This drama is amazing. The way it's built up... the tension is comparable to a good political drama (which it partly is I guess). And boy did it mislead a lot of viewers in thinking it was something that it wasn't! Those who’ve dropped it for that reason are missing out big time.
Can't wait for the sweet taste of vindication that is inevitably coming at the end of the ride...

... so if the subber had chosen 'unpleasant' or 'creepy' instead of 'gross' or 'disgusting' this comment section would look a whole lot different...

I’m not sure how I’d react to Hira’s creepy behaviour to be honest. Most people would probably back off or also say something curt. At least Kiyoi engages. Both characters are flawed. Both will grow. Otherwise the story would be pretty pointless.

Both of them are lonely. Kiyoi because he’s surrounded by people who are there ‘cause he’s popular, not because they know him. Hira because he’s literally alone and has never learnt how to be around others. Kiyoi’s reaction to Hira’s creepy behaviour is to pick on him. Hira’s reaction to Kiyoi’s attention is to be submissive to him. People make connections in life in all sorts of different ways. There’s no right or wrong here yet, there’s a chance to change and grow for both of them.

This show officially features the worst kind of male misogynistic asshole (pmF)… makes my blood boil. I’m looking forward to the moment he gets thoroughly kicked in the figurative, or literal, nuts (again… pmF).
