Oh, so that’s what that meant! I was super confused by the word peacehttps://x.com/cbiz_journal/status/1726102919840497707?s=20
Yes! That’s beautiful isn’t it. Chinese word play are so subtle. And I wonder at that moment when he said it to JXN, did she understands. But then it’s over.
he is not a prince his cousin is, he is a viscount. Lord Ping'an kidnapped him when he was a kid after he pretended…
Let me help in this: - XW is half brother to XS and her brother. - Yes, Duke Xue wants to get rid of Yan family because Yan family has strong military power. - yes, related as uncle and nephew. - No, no one know XW’s identity yet.
Can’t help but notice that Gu Wan Niang has always been a great help and support to Li Ni. But alas, she is not the FL so will never get ML’s heart. This LCF’s arc really drag quite long.
yall 😔 I have a buttload of analysis I want to do abt the latest eps and how much it changes things thematically…
Just rant, this is an open comment page. Your perspective from a novel reader can give those who just watch drama some context that may not be clear when it’s put to screen.
Like the part you mentioned about how ZZ should said those lines instead of XW to JXN, I totally understand how it would make sense in the book. However think about how this drama has to be consolidated in 38 ep., they changed certain lines and story to speed up the process. Now we don’t actually see a growth in JXN’s character yet and she has yet properly reconciled with ZZ; but then her relationship with XW has progress. Inly so few ep left to play out their emotions. Thanks for your sharing.
Ep 5 was emotional then the team discussion was comical on a serious topic and the ending was again emotional between the relationship of the senior Dr and the patient. What a rollercoaster in one ep. Like how they put emphasis on every characters and not just focus on the main leads.
Just discover this. Didn’t know the Imperial Coroner CO will do a modern drama. Is it good so far? Watch first…
Thanks so much for the summary. I do realised the fast action since the beginning. Agreed that Wang ZiQi is great for this role. Will watch on. I am on ep.4 now, tension and suspense is building up on the plot.
JXN is very sadden that the event still happened (ZZ’s mom passing in the cold) and she fear if ZZ continues…
I don’t think you missed anything. I felt the same and also wondered about ZZ’s anger. But I also see it that ZZ is smart enough to see JXN is taking the blame and pushing him away, and he wanted her to stop talking as he said. He is so grief stricken that he really didn’t need JXN to come and take the blame, but she did and said so inappropriate things as to clearly wanting to leave him. As you noticed the last part, he tried to reach out and hold her, which she push him away. So that’s how I see it to make sense. 😅
I didn't understand that whole fight scene between ZZ and JXG. so she was breaking up with him because she felt…
JXN is very sadden that the event still happened (ZZ’s mom passing in the cold) and she fear if ZZ continues to hang around her, he will get implicated and still ends up dying because of his involvement with her. So she push him away. And she just took the whole blame and let ZZ blames her so she felt in this way, he will still have a will to live on.
