Since no one is talking about this, I will try to explain without spoilers. So, Woo Jin is a celebrity that decides…
Thanks for sharing but may I know if it’s happy ending? Bcos I just watched another short drama (just like you did, once I excluding the intro, recap flashbacks and credit role just 8mins each episodes…total 24episodes but that isn’t it…the worst part is the ending is hanging!) so now am cautious not to begin another short drama unless really nice or at least good ending…lol…
A good version but nothing compares to the original korean version W! (Note: Korean version ML really jump off the cliff without stuntman, ML & FL also keep dipping into the pool holding breathes to take many scenes in the water, etc etc)
Appreciate how this short drama production (imagine it’s 10mins but in actual fact each episode after deduct the intro, payback of previous scenes and ending credit roles…it’s just mere 8 mins per episode for content so total just 3hrs 12mins just something like a longer length movie) but of course with the time constraints isn’t enuf to produce a fully developed W drama to it’s best, let alone compare 😅
At first I wanted to drop it but after episode 6 & 7 it did make me wanna stick around to see more…kinda feels weird I think it was (if not mistaken) episode 20 bcos ML suddenly remembered FL and they memories together, that part feels rushed…and the ending this China production changed the original Korean version (happy ending although father died in the comic world) hence supposed to be more simpler to easily end the show as short drama but instead I feel weird and unable to understand why if off a sudden got a scene ML on rooftop with FL and how suddenly all is actually a dream whereby FL is a bookstore staff fell asleep while at work then ML is just a customer who looks like a doppelgänger of the comic main lead…what a strange twist and looks like both FL & ML here isn’t together at the end which really makes me sad (luckily it’s just a short drama so I didn’t spend too much time on it…imagine if full drama min 45mins per episode with such ending will kinda pist me off😂)
After watching I went back to watch an overview of W original and enjoyed myself better…the 50mins of playbacks scenes in Korean version makes my heart flutter even much more than this short drama…i flashback to view the original drama as I remembered the kissing scene when FL was detained wasn’t like this drama…indeed so much has changed even the positioning of the kiss how was made special (how can this version didn’t have FL under handcuffs as that isn’t too logic for someone under police detaining right) and moreover in Korean version can see their kisses from starting episode slowly progress into more intense lovey dovey kiss and shows their love & passion is deeper after each challenges they overcome together but for this Chinese adaption each kiss almost the same…very dry🫠 if not for their at times loving gaze, will totally miss out on their supposed gradually strengthen love for each other.
So my conclusion is…only watch this version if haven’t seen the original or somewhat forgotten the original or wanna find something to remind abt how nice it was watching the original back then! 🤣🤣
The FL & ML acting is considerably good (i like ML in his other time traveling drama Love for Two Lives) but probably this script isn’t original and too short to make audience heart skip beats like how it should be in the original one..a good try though.
Is this drama a good watch? I was looking for trailer (just to preview before watching) and just happen to chance upon a 13mins tell-it-all summary (https://youtu.be/GlhaqmonjL4)
Can anyone share if this drama is worth watching bcos I noticed the ending seems very dejavu similar to those typical Korean dramas script where FL get sick is it? Did she survive it?
First time watching a 1min per episode…my POV is it’s kinda like a trailer or preview for something bcos each scene is so short that I cannot resonate with the feelings or emotions portrayed. Script overall okay (most scripts of this genre is quite similar) but the execution of it (script development, production and editing works) is a mess, probably due to the 1min time constraints.
And also not used to vertical display of the so-called drama (surprisingly there are many different background scenes for just 1min episodes like this and it does feel like a waste to only display it vertically) perhaps this is to ease people who commutes in public transport while watching.
Not my cup of tea, really 😅would not have watched until the end if weren’t for the eye candy main leads..lol
I’ve watched it raw and as I’m not Korean language speaker, having quite a challenge to understand the details…
But on 2nd thots, the app is no doubt safer bcos can be found on play store but the content of the movie is downloaded from elsewhere (non play store) so the risk is still there really. Anyways thanks very much for sharing
Nice movie even though watching it for 2nd time after so many years…forgot the content in details and only remembered her sister was deaf and seeing YT clips decided to rewatch : )
80% of the movie is with sign languages (kudos to all 2 main leads and the second lead-sister for learning so much and acting it out so naturally!) and yet it doesn’t feel boring at all and their expression is so good that brings out a good message at the end of the movie : ) Wish there’s more of such well meaning movies which is indeed lacking lately…
For me it was a twist ! the only thing that make me doubt was when guys giving her money and she start moving…
oh this is a very good point! it’s kinda a giveaway that she’s moving at the sound of coin money (means she isn’t deaf) even if at her angle she couldn’t possibly have a glimpse of the passerby man (her vision is blocked by ML trying to sign language with her!) who toss a coin money into her bag/ container thingy.
I think she didn’t react or answer when the restaurant customers were rushing for her table probably bcos she’s just too used to not speak…I mean people does have tendency to behave a certain way once keep repeating it…like a habitually not answering in audio but use sign language as a form of respect to her sister who couldn’t speak.
P.S. Just watched this movie 2nd time and yet still as excited after watching if after so many years : )
Spoiler: A lighthearted movie…but at some point feeling a bit sad for KY bcos he has given up his first love…
yes this is the strange part am thinking why if KY likes FL but yet he still marry another…at one point I did thot/ hope that ML and FL can meet in the future and ended up together (relationship having age gap in today’s society is lesser a taboo unlike olden days) but alas they weren’t together :( maybe his feelings for her is just there and then he moved on…just like how most guys realistically will do so
hi, where did you watch it? can you link the website?
actually it’s still in my bucket list as I watched beginning few mins but decided wanna wait for the original Cantonese audio version hence haven’t got any to begin with 😅
Mind sharing? : )
