Another reason why I am highly anticipating good quality for this show is because the director, Tian Li is the same director that did Tientsin Mystic 2017, which IMO is one of the best filmed for that series, so I am fully seated waiting to watch this🤩.

She is doing the villain-ness thing, manipulating and framing. She has no redemption arc, but just at ep 40, she has an epiphany and do the right thing for herself😅. Didn’t want to spoil too much. I still like her as a villain, apart from GMD.:)

Not sure you have reached that ep. This is where TLC found Liu Yan and trying to save him. XFT framed him saying he is the ultimate villain since he wants to save Liu Yan and then Xue XianZi and SLH came to help. SLH said he is sorry for being late. Then flash to the scene where SLH and Fang Pingzai talking. FPZ is delaying SLH using the last pearl that he wants to collect to delay him, but guess SLH didn’t wait and left to save TLC.
Then the scene repeats again.

I love how this director subtly show us those different perspectives of the scene and giving us clue to their characters. DHH’s view has always been tainted with biasness since the beginning. Li De is the rational quiet share observable of the whole process.

Then when you reach ep 40, you will have a ⏳.

She has interesting concept ideas and creatively she wrote Sci-Fi in relation to Chinese culture elements. And here we have two beautiful main casts, I am sold;). Just hope the execution of the story is as cool as the trailers.

This story wanted to explore a theme of rebirth, hence that is what TLC use to console YM at the end. And if you watch to the last part, it was also hinted the possibility of TLC being reborn as a fox dragon.
