And for dramatic effect, why does Zang Hai have to reveal his intention to Zhuang Lu Yin, but of course the plot has to, so we can have a scene where ZLY escapes in next ep, and gets to be challenged by ZH. Based on the preview, ZH will kill him personally??…this way too dramatic a plot, as do we really need to see a ML who has no martial skills confront a war general and kill him🤦🏻‍♀️. Okay done ranting…this drama has lots of good moments but small of this small plotholes just really spoilt it for me😓.

So we have two sacrifices to give audience opportunity for tear jerking moments. One is Wei Liang, and the other is QiaoFan. Many survived in such a brutal war, is already quite fortunate, even ManMan’s father live on. Even ML’s cousin came back to help and have his glory. This director done well to give us flashbacks of the deceased, to allow audience to grief. And we have a complete and satisfactory ending. I just felt the few villains death were too easy for them. I also felt sad for the two magistrates who helped to build the canal were also sacrificed.
The last 4 ep were a lot of stabbing, someone should compile them. lol!😅🤣.

Very smart writing, although we have sacrifices, this screenplay have done adequate justice to please the audience 🤩.
