I know what you mean, when I watched RMP previously, I dropped it too. Now I may pick it up again after this.

ML never marry again. FL dies after childbirth, as she was attacked by JRF. ML has to live to train his son then we will have next series. The black fox is still contained outside borders. If you want to know about Black fox, can watch Red Moon Pact.

Kudos to Zhang Yun Long, he done a fantastic job as WangQuan HongYe, you can see his desperation and grief when he lost his family in the last ep 33 to 36. Although there are many possibilities that the mask group members doesn’t have to be sacrificed, but it will not work for the next series if this didnt happen this way. This drama tried its best to pull everything together and tell a coherent story.

This was my same thought. Why wasn’t the group prepared to deal with this. It’s like they know the black fox’s trick and plan, yet they went head on and sacrificed all. HongYe could have done some mental training for them or prepared them in this.

We like to watch the great CP chemistry and stopped before it ends since we know the ending🤣😅.

You can watch for the characters’ chemistry. The different CP here has great chemistry . I personally like Jiu Huo and JiaLan’s story as well as Zhang Zhen and Qing MuYuan’s story. But it’s also true that after one invested in their characters, quite hard to see them go even though we are prepared.

Thats the same thought I have. They saw the future and said they are going to change it, yet we didn’t really see their preparation and the future still happens as it is, so what has change? The sacrifices to stop black fox who will never die.

😱I missed that part. So we are starting over on their relationship. But now having ML being a green tea over Fl who has heart set on revenge.😓

RMP’s story was not as coherent. Here at least although with plotholes, the script and acting still works for me;).

Actually if based on his story, he and JiaLan was in their mountain not creating any trouble, till the Beast kingdom, demon king captured him and caused death of JiaLan which resulted in the birth of black fox because of her resentment. So it’s a cyclic problem of karma. They are indeed a tragic couple.

Ep 29 and 30, we see the angsty plot is beginning.

This drama just have a lots of classic XianXia tropes, like misunderstandings, obstacles and revenge with angst. But some said the ending is happy. So at least if we see their sufferings are temporary😅.
