Like underboard said, some dialogues seem unnecessary, and other important dialogues aren't presented very well like the discussion between the students and teacher, they lost me there somewhere in the middle, the filming isn't doing anything to make those scenes more appealing. The music is too tense and distracting. Maybe I'm just spoiled, because I know some very high quality, high budget mystery Korean dramas that really kept me on the edge of my seat. Then the flirting ... the shower scene "I want it now" etc. Very cringy on paper, but those guys deliver it flawlessly with their facial expression and tone of voice. The flirting in general just happend out of the blue. The whole "If you punch me once, I will kiss you once". Where was that coming from? Reminds me of 2gether where people still to this day think the line "I will kiss you until you drop" is iconic. Really? Is this even English? I'm not a native speaker. But don't get me wrong. This is the series I look forward the most at the moment. The chemistry/interaction is nothing I have seen before. Really love Khaotung's acting. Very refreshing.
To be honest, I think the mystery element will get more intriguing over time. I get the feeling the story is well thought-out, we just have to be patient.

It's just that the people who are writing comments here on MDL are more critical. For example regarding TharnType. On YouTube you constantly see people saying "it's one of my favorite BL series of all time", on MDL the ratings are rather low. People on social media in general are all influenced by the Zeitgeist and feel the need to show they are morally right. But their basic needs don't change. Toxic and problematic stories like Mame writes them, will always find an audience. If not on MDL, then somewhere else. That's what you call a "guilty pleasure".

I think I will drop this after some episodes. I don't like this kind of story with the super cool perfect top, and the clumsy and stupid bottom that's good for nothing. BUT I CAN'T GET OVER THEIR HANDSOMENESS! They look georgeous together. Where did they found those actors? Two new faces, but the acting is good, the chemistry is good. Everything is GOOD. Match made in heaven. I cannot be the only one who is seriously impressed? And of course I'm talking about Boss and Noeul ... such an attractive couple!!!

And yes, this series tries to appear smarter than it is. I agree with almost everything you said. They try to make this look like some kind of mystery series that should keep us on the edge of our seats, when in fact nothing spectacular is happening. I'm not sure if it will get better regarding the mystery, but I mostly watch it because of the BL content, so I'm not bothered. Khao and First have great chemistry. I love their character's interaction. It seem so different from what we usually see. The dialogues are rather cringy, so kudos to the actors to deliver them so well. Imagine reading that script! Especially the flirting scenes. This must sound so ridiculous on paper, but they make it work. The production and plot are rather mediocre, but I still think this is a good series. Mostly because of the actors giving it their all and having a great screen presence.

Okay, I'm here again. I rewachted that martial arts scene countless times. Not gonna lie, it's sexy like hell. The moves, the expressions, the music. Love it.

Watch First in Not Me. He is rebellious, cool and had that bad boy vibe. Completely different than in Eclipse. I know him from there maybe that's why I'm not that impressed this time. I think he was in The Shipper too which I didn't watch.

Khao acted in 2gether and he had a main role in Tonhon Chonlatee where he played the shy cutie. Completely different role. You have to look twice to even recognize the face. The hairstyle and attitude - completely different.

I'm more impressed by Khao in this series. He looks and behaves completely different than in some other roles he had. Almost unrecognizable.

How funny. So many people watching this. So many people rating it. The views on YouTube are also very, very high. Why then the low rating? Why keep watching when it's so bad? Normally bad shows don't get much views.

The two main actors First and Khaotung look very chill. Especially Khaotung. I sense no drama or homophobia.

When you watch them in an interview where they sit next to each other you can see they look slightly different. But when I watch a series ... nope. Can't tell who is who. My guess is always wrong. I checked it this time too. Wrong again.

Funny thing they are pretty young in real life. I thought First is at least arond 28. They are all around 21 to 23. I have seen guys many years older play high schoolers.

Are you referring to my comment? The issue is not that serious. It's fiction after all. Complaining about the same stuff and trying to educate others will lead you nowhere. It's the genre and some stereotypes are liked by many that's why they exist in the first place. The typical top/bottom cliches are boring but yet again we have a series like Love In The Air. You just can't change some kinks or desires people have. Like try to educate people that life and love is more about having a hot and rich boyfriend. Still in most beststelling hetero romance novels you have the hot and rich boyfriend that behaves like an ass*hole and women love it. It's stupid and trashy, but it sells. It's the same with the top/bottom stereotype. If it's true that's AyanAkk then in no time people will riot, lol. I like it though. Didn't cross my mind they would go there.

I like the dynamics between Akk and Ayan. No top/bottom cliche. Look at Love In The Air where the top is super handsome, smart, talented, strong and sexually experienced. The bottom is dumb, cute, weak and a drama queen.
Ayan is the sly one and likes to provoke. He is no sissy, but he is weaker than Akk and cannot hold him down if necessary. Akk is apparantly a virgin which doesn't fit the typical top stereotype. He is also smart and I think he can be powerful when he wants to, because he knows how to play the game.

Best comment ever. You phrased my thoughts perfectly. I don't care about trash, but when they try to make it serious like in TharnType with the whole child abuse, I'm out. It lacks taste.

Also the so called sexual harrassment was not a big deal. But since it's Mame ... well, I wonder what we will get in the future. I'm more pissed by those bottoms playing hard to get. It's not cute, it's childish. Rain seems to be pretty dumb. It's just not fun if two characters are on a different level. But many people enjoy this kind of stuff. So what to do?

On a side note: Where the hell did they find those actors? Those guys are gorgeous and everything seems fresh and exciting.

I'm more bothered by how the "bottom" can get away with everything. He jokes about someone being gay, while at the same time he himself is gushing over some random guy he met during a rainy night. He 100% behaves like he has a crush on that guy. He stares at him, grabs his arm, prevents him from leaving, sleeps in his house! Who would do that? Would you sleep in the house of someone you barely know? He even takes a shower there! And then the guy dries his hair with a towel and he enjoys it and almost moans as if this would be a very sensual thing? Is this natural and realistic behaviour?
I watched Bill Burr today how he was joking about women getting away with everything. Yeah. It's the same here. The bottom can do whatever he wants, the top is at fault.
Since this is a Mame story the top is of course extra insisting and tries again and again. The normal reaction would have been kissing the guy once on the mouth (who kisses on the neck first?) and then, since the bottom is telling you he doesn't want it, just stop.
