The care behind the scenes from the crew, production, & cast really translated to the screen. Everyone showed up & played their parts masterfully. I'm so glad that our four main leads are getting their flowers and praise, as I know they've all had their individual struggles over the years. What a beautiful ending to an amazing drama.
Also, as a side note, wardrobe department did not sleep...did not leave a single crumb on that table...now THAT is a chaebol wedding dress...dear lord, jaw on floor.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

im only on episode 13. there is a senior at school that is interested in FL, but she is completely oblivious to him. I think no. they have no exes or past interests.

can someone re-edit this show so it takes out all of the flashbacks from ep 1-11...cause why are we being given ALL of this at the jump. can we have a bit of mystery or idk better acting. i know that the lead guys are better actor, but everytime they are with the other members of team solo their acting goes to loud & dramatic. also why is this called Go Go Squid when the "squid" is barely in it they should have named this Han Solo instead.

I don't mind having a good cry watching a show, but I tend to stick with the HEAs and the "catching/punishing the bad guy" type of endings. I can't do ML bully dramas anymore....looking at you BOF. So green or grey flag all the way. I love a morally grey lead for shows with a more thriller/crime element. My mom had already seen NLB and kept raving about the relationship with all the wives so I watched it and found that I really enjoyed it. Also the ML might be the finally casting for Sang Yan in First Frost's adaption so I wanted to see how he did on screen.

PS: I'm dyslexic, so reading subtitles can be even more tiring when lack of interest starts to show it's head. With Mandarin shows I have to pay closer attention as I don't have as good an ear for the language. The very subtle shift in a tone can completely change the meaning of a word.
Korean, I don't have to read much unless it's going into a more technical conversation. Which is why I think I like these slower, less speaking more looking/doing shows from China, as it gives my dyslexic brain a break to just enjoy the action of the shot.

After a 9 hour shift at work on Valentines Day, while understaffed, this was the perfect way to wind down.

For any of my OG drama watchers. Did anyone else get strong Spring Waltz vibes when watching the winter scenes in Finland? I'm not sure I wont end up writing out a long comment about how winter romance dramas hit different. This is honestly one of if not the only "happy throughout" drama shot/set in winter that I've seen.

I kept wanting him to tickle her with his five o'clock shadow. If they ever lift some of the censorships I wonder if we could get a full length directors cut.

Also for anyone who likes a bit more drama with their slow-burn green-flag leads. 'New Life Begins' is a solid watch. Just please pay attention to the trigger warnings for certain episodes.

I'm going to rewatch it once they're all put on viki so I can watch XD on my tv instead of setting up the mirror on my laptop. the battle of the pop ups while mirroring is nothing to laugh at.

In the show the only thing after bad mouthing him to their mother is one scene. She talks to him and he realizes that he went to school with one of her friends...or with her. I can't remember exactly. but it made it seem like he made a boyfriend look bad or something...it's very much a throw away scene in that episode compared to other scenes. Maybe less than 2 minutes.

It's like overdosing on cotton candy. So sweet, light, and fluffy. Those four are my favorite dramas over the last 2 years in the overall romance category. I play the soundtracks of 1-3 regularly and will normally have one of the shows playing in the background if want to work on something but still have a bit of noise in the background.
They each have similar but not exact vibes. But the most common theme is green-flag leads and supporting characters. I didn't realize how much I needed that escape from reality. It's fun to watch the crime thrillers and the melos, but the low-drama slow-burns feel like coming home to a warm fire on a cold day...comforting.

OMG YES! Dude, talk about bingo board blackout. Jaw on floor every episode. Not 100% but I think it was the first thing I saw Ji Sung in, because I can't remember if I watched 'Protect the Boss' as it was airing or not. I know the first thing I saw Hwang Jung Eum in was 'Can You Hear My Heart' with Kim Jae Won and Namkoong Min another tropey primetime soap. A part of me wants to rewatch them, another part of me is like you don't got time for that.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I scared the shit out of my cat when an inhuman scream of "whatthefuckexcitement" came out of my body. Sorry BitBit, mom's just having a mental breakdown over the cuteness.

Oh, bless your heart, I'm not quite sure how you took my subjective opinions as me trying to be objective. Even more so after I literally defined the terms and then gave context before giving my opinion on a subject. I give examples of WHY I can't be objective when looking at this media at the moment.
And the comment about elaborating was because MOST people in the comment section of MDL are there to HELP fellow watchers NOT belittle them. But alas, I fear I'm just feeding yet another troll who doesn't have critical reading skills.
