Hey thankss very much for your reply. Ya Im tempted to watch as i do enjoy watching romance xianxia, reincarnation stories…(my fav is Yang Mi’s Eternal Love/ TLTWTMPB). And will keep this in my bucket list : )

Is the ending happy for main leads or sad? Bcos seeing you mentioned their 4th lifetime is ‘left trapped fixing the demon net or whatever it was called’…so does it mean they have a mission together but aren’t exactly together as a couplehood thingy?

I just finished watching Dylan Wang in Unchained Love with overload of chemistry sweetness of him and his FL there, and trying to get over the aftermath of the ended drama, hence checking out his other works here…Can share how much sweetness level (0 lowest, 10 highest) you may rate for main leads’ chemistry throughout the drama ya?

This movie has deep meanings…no wonder it won many awards! For me, any movie winning art awards are worth checking it out to experience the artistic production as an eye opener, and of course even before watching does have the expectation it’s probably going to be a sad ending…else, how to make it memorable for audiences : )

Some parts i didn’t quite understand…probably their romance isn’t something usually happen as the background of both main leads are least expected to fall in love…(guess it’s the irony used for most movies whereby people from totally opposite sides fall in love and being forbidden it’s challenging and more stories to tell…) However, if looking from an artistic point of view, it’s beautifully written bcos love rarely at first sight but bcos of daily encounters and keeping in mind will tend to create or nurtured into loving feeling for one another, which in this case the detective himself isn’t aware he has ‘something’ for her…and when he tries to avoid it by deciding to go back to his wife’s place of residing but FL instead begins to love him even more…bcos of his actions (his cares for her…to throw away the mobile phone evidence, instead of capturing her with it!).

Couldn’t agree more that sometimes love does happen at the strangest time…but bcos both leads are adulthood and ML being in police force (has to do with law & order => rigid) so guess it’s right that director showing their love in subtle way…they aren’t those showy love, let alone wild love…just lightly, FL is just happy to be by his side even if only as a investigation suspect for ML…The scene whereby ML able to fall asleep while in the same car with FL (btw she’s on hand cuffs with him!)…clearly shows how much at ease he is with her beside him (when this scene plays out, was really surprised how the script can be written the place least able or expected to showcase love actually happens…in the police car!lol🤭)

Love is selfless and FL’s action to clean up the blooded pool of water shows how much she cares for ML…(logics aside how possible it is for FL to drag a heavy dead man who’s body looks like having been trained in gym for long) and it’s sad to know she had picked the route to death instead of trying to rebuild/ reignite the love ML has for her. The moment ML asked her over the phone when did he confess his love for her, she laughed with tears…as though realizing it is just her delusion that he once loves her.

Only when one has lost love, will then realize what was once there🥹

Spoiler: A lighthearted movie…but at some point feeling a bit sad for KY bcos he has given up his first love knowing it would not work out or may affect KMN’s existence (when his gf isn’t married to his best friend won’t have her).

Sometimes worth pondering is what if he didn’t know in the future world his gf will have his best friend as her husband and even have a daugther, won’t he be more relaxed with her around the best friend and won’t be acting weirdly of illogically punching best friend, stalking her around to meetings etc…KY isn’t a weird guy to begin with, not until he found out their possibilities of being together and maintaining the relationship is no longer and he tried his best in hope to prevent it from ended. So it’s a bit unfair for KY when he couldn’t be with anyone at the end…at least director of the movie didn’t show he’s with anyone, did he?🤔

At some point I was hoping KMN have a closer connection to KY…maybe she’s his daugther bcos his gf truly loved him and was with him and they had a child but he no longer ard and best friend takeover to take care of them…just my imagination (then I checked his best friends family name is also KIM same as him so slim chance to be his daugther)…or probably he likes her (he did remember she was waiting in the rain on their first supposed meet up and in his own timeline—meaning after 20yrs of KIV the incident— he as a well known writer purposely went there to passed the yellow umbrella to her beau…instead of that can’t he be approaching her or something…hmm) so when they meet up in the cafe for book signing will be like romance miracle instead of just life miracle (yes his decision saved a girl being born or continued to exist in the world). Hence, a bit disappointed as was hoping for more.

