They are not exactly enemies trope. It’s more of their hidden identity, ML is a demon Hunter and FL is a half demon. Since the show started, although they both have hidden identity, they have been pairing well and working together to solve cases;).

I seconded LilaS’s view. Plot is typical XianXia, but the pacing, the chemistry and the exchange are pretty refreshing and fun to watch.
You should really try this.;)

I have not read the novel for this, but according to novel readers, it’s pretty close to the original.
I highly recommend this if you like XianXia drama, as this is very fun to watch, esp FL’s character;).

Today’s ep. the fight scene in the forest, between the shape-shaper demon and ML is good, shows how powerful ML is, he has been hiding his ability.
Just make you wonder why he didn’t suspect FL is a demon.?
