Prideful Introvert? I think the parents are so open and outwardly expressive of their emotions, resulting in their child (ML) being shy and shameful of his own emotions, hence poor in expression. That can happen.

In my perspective, ML is not totally low EQ, he can sense when FL in distress and needed support. But he is really not bothered with relationships and he is prideful, so expressing his emotions towards other, seems quite a difficult for him. He saying “I like you.” had to drag so many ep😅.