Anyways, for those haven’t watch it may begin without any expectations as it’s a good watch for the likes of friendship connection between people of different timelines having mutually helping each other : )

Enjoy watching…am too trying to get pass the aftermath of this couple’s sweetness by appreciating their BTS ^^

This drama is interesting to the extent that I just begun to watch Episode 16 (it’s my principle that never to start a drama in the middle of nowhere to avoid missing out or misjudging a drama, however my family was watching halfway so I just took a few minutes and it caught my attention!) but decided to binge watch it towards the end…and interesting enough to make me U-turn back to parts I’ve missed earlier in Episode 1 to 15…lol…great chemistry between main leads (just watched Sakra movie and I knew FL is great acting there and it proves even more in this drama!)…sweetness overload ^^

Summary is it’s full of unexpected parts…whereby stories unfolds:
• Romance between a eunuch and imperial concubine
(OMG! Nowadays scriptwriter/ novelist are getting more interesting….probably Chinese historian won’t be too excited to know as eunuchs in the real history wouldn’t be a suitable love interest due to their physical deformity after castration…not that lust is main focus for any romance but their health condition is greatly affected to the extent…anyways, this is just a drama so our ML is just too cool and handsome to make us forget he’s portraying a eunuch character…he looks more like an imperial guard to me! Lol)

• Unreciprocated one-sided love gone haywire - FW (Emperor before he gotten his throne)’s love interest feeling suffocated with his love
(It’s strange to know in period drama a prince of royalty can be so obsessed in his first crush until the extent of ruining her life—lifetime imprisonment in the tower! And Peter Ho did a good job in making me loathe his character…he used to be main lead being overpowering CEO, etc back in 2018 drama and suddenly now he takes up badass roles which probably with his many acting experiences really nails this character with his ugly looking chuckles and hunchback pose at the ending few episodes like some wicked man…)

• Love is everywhere
(Liked the SML & SFL being maid of FL and sidekick of ML sweet moments, and Princess WW & Prince YWLS being together…)

• Love can melt the heart of a steel cold person
(It’s a bit strange how being a merciless Head of Eunuch can be fallen in love with a concubine no matter how intelligent or sweet she is…hence I’m determined to start watching from Episode 1 back then to find out…lol…worth the time!)

• Father loves his own child no matter what, needs blood relation to have bonding
(this drama is a very rare part whereby addressing a reverse viewpoint of how real blooded family e.g. a father usually wld protect his own child dearly…which is NOT the case for this drama…it’s like a wake up call that the bonding between one another should be putting in effort and handle with care and not to be taken for granted…like how ML treats his buddies e.g. sidekick as his own brother although aren’t blooded relation)

• What goes around, comes around
(Rong’an died just as how she crafted other victims death, and karma happened for many other villain characters)

The ending is okay, I guess (am a fan of happy endings) but rather short for me (only last 5mins or less to show how freely both leads can be…away from the imperial palace grounds) wish it could be slightly longer to at least show what happens to the rest of the couples if Princess can be together or occasionally meet with her Prince, and how’s o sidekick and maid doing…) and the Emperor part just like that doesn’t seem to be good closure as he’s becoming a tyrant with/ without FL so isn’t the country going down in bleakness with the destroyed leader(?) so it’s considered an unfulfilling ending for me…but then again, I haven’t read the novel so am not too sure if the actual ending is such…

Anyhow, the sweet chemistry of main leads (no matter how unbelievable in terms of history logic but what the heck, drama is to bring us away from reality at times! lol) is interesting to note even with the censorship it didn’t spoil the overall lovey dovey feeling their characters are portraying…sharing some cut-off scenes in below spoiler for those who could be interested to check out ya ^^
