I don’t think it’s bad, just messy to me. The strong focus on having the FL to save the day and everyone was too forcefully written for me at the final arc. But it’s just a personal opinion.
It’s probably just me. There are good points, like the girls coming together and Yunxi’s plan to revealed Zhuang was good. I can also accept the concubine’s willingness to help as she was rescued. But from there onwards, YuShan’s turning, having HanYan running to rescue Yunxi, the ‘He’ guy trying to frame FL, the Wen’s wife having evidence on ML being undercover and how the villian was forced to write the anitidote was just all too convenient.
The last 5 ep really baffles me…where’s the plot logic???
It just feels rather messy, plot twists for the sake of plot twists, when it’s repeated too many times, it became uninteresting. It feels like the writer is trying so hard to please everyone and give satisfying explanation for each characters ending, but it feels rather forceful. The plot is quite messy at the end, it just gave everyone a chance to showcase their emotions. But at least it ends with audience not needing to see ML’s dying but we knew his poison has no cure.

Totally understand. Once bitten twice shy. Back then for PA1, it really has way too many ep and too many fillers with poor production scenes 🤦🏻♀️. I am glad that they are using a fresh pair of leads and different directors for S2, hence will likely be expecting something very different from S1. I will go in without expectation and waiting to be surprised. Yup, for me, the CP between ZLY and LGX is make up in Legend of Shenli, don’t need to see them again. lol!

Just caught up with ep 24, FL needs a child and Mu Feng to come to her senses that she has been manipulative towards ML. ML is scheming but not vicious and has good values because of his adoptive family. Ah Zi is so smart and mature.
