I preferred Alchemy of Souls 1, feels season 2 became draggy in terms of plot but still a good watch. I personally like Snowdrop a lot, but it’s a tragic story, so be prepared. It’s simple love story between two of the opposite side.

Most of the titles are on my Plan to Watch too.;) So many and too many, I will have to sample and decide which one catch my attention.

PY is just obsessed with a carefree JC, his ideal life he can never have as always been under control by his Mom. I feel he didn’t really love her but instead love her ideal freedom and courage.

Jeremy Tsui is indeed a good looking chap. This drama make up and camera angle doesn’t really enhance his good looks. But as PY is a snobbish and withdrawn character, I can understand why Jeremy choose to portray as little expression for PY and often gave the constipated look.😅

Jeremy Tsui is always a very polite and well mannered in interviews. I find him very genuine in interviews and tends to be very authentic in response. Hope he feels better after a good break and come back with more good roles.

That’s the inconsistent part about the character I am struggling with. It was set up in beginning that she has wits and she can deduce well but only a little navie. But then as ep progresses, we are seeing that she is not using her brain anymore. Frustrating.

Today’s ep., I feel she wasn’t very skilled as an assassin and really not very smart.

So decided to watch yesterday and today ep together, at least tomorrow we will have two ep. Wei Zhao is our hero that keeps everything to himself and rather suffered in silence than feeling the need to explain. He is like Batman.😅 So JC in grief will naturally blame him for not protecting her Master and hates him for a while, but I believe she will forgive him because ultimately he is also a chess piece in this game. It will be irrational if she seeks revenge on him. Just hope this won’t drag till ep 38.😓

It’s hard to advice as viewing preference can be very subjective. For once, I didn’t find the reveal of her serious illness as cliche. She is workaholic and has poor selfcare, so for a pivotal plot, this script gave her a terminal illness that almost kill her. Then she starts to make life changing plan, returned to her hometown and learnt to love her family, found herself and found love. It’s not very complicated plot, IMO, the pacing is just right their relationship is realistic enough and they shown good chemistry as a couple. It’s after all only 16ep., so this drama expect that the main CP plot line was to be always meant for each other since young, just that they didn’t realise. The ML is more self aware of his affection hence his journey to help her figure out which she did, and they are together.
The second couple’s story is slightly more complex but still straightforward, as the theme is about courage to pursue their love. It’s admiration turn to love. They are shy and has some setbacks but resolved. Then among all we have some complications of Ex involvement and their parents’ relationship.
So it’s really up to you.

In our mind, we already have our own verdict without even reaching the end🤣.

The author is highlighting the stereotypical ‘mummy issues’ and the dads are quiet, tolerance and submissive. What does this tell us about this author’s perspectives😅. Another observation, all women here are strong will, openly expressive emotions and independent whereas the men are quiet, also strong will in their own ways, but quiet sufferers. Just a general observation.

I hear you. MDL is an open platform, free for people to express their thoughts and views; and will be respected. However when commenters dislike this story or this drama for whatever reason, I wonder why they keep coming here to complaint, and it is really pointless to argue with them as opinions are subjective. So if they repetitively shared the same negative views with no basis, the. it’s just them calling for attention. I will ignore them.✌️🕊️

I don’t know, just speculation based on how the plot progresses. Don’t take my guess to seriously, let’s watch on.

This series just kept making everyone suffer, now is FL’s turn. She is going to say ML got her to do it, my speculation. Sigh…
