Final rant, recounting some of the little moments between JC and WZ from ep37-39…

The ending was quite quick, not much drag. I appreciate they bother to at least show some closure scene for JC. And yes I cried with JC too😭.

They run out of ep. It’s a common happening in c drama, the focus on set up and somehow didn’t plan enough time for an ending, so it feels too quick, and actually it didn’t really help when we have an express release hence no time to savour the scenes. But totally agreed that we are deprived of the couple moments.

Yes! That look from Allen Ren was so well done. You see his expression show his longing and missing 😍. I my truly impressed by his micro facial expression.

After a few earlier rant on how the ending could be different and some plotholes. I would say this has been an enjoyable drama for me. The trios, Wei Zhao, Pei Yan and Jiang Ci have their ending which flows with their character arc. Not forgetting our only happy couple in Yueluo. The director tried to emphasize on how death is not the end for Yueluo people and they will always watch over you (like the master Jedi blue ghost. lol).

PY lost his best buddy then he found SanLang, then SanLang also have to go, and Dr Cui also leave him. He is the most loneliness man in this series like his mom.

I agreed. After ranting, this is overall an enjoyable watch because the casts are all good in their roles.

At that emotional scene, I actually burst out in disbelieve when PY jumped in the scene after WZ called him. I was like, Oh he is there all along, but what was he doing there? Standing watching while JC and WX talked to each other? He is so polite 😅.
The last ep does have some emotional intense scenes, overall the casts all done well, I am just not happy at the story was written so choppy at the end.

It’s not really a surprise. This is a novel adaptation and the novel has SE. And since beginning of this story, the viewers have been preempted of the possible SE.

Thanks for sharing the novel, the novel definitely have more depth in the ending arc and it make more sense but I guessed this drama runs out of ep😓.

Exactly!!! They just suddenly made WZ suicidal, but why??? I know it will be SE, but I am just not satisfied by how the story ended too😓😓😓. WZ is now a blue ghost like a dead Jedi master???!!!
I think this production tried to appease the audience by giving all the CP’s flashback. But I just can’t make sense of why it had to end this way.

WZ should be able to escape, he has very good martial arts skills right??? Even if he is poisoned, Dr Cui should be able to cure him.???
When JC found WZ being buried, they were talking and she was trying to remove the pillar, where is PY? Standing behind watching JC removing the fallen pillars herself and only responded when WZ called him and asked him to look after JC.
It seems such a short period after war and ceremony, where did WZ find time to build hut, plant flowers, made cat, move swings etc??? He is really a Superman.
Prince Qi’s death by suicide was it really necessary???
