thai productions. Both are BLs.
And yes, Kidnap was advertised as action/thriller. I have watched both trailers. It's not a funny rom-com like Mix-up or Only Boo.
People are delusional. Kidnap has a weak script, weak production, acting is okay, but especially Ohm' character seems not well written.

4minutes is trash. But this one ... wow.
Best first BL episode I have ever seen in my life.
