Sun Zhen Ni really done such a great job in her role, felt it’s a break through for her leading to her first main role in ‘The Blossoming Love’ - a must watch if you like her acting here.
Watching these scene makes me feel sad for the couples as since I knew how each couple will end with BE.

My thoughts on Ep 5 -6:
TTJ first experienced magical power!!! TTJ’s imagination of killing YXW and that smirked smile, so handsome!YXW’s trying to prevent his self harm behaviour. lol!TTJ first misunderstanding towards YXW after her overheard her conversation with XL.
This ep we get to see a lot of TTJ’s eye acting, impressive!
Initially when I first watched, I like the love line between XL and YBC but that change after I know the truth about YBC.
Our first look on heart protecting scale.!
LSS/YXW saving TTJ from the crow by hugging him…hahhaa. She intends to die together with him. I love TTJ’s black with red underlay costume. Love the scene when TTJ orchestrated the kill, was beautiful and scary at the same time.

Yeah, the storytelling is choppy, and because it’s a typical trope, we have watched too many of such dramas to know its problem😅. I blamed the director. But I do agreed that both Arthur and Sabarina play their role well. Ep 9-10, will be their first challenge, long distance relationship. Will read your comments after you seen it.

Personally, I don’t like the relationship dynamic that was written and how the director film this. The story telling is not very smooth and the chemistry for the leads could be done way better.
We all know this is an old classic trope of misunderstanding and reconcilation after 10yrs, second chance on first love, etc. However for the first 4 ep., I didn’t see the leads chemistry when they met again, then we have lots of focus on their past which portray frustration in their relationships and ML putting so much effort in the chase and FL just focus on her tasks. Even they got together in latest ep., it still feels rather force.
Both Arther and Sabrina done well in expressing their roles, I only blame the editing and how their story was told wasn’t captivating for me as a viewer.
For such tropes, I love how it’s done in ‘Road Home’, that has better pacing and captured the leads’ chemistry. Like commenter some mentioned earlier, this feels like a show written for certain group of audience. I am just disappointed that I am not one of them liking this. I do like Arther’s acting. I may drop this.
But you should try it as you may have different take on this.

Hahaha…I dropped that. I mentioned it more for the mature theme. I don’t like the story premise. The FL is an interesting character that you rarely see in c drama, she is grey and not likeable, however such character does portray certain realism. Since I drop it, can’t really comment much on the morality of the story. Saying that, we always see men cheats, so for once it’s refreshing to see women also can be fickle minded and become a cheater.

Hahaha…hi Mooc! Haven’t seen your feisty comments around. I can see you are still upset with the typical c drama trope. Have you watch any mature c drama themes? Maybe can try ‘Tale of Rose’ or ‘In between’, flaw ML and FL.

That scene was well filmed and both Arther and JingYi done so well with their emotions in that scene. As you mentioned, I am having flashbacks. I missed L&P😭. Oops, wrong page to comment on😅.

Reading all these comments, at first I was wondering, “am I in the wrong page…” As all the L&P scenes flashbacks in my memories. I do miss LiXun and Zhu Yun’s character after so many years.😅🤣 I am also a hardcore L&P fan.

A God of War frozen for thousands of year, woke up, the first thing he saw was a beautiful lady needing his rescue and needing his care. Of course he believes it’s a destiny and dated love. lol!
Actually the back story and premise is coherent but how it is directed and filmed by this team, just made the pacing rush and they didn’t focus on set up of characters instead pushes for the CGI and fight scenes which were probably good 4yeare ago. If this was released earlier, maybe it could have been a big hit.

Yes. As usual ML is with the Heavenly sect and FL is being brought up by the Demon sect.

Thanks for sharing this. Apart from ‘The tale of Rose’, such confused and indecisive FL’s type of character is something I don’t fancy watching. So is FL feeling inferior because of her background incompatibility with ML or she marries SML because she feels it’s a practical thing for her to do?.

IMO, I have been spoilt by some of the recent XianXia I watched. The story is coherent but just that this team didnt do a good job in story telling and the production isn’t that great here. If this was released 4years ago, it may have been a big hit. You can watch it and decide because you may have different take on this.

I agreed 4 ep is not adequate to judge the story. Arther definitely done a good job in his role here. But the story telling method here was not great, so hopefully it will pick up when story progresses.

So they met, fell in love, practice cultivation, got torn apart and ML sacrifice for FL to protect her just in two ep. And now into next arc. OMG, what have I just watched! This is lovers to enemies then to lovers again kind of trope, going to be filled with misunderstanding and forbidden love between demon and god. Not forgetting the as always unkind, prejudice and cruel heavenly people.🤦🏻‍♀️ I wondered why I kept watching XianXia with such tropes, these tropes just kept repeating itself. Story-telling lacks creativity and sadly as these was produced 4 years ago, the CGI and costume looks outdated.

Wow…talked about bullet train romance for Bai Yan and Ni Huang in first two ep.😅.
