Somehow I'm not getting the feels from it :( and also the "funny" things are rather a little annoying…
Yeah I find the comedy between Dong Man and his coach a bit out of place and cheesy. But then I have a love/hate relationship with kdrama comedy, so...
I just hope this drama won't drag the "we're best friends how can we be something else" awkwardness…
That's the only thing I worry about. Tbh I'm not a big fan of lifetime friends to lovers dramas because they don't strike me as realistic. The friendzone is too powerful a force (just my experience). The fact that it's working well here, so far, testifies to a great start. We'll see...
Thank God, a drama about ordinary people rather than CEOs and chaebols. I'm in for the premise alone. I'm a real Scrooge when it comes to Korean comedy but I love how they're integrating it here. Oh, and any kdrama that uses a track from A Man and a Woman instantly gets my approval. If the rest of the drama is as good as the start, it'll be fantastic.
The acting isn't bad but the writing is really corny. Nothing feels natural at all imo, except maybe the father x son dynamic. Tons of histrionics. There are way better lakorns.
The fire that started this series is really fizzling. I'm unfortunately not seeing any of the chemistry of 1%, the plot is falling into the troughs of mediocrity, and the comedy doesn't work at all. Personally, I think his secretary is stealing the show. His biting into that strawberry was the funniest thing so far. I'm cautiously optimistic moving forward with this one...

Interesting. By crisis, I assume you mean the pregnancy. I've seen several which used that trope and I've enjoyed them, esp Back to 1989 and Loving, Never Forgetting (Denny had a much better character and voice over in this one imo). None of them could be described as 'lite' though, so that take on pregnancy could really throw me for a loop.

How far are you? I'm @ ep12 and debating whether to drop this. None of the side stories are going anywhere and the OTP's interaction has been 99% 'cute' comedic banter *cringe*. Weird too because I usually prefer cdramas handling of that genre over others, but here it just feels romantically uninspired - like it's trying to mimic an overrated kdrama lol. Does it get better? The OTP have so much potential but the writing is driving me nuts...
