Just watched two ep and I am impressed. The production, costume and pacing are good. I am excited to see both leads are smart and will compete with an undercurrent of family dispute.

Yes. Some minor plot holes but the ending story is coherent and satisfactory. As most of us already know how the ending shall be, just seeing it put togather and seeing the casts great acting on their roles, is definitely worth it.

To me, he is like Gríma Wormtongue, feeding poison to King Théoden Rohan. He is that type of antagonist character that has no guts to seek revenge himself but attempts to manipulate FL in doing things for him. Worst, in his own romance fantasy, he wants FL to be like him and suffer like him as he felt that they should be a pair.

I think Black Fox cannot be killed as it’s the embodiment of hatred and resentment, so in this series, FL talks about having her son as an opposing entity to fight that. But based on Sword and Beloved’s story, I think DFHY, was so affected by his grief that he didn’t really show his son’s love. I am eager to see how it’s handle in SAB.

I feel you. Yeah exactly. Why can’t the author keep them alive, they could be severely injured but still survive, but alas…😭😭😭.

Its been hours since I finished this and many commenters have already given good perspectives on why HongYe’s arrogant caused the deaths of his team mates.
Just adding my perspective, the masked group is definitely not ready for the fight. However JiuHuo has caused a catastrophic effects resulting HongYe needed to go outside the borders early to stop the black fox invasion. The mask group members definitely are too naive and juvenile, thinking they could win the battles and help their big brother.
I also felt Zhang Zheng shouldn’t just die like that as he is the only one that manage to overcome the black fox’s manipulation spell. But this story has to kill him off and let his lover kill him as then the story can continue to next series. I just felt this author don’t like happy ending for his couples. Sigh😓

I know what you mean, when I watched RMP previously, I dropped it too. Now I may pick it up again after this.
