TLC has special physical attribute that he can savage FZ’s heart in his stomach and purify the dark force (FZ was wounded by YiQue YinYang and stained by dark powers). So once he complete the purification, using the rebirth scroll, he can return the heart back to FZ’s body (which he als preserved). Now LiuYan stole half of the scroll, so he can’t complete the ritual.

Based on novel readers, the original source has no romance. In this drama, the main lead, Tang Li Ci (Lou YunXi) has chemistry with every supporting casts that he is on screen with. There were hint on him an another female character, IMO barely existence, however there is a lot of strong brotherly relationship and TLC has an obsession to Fang Zhou. So this is really not a romance drama.

He is one of the minion, the ultimate villain is YiQue YingYang / Ye Mo.

It’s nice that this show pay tribute to Wu Zhe Tian and her good deeds, in a lot of past c historical drama I saw, Wu Zhe Tian is often portrayed as a tyrant, I am glad we get to hear a different side of her from her family.

Yup, SWM and XJ have been subtly influencing him, he is starting to see ‘grey’ now and not just his old style of ‘black and white’ thinking.

Did you watch the drama Youthful Glory? I love her character in that show and I thought she acts very well there.
WoF is just limited for female leads’ characterization as WoF is still mainly focus on TLC’s journey.

That’s my exact same thought…why did they put so many corals accessories on her head. She is not a coral Princess? or the kingdom is related to some sort of sea stuff? The color choice for her costume also doesn’t match her…one down for the costume design here.

Ye Mo and TLC is from the same place, a celestial realm where both are higher beings with special powers, can self heal and won’t die easily. Their species have no knowledge of emotions but strive to be the best potential of oneself. TLC is one of the best version created. Ye Mo is the first of their species to be fallen into human realm and experienced betrayal from human beings hence he became destructive and named himself as YiQue YinYang…he was presumably destroyed, however in latest ep. We all knew he survives and want to use TLC’s body as his vessel.
A lot of commenters mentioned Xiao Shi as suspicious, but based on novel readers, he is not. He is a plot device to show how TLC uses his skill he learnt from his mentor, FangZhou, to guide another young person who is being misunderstood.
