I didn’t read SiJin novel. But reading comments about the drama story and what I saw in the drama, I just didn’t like how the drama write the characters, so I dropped that too. But here the drama is so far good, hope it keeps up to this pacing and story telling.

Just saw a news on the release of this drama on International platform, for a moment there I was excited. Came here to read comments and is sad that it’s fake news. Like the yearning for Immortality, when will these two dramas shed light.

That part, I don’t know. I didn’t read the novel, but some novel readers mentioned that this adaptation has a lot of changes, so we shall see how the story unfold here.

Agreed. I had the same impression so far. She is back to understand what happened to her mother and why she was abandoned. For 6ep., she is still trying to figure out then in ep 6, we see that she is beginning to understand why her mom is trying to send her away. A very smart and self aware girl.

She is a very interesting FL indeed, courageous, grey, witty and scheming.

He is good as domineering CEO in Mr Honesty, modern drama with Liang Jie.

You will be surprised, he may be the ultimate villain.

Her mother’s Ruan family down fall could be caused by FL’s father, and all these years, she is trying to accumulate enough evidences to bring him and the others involved in cahoot down. And she doesn’t want her daughter to be caught in all the conflicts, and tried so hard to push her daughter far away and want to give her a chance to live normal life without realizing her daughter was also badly abused and suffering.

My bold guess…on FL’s mom heartless intention…

Ep5, so it’s ML who has been secretly assisting FL, and he continues to test FL’s wits. Their chemistry is good. And his every exchange with FL is his way of guiding FL in her scheme, so cute.

There is a lot of questions unanswered. FL’s maternal family was influential and rich, hence FL’s father depends on his first wife to govern the household, however there are definitely more deeper and hidden secrets. FL’s mom behaviour could be driven by wanting to protect FL from more harm hence she tried so hard to chase FL away. But FL chooses to stay on and the secrets will unveil. That’s how I gathered so far.

This is actually good. Intially I was wondering from Kill Me, Love Me to The Blossom, to SiJin, will I be tired of such tropes…but 4 ep., I felt the writing, pacing, acting, fighting, costume and cinematography are all so well done here. Just hope they keep up the momentum.
