Really cute one. Can anyone tell me if Chinese dramas have just dramatically improved lately, there are more available…
I've definitely gravitated toward c/tw dramas, despite their length and dubbing (nails on blackboard lol). My only worry is increasingly better production values and actor/actress eye candy coming at the expense of good writing, something that plagues kdramas. In general, I often find the dialogue more natural than its counterparts (jdramas), esp their handling of comedy. As long as they continue to make quality shows like To Be a Better Man (SHL was amazing), Love Keeps Going, The Way We Were, Loving, Never Forgetting, Battle of Changsha, Too Late to Say I Love You, Back to 1989, In a Good Way, etc., I'll keep watching.
On ep3. For a drama that involves multiple deaths, I'm finding the comedic levity really...weird and the FLead borderline annoying. Does the otp interaction go on like this? Honestly it's his time travelling mentor who intrigues me more than anything else...
YiMu is stealing the show for me, idk if its the char or the actor.
That's why I almost exclusively watch tw/c dramas now for roms - no intimacy means no reason to proceed imo, unless of course the chemistry and writing are EXTRAordinary. In my viewing experience they trump j/k/lakorns in that arena 8/10 times. I prefer those scenes far less conservative than what we usually get, and bordering on the explicit when appropriate (one more multi-take back-hug and my eyes will be permanently rolled over), but Euro/Western style demand a VERY skilled director. The best I've ever seen in dramaland was Roy and Alice in Marry Me, Or Not. Highly Recommend.
Damn this looks very intriguing. I love the blend of time travel with cold, contract relationship to avoid future fate. I don't think I can take the weekly waits though...This sounds like a pretty romance-centric series, so the leads' chemistry will be critical.
the male lead is legit kristen stewart in the twilight saga. he has like three expressions maximum.
It's a total chemistry-killer for me. Even worse, his hypersonic dubbed lines sound like something out of a bad kung fu show. So far this doesn't hold a candle to the Korean version. The second ML here is pretty good though.
Based on the first week, I’m going to try and stick it out. At the very least it will be interesting to…
Agreed she was way OTT. I much prefer the FL here. I hope this version puts a fresh spin on this because so far I feel like I'm watching a cc of the Korean. The whole reason I watch c/tw dramas is for a different comedic flavor, which I tend to prefer over SK's. Continuing on...
Okay, so this drama is cute. And cheesy. Very, very cheesy. I really liked the slow development of their relationship.…
Yeah the really thin plot made everything very boring post episode 11, even the romance. That said, I really liked how KDH's unapologetic candor/dignity turned the usual/tired drama theatrics on their head. She was the big draw for me. And OMG the cousin, YES. We need to start a petition for more of these guys in kdrama lol.

Yeah I dropped this when it aired because the cheese factor made it feel like another completely unremarkable kdrama romcom. I wish it had a more compelling plot besides done-to-death mall ceo wars ugghh - kind of a waste of great OTP chemistry. And tbh, the whole 'contract dating' thing seems ridiculous to me, even for kdrama lol. That said, I couldn't agree more with regard to the cousin - what a pleasant surprise. And I loved how her unapologetic candor/dignity as a teacher turned the usual drama theatrics on its head.
Gave this a second chance and glad I did. HOT chemistry. Real intimacy in a kdrama? Stop the press lol. They must have studied in Taiwan xP. I can't believe I dropped this.
I'm a lot more intrigued by the dynamic between Goblin and Reaper than the romance. LDW is such a picture-perfect reaper lol. And someone give the little girl who played Ji Eun a medal, please. 99% of weepy, childhood flashback scenes make me cringe; I can probably count on one hand the number of times they've felt truly stirring. This was one of them. Brava, little one.
Shin is right - that hat is truly awful. Whose decision was that lol? Great visuals and photography, but will the storylines and dialogue hold up...we'll see.
This drama was certainly a mixed bag of some brilliant bits and some nah bits. I know that a lot of people seemed…
That's pretty much how I feel. Any kdrama that can entice me to finish it is doing something right lol. While the 'romance' was laughable the other elements at least kept me entertained. And I actually thought Im Yoon Ah did fine, all things considered (I won't go there xp). Highlights for me were the early action scenes and Yoojin, who basically stole the show.
Don't worry, if they pull another K2 Subway will have to leave SK lol.
