Based on the latest trailers from IQIYI for ep 27-36, the Haiya people has been experimented on and failed, XBM’s father is one of the doctor from Haiya, where some turned crazy like animals. So the previous Emperor ordered to have the whole village massacre. XBM’s parent is from Haiya and he has a brother, that could be Yesha. But I wondered what’s TS’s role in all this.
This is my guess from the trailers compilation.

In the novel, their relationship has very little misunderstanding, and once ML knows about FL’s background, he will be wholeheartedly support her in whatever she wants to do. So I do hope this drama that they don’t write in a misunderstanding trope on that.

Not sure have you read the novel. I felt that due to the drama fast pace, a lot of depth about FL’s character is lost. Firstly, I do feel Zhou Ye captured the character well, again saying this, the only complaint is that how would no men realise she is a girl, she is too pretty;).
But back to the topic, her action is based on her assessment towards ML’s character. She is actually accessing Xiao Jue the moment she joined his camp, and she realise he has a soft spot although cautious. So as you do notice, she only behave childish to ML, because he can accept similar to how he accepted his own nephew’s childish behaviour. You can say it’s partly FL’s strategy to get closer to him and bring his guard down. And the more he test her, she is also testing his limits.
She does shows her skill set in strategy thinking in various incident that happened in camp, but again probably the director didnt show it clear enough, but you notice how she is observant and decisive, ruthless too when needed. She is that type of General that win by strategy and read people emotions well.
I do think this drama added a lot of comedy, I didn’t feel so when reading the novel though.

Just started first ep. Wow mind blown, it’s pretty good, pacing, acting and story narratives are coherent. I am this mini drama, so much better than a lot of full length dramas I have watched. I am going to binge watch all the release ep.

Ep 4, when he rescued her from the wolves, she was tired and lean her chest on his back.

Yes, she did, however her disappearance was so sudden😅 and no mention of what punishment was done to her of her mistake. She was non existent for the whole of ep 13😅.

It’s the category and platform of the drama that is aired that will require to go through strict censorship rules. Often mini dramas and vertical dramas are viewed as low viewership hence they tend to not be affected by this rule.

As ML character is a man with little words, but interesting Ryan uses a lot of his eyes to express various scenes. Nicely done.
Zhou Ye’s acting is always natural, just that I am still now convince that none can tell that she is a lady, but so be it.🤣😅

Ah, I see. Thanks for sharing the plot lines, these are helpful. So based on so little ep., very possible those will be the scenes and HL last fight will be with WC.
Let’s see how screen writer is going to end this, really hope it’s not a silly cliff hanger.
