I'm dropping this one after 5 episodes. It's not that its bad, its just that the story hasn't hasn't really grabbed me. It seems pretty clear that the Yan Mo character is somewhere on the autism spectrum and I guess special needs romance just isn't to my taste. But reading through other people's comments, clearly many others did enjoy this drama, so read the plot summary and make up your own mind if this drama might be for you.
I've only watched two episodes, but so far Wen Shao Qing is an arrogant manipulative and slightly creepy jerk. Controlling male characters who mistreat females just trigger me. I know it will never happen, but for once I want to hear a female character tell the controlling jerk male character to go fuck himself rather than just submitting to him like a doormat. Sigh! Dropping this one after two episodes.
It's a real shame that this drama has been review bombed by MDL morality warriors who see the word "affair" in the title and then score it low without even watching it. It is an extremely good drama. If the plot summary interests you, then watch it. If you skip it just due to the ridiculously low score, you'll be missing out on a high quality drama.
As a fan of GL dramas, I found the drama cute and entertaining. In my view, it is a better drama than their last GL offering (https://kisskh.at/756595-lucky-my-love), even though the MDL scores suggest otherwise. But for viewers who aren't really fans of GL dramas, it's hard to recommend this drama. The plot is simplistic and cliched, the acting was average at best and this drama won't be winning any awards for cinematography. The chemistry between the actors is something else that I think misses the mark, especially compared to some other Thai GLs. The kisses and even the intimate scenes are barely room temperature, although it does heat up a bit right at the end. So to summarise ... * If you like GL content, then watch it - you'll probably like it. * If you're not a GL fan, then you probably won't like it much and you are perhaps better off watching something else.
I've watched quite a few Japanese dramas, and misogynistic male characters seem to be quite common. If that reflects the reality in Japan, then I feel sorry for all the women unfortunate enough to be born in that country.
It was really fun watching some of these (now) A-list actors who were then at the very start of their acting careers, and understandably, the acting wasn't always brilliant. Overall the drama was enjoyable, but it does show its age. The story kept my attention, but the writing was inconsistent with subplots just forgotten about for numerous episodes before the writers eventually remembered them. Also, there are plot holes big enough to drive a bus through, so it is best to switch your brain off while you watch it. Even though I thought the ending was quite good, overall I'd say the srama was only slightly above average. 8/10.
I'm not gonna lie. Freen's acting ability is kinda still same. Not saying it's bad but I feel like it's average.…
Personally I think Freen's acting in the series is supurb. I think she is a noticably better actor than Becky - even though Becky's acting in this series is also very good.
I am new in GL world , Could someone recommend me slow burn GL series ?
"Blank" has been by far my favourite (and in my opinion best) Thai GL series this year. Just be warned it is an age gap drama which some people don't like, but I loved. I'd describe it as slow burn, because even though the younger woman actively persued the older woman from the very start, the older woman repeatedly pushed her away due at least in part due to their age difference. Anyway, start watching it and see if it's for you. It's on YouTube.
Quite an enjoyable drama. I found the action/suspense episodes much more engaging than the romance (or lack there of) episodes. I really liked the witty banter between Mi Ka and Xing Lei, but they didn't seem to have much chemistry in a romantic sense. They mostly acted like good friends rather than lovers. A slight complaint I have is I found the whole subplot of Shu Wen Bo repeatedly and consistently rejecting the gorgeous Ruan Qing Xia's advances (even though he was clearly infatuated with her) completely ridiculous, and it was dragged out way longer than necessary. On a positive note, I thought the acting of both Wang Yang and Zhang Yao to be extraordinary, even thoughh their roles were relatively minor. If the plot summary interests you, then watch this drama - its really quite good. My score is 8½.
To those people expressing concern that Son Ye Jin might do nudity in this drama, you can all relax. There is no chance that she will. With one exception (Jeon Do Yeon), no Korean A-list actress has done explicit nudity in a Korean production. Explicit nude scenes are done by new actresses wanting to break into the industry, or struggling actresses who want to boost their career.
Dropping this one after two episodes.
So to summarise ...
* If you like GL content, then watch it - you'll probably like it.
* If you're not a GL fan, then you probably won't like it much and you are perhaps better off watching something else.
8/10.
