Hi Jules, IMO it’s pretty good plot filled with angst and suspense but quickly resolved. Can try ep 1-5, you get to feel lots of twists and it’s quite fast pace. We have both scheming ML and FL. If you enjoyed The Double, this is a must watch;)

Finally the ally between ML and FL, even their marriage has to be so eventfully dramatic. I wondered whether it’s proper for FL to marry so immediately, wouldn’t she be deem as unfillial towards her mother’s death?

Wah I am speechless, just finished ep 17-19, what kind chaotic writing is this? In three ep., the twist happened so fast!! I actually don’t know how to digest the plot. Maybe should have watched one ep a day and not watched all three in one day.😓

Let me try to reply, I watched till ep 16., and I didn’t read the novel. Han Yan’s dad evil side has yet been fully revealed, but we know he is not as timid or kind as he pretend to be. He definitely seems to be involved in her mother’s family downfall, but we don’t know yet. It was so far told that the first two years of their marriage were good till HanYan’s mom gave birth. We don’t know as yet the motive of him marrying HanYan’s mom. The dead sister is YuShan’s biological sister and from the concubine.

Your guess make sense. i do feel he is deliberately not showing his emotions and only looking for someone suitable to take care of his daughter and family.👍🏻

Finally caught up with ep 16. Is it me or I wonder ML’s confession feels so business-like. So he knew FL doesn’t believe in love, and he is going to make a business dealing with her about their marriage…the scenes was so unromantic😅.

In this drama, they haven’t reveal who his parents were. But adoptive parents mentioned they die.

Hahhaa…that’s my thought as he is all about getting FL’s attention and trying his best to win her over.;)

I am wondering that why isn’t HanYan doing something about the concubine and YuShan, she should be by now realising that their plotting on her will be worsening.

I had the same thought, wondering why HanYan didn’t do anything when YuShan is plotting. But I guessed it’s because she didn’t expect YuShan to do a killing plot, she was just observing then it got out of hand. But it’s definitely a plot opportunity for both leads to be close.

In ep 15, we are seeing ML being so ‘green tea’ in behaviour..,that horse rescue and that concern.

I see you manage to finish it. Yup totally agreed with your review. The first arc was good, the last arc was so messy and tried too hard.

In the novel is straightforward, Tian Ming knew the sacrifice is needed and it just happened, he was not really the main mastermind. Hao Tian is an apocalypse that just ceased after Tian Ming is ceased. Zhao Ming maintained as dark lord and Hun Dun Zhu marries and accepted him. They both rule the dark abyss to maintain peace and they have kids. Here they gave Tian Ming a bigger involvement and gave Hao Tian a stronger voice as the deranged evil entity.

IMO, FL being skinny for this story make sense as she has been starved by her adoptive parents hence she is malnourished and skinny. However FL’s face is too full and round, that makes it hard to connect that image 😓.
