Some after thoughts…the screen play decided to kill off FL’s mom to show use that she has to suffer her retribution of abandoning her daughter for revenge. Then the latest story on the older woman who got her freedom and happy ending with FL’s help, shows an opposite ending. And the repetitive dialogue from ML, warning FL that her seeking power and revenge won’t result to good ending. It’s all set up so hopefully FL can learn her lesson before it’s too late. ML is scheming but he is not revengeful and he has his family to protect but FL is reckless and she is going on self destructive mode to revenge. Hopefully she realise it and not needing ML to rescue her from her action. Every action has consequences, fingers crossed that we see a good conclusion of her action. We shall see.

Yup, exactly. She is reckless and not concerning about ML’s position. Hence I commented later that ML’s daughter maybe the turning point for her, my guess.

Yup, I know. Thats why I commented about the director’s art direction on this scene. So far as how the story was told, I also believe ML has no intention of hurting FL, however the director could use a different styling to show their dialogue instead of the choking approach.😓
Ah, I see. Interesting, now you pointed out. True, the make up artists seems to darken her looks quite a bit, maybe to make her a little scarier as a character 😅.
Ep 23, the synopsis is misleading. It said these two leads will learn to trust each other and used their wits together to uncover and bring down villian. With only 7 more ep. left, I am only seeing FL doing all the scheming and charging forward herself and just using ML, she is all spikes of revenge, which I understand but she is definitely not working with ML😅😅😅.
People may hate Yunxi for the roof tile scene I don’t care.. his eyes were full of tears when she said you want…
My only complaint about that roof top scene was, why did the director ask ML to grab her neck…and they did that twice!!! There are more witty ways of showing ML’s frustration towards FL’s recklessness, I don’t think he intends to hurt or kill her but he is trying to warn her of the danger she is putting herself into and not discussing with her before executing them. I also felt this plot turn was to show viewers how FL has turn from being ML’s pawn to be the chess player and controlling ML as pawn. IMO too abruptly done 😓😓😓.

Yeah, the family plot has been moved to palace politics involving Consort Miao. This whole plot was done so fast, that we can easily missed it. The Dengs and Yao are just those who dislikes women in power and trying to overthrow Consort Miao. FL is just trying to gain her protection and taking a gamble that she will agree to help her bring down her father. It’s confusing indeed. Too many plot points on the revenge, also because FL’s father is rather scheming too.😅
Wow…ep by ep, this series never fails to surprise me. FL is all in revenge mode and turn her tables around towards ML. Can’t see this pair being any way close to being in love…feels more like to carnivore walking along the same path but anytime could bite each others throat 😓.
