“Life is fragile and filled with uncertainty, but doesn’t mean we stop living or loving.” Beautiful realistic theme explored by the lead couple. The more fragile and unpredictable life can be, the more they learn to live with meaning and strong love to protect each other from the storms. And the second couple is about courage and bravery, there are moments they admired each others’ courage and bravery to others and to protect, and realizing doing such acts, doesn’t require them to self sacrifice their own needs, embracing it, they found joy and more love. Random rant, as this series is finishing in two more ep., hopefully we get a good, heartfelt, warm ending, where everyone come through happy.
You manage to finish this, thought you have dropped it.;) Nice written review. I was also sceptical of Johnny Huang’s acting, but he pull off this role, stereotypical hero, who won’t die easily. I don’t understand Cantonese, but felt it sounded awkward when the Chinese actors said it, just not natural. I have watched some Hong drama in the past, definitely didn’t sound like that. lol! And totally agreed, I feel more for the villians in the end of this show, fantastic actors that dual.
Pei Yan's mother led the emperor to believe that Pei Yan is his son. Jiang Ci is Prince Qi's daughter. How can…
Agreed. It’s like the usual trend of script writing that falls apart in the last 10ep. I am not expecting much now, will see how they are going end this.😅
Pei Yan's mother led the emperor to believe that Pei Yan is his son. Jiang Ci is Prince Qi's daughter. How can…
Oh yeah that scene didn’t make sense. I wonder how they will wrap this up with such plotholes. Probably conveniently make the Emperor the ultimate villian of setting every single event up since beginning.

I was thinking about that. Either Emperor doesn’t believe PY’s mom, which wasn’t the case shown in earlier ep. Or he didn’t believe JC is his brother’s daughter, or the Emperor is sick in his mind. But definitely an incoherent plot hole and doesn’t make sense to allow the marriage. Probably script writer didn’t realise this.
Just started ep 1., wow first 6mins I am impressed by FL’s mother, after shot by an arrow can still gather the horse and send FL away. The plot has no drag, pretty fast moving.
just means they will have to accept their fate and are meant to go separate ways.
Jung HaeIn and Jung SoMin are really adorable together. As of ep13, it will be safe to start as their worst misunderstanding will be over and left 3 more ep. Good think about k drama is it’s short;) Ah, Wang ChuRan and Tan JianCi, in my watch list but not sure when it will air. Story of Pearl Girl seems interesting, heard it may drop in Oct., will check that out too.;) If you are dropping this, I will Cya around.;)

I feel that certain plot point became a drag. The actors acted well, but just find the editing and transition from scene to scene wasn’t smooth. One moment JC is all witty and smart and has mind of her own, and can be perceptive then next moment she became judge mental and cruel.
just means they will have to accept their fate and are meant to go separate ways.
Yes my friend, very likely this will have a SE or OE. Similar like AJTL, many viewers stopped before the last ep. I think it seems to be a popular trend for SE in historical or fantasy c drama 😅. Totally agreed that L&P has a nice complete HE. Are you waiting for or anticpating any new drama upcoming? If you also watch K drama, can try Love Next Door, a slice of life Rom-Com, good story and great characters development.
just means they will have to accept their fate and are meant to go separate ways.
Ah, that’s the meaning of the title. Symbolising their love and fate although intertwined together like water, but are meant to flow separate ways into streams. I am prepared for SE, just hope the last 10ep properly explain the trios’ conflict and their characters’ arc, motivation and behaviour. The recent transition of characters’ arc and their relationship conflicts feel a little choppy. She was one moment all into helping WZ and next moment all into hating him. One moment sitting at the rock sharing her childhood and next moment poison him and he wholeheartedly not suspicious. Then one moment FL and teacher on the run and next moment captured…I don’t know, just felt disconnected.😅.

And after 14 ep., first time noticing the ‘Egg Drop’ restaurant advertisement. lol!

And poor Dan-Ho, strongly feels for him.
And agreed that the dialogue can be better crafted and not just explosive reaction.
