Yeah, that’s the SML syndrome I am talking about, giving additional scenes and roles for SML and also create more screentime between FL and SML.

Based on what novel readers mentioned SML has not much influence on their relationship. By I feel this happened here is due to the common trend in recenter c drama script writing, which is to give more screen time and character obsession for SML. The SML syndrome, which I have been seeing a lot of such tropes in almost all c drama I watched lately😓.

Ah…SimaJiao is such a sweet man, he does everything for TingYan before he goes in peace😍. I like that the novel TingYan would make some sacrifice to reincarnate him, wonder how they will do it in the drama. It feels like she doesn’t know he is reincarnated from the preview.

Yeah, the Demon arc is a little harder to watch, but there are still some swooning moments.
This is definitely not as hard to watch compared to TTEOM.;)

The dialogue between NianJu and Honglou is funny. Honglou told him that bitter cucumber is not nice (hinting you Can’t force a relationship). NianJu took it literally and went and bought her sweet cucumber and reply, don’t eat bitter cucumber just eat sweet ones. 🤣🤣🤣

Exactly!!! That scenes just breaks her character. I felt sad to be disappointed at how the script had made women childish just because they are in love or behave like that in front of man she love🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Apparently in the interview, both Xu Kai and Tian Xi Wei said the actor that acted Mei Si is extremely ‘E-type’ personality, super chatty and talkative, like his character in the drama.

As below commented, it’s a historical mortal arc. Not real or modern world. They have a final arc where FL will search for SimaJiao reincarnation as mortal king, you will see in ep preview.
