This would be way better if writters wrote decent boyfriend character for FL with who she could work on improving…
Agree with you that director should show FL working on her differences with new beau (ML) and not just jump into he’s-the-Mr Right-of-all-time-she’s-been-waiting-for!
However, for anyone in a relationship that is more than or about 5 yrs…basically by the time would probably realized if something hasn’t changed before would have pretty slim chance to change anymore after that.
Analogically, a house if already built on certain foundation and piling work if need to make changes that could affect the core foundation would cause the house to shatter or be unstable. Same goes, if a person already have certain values, character built or lifestyle practices along the years and of a sudden the other half informing them I wish for you to be like this or in future to do that and that, it wouldn’t work this way.
Hence for this part FL giving up on her bf-then-ex probably isn’t an ideal way to show/ instill in audience what perseverance in a relationship is all about but this also is a wake up call to most people that don’t think can change anyone unless we change what our expectations are or what we want, else to move on! I’ve friends who broken up with their other half despite more than 5 yrs of relationship (of which some even 10yrs+) and I can see how it’s truly heartbreaking but something they needed to do, else both will suffer with each other…really
Nice review! You should post it as a review, and add the ratings. 👏👏👏
Thankss so much for your encouragement. I’ve shared my review ya…and added more pointers which I’ve noticed from behind-the-scenes clips, hope it helps to add the rating and more people can know how this drama is a raw gem. Feel free to read as this is my first time sharing on main review posting ^U^
I have a quick ques please…. I noticed something strange abt the lead couple…. they call each other by their…
Not it’s not common practice in China nor Asian countries which values seniority (if may noticed in Korea juniors calling seniors differently and speak with honorifics and Japan as well)…which is why ML making it seems special calling out full name (isn’t disrespect but probably to get her attention…lol), as he doesn’t seem to want address FL as older sister (getting rid of the age gap feel) and this shows he has some feelings for her since the beginning (later episodes in the drama will address the part when both leads start to have feelings for each other).
Hope the above helps. Happy watching! ^^
P.S. I’ve shared some personal review about this drama in the review part, feel free to check out ya
This drama one of the few storyline that’s so complete for main leads and also second leads & third leads (e.g. father of ML and parents of FL and even parents of 2ML!) Cannot imagine how other drama can’t have such good & complete production like this! 😊
The chemistry of main leads and second leads and even third leads (bestie + coach pairing) is good…such a surprise that every of their micro expressions are well portraying their characters and good captures into the drama! Feeling connected in every episodes and myself being a non tennis player or non athlete of any category is totally glued to all the parts with competition (good directing & editing!). The romance of main leads have many depths along the episodes as FL let down her guard when with ML and having trust in their relationship, also their age gap doesn’t pose major threats (also appreciate how the script did include some challenges arc for them to overcome!) and plenty of good kisses.
A rare gem as not often seeing drama with each characters showing development along the episodes and in here there are not just taken as sidekicks to be fillers of the main leads! Most importantly, also good ending for main leads and other second, third leads! Worth the watch ^U^
True true…this show is closer to reality than PS Partner. My friend also just told me recently her bf was actually her online friend, so just sharing as meaning it’s something happening ard us. Whereas PS is not realistic as not possible to engage in PS (at least not in my country! Haha) and found such a hunk bf or model-like-beauty gf like the main leads there…which is also why watching is more fun as out of the world! Lol :p
is it hanging ending in a good way or bad way (any main leads dying? or having terminal illness waiting for time?)…
ohh…glad to know. watched a few short drama recently some really bad ending where both main leads died or either one died. Thankfully this drama isn’t the same. Thankss Jade for your sharing! ^^
is it hanging ending in a good way or bad way (any main leads dying? or having terminal illness waiting for time?) Hope can have some spoiler…thanking in advance : )
This drama isn’t something for anyone who’s looking into conventional marriage practices…all abt 3 ladies how each handles their relationships between husbands, lovers, friends with benefit and among themselves as closest besties/ girlfriends.
JDrama seems pretty used to such production that discusses on adultery or infidelity. Sometimes it can be an eye opener of how complex it can go, but at times it’s also mirroring everyday lives of someone we could’ve known happening to them. I’m not too surprised to the storyline as partial of what’s been told is something happening to acquaintances/ people I know but of course these stories unfold here in a more saucy manner that keep us audience could be disagreeing to it yet wanting to know what’s next. Some plots are quite predictable, but kudos to each actors and actresses for having pull through with their skillful acting performances.
Each marriage has their own problems…this is what I can gather from the drama’s message…but to gain or keep one’s happiness sometimes is not just about endurance or forebear it to the extent of numbing oneself with other actions to keep on the perseverance…gone today are the past generations’ beauty of staying on in an unhappy marriage for the sake of responsibilities which is good and bad depending…although today’s marriage should have more freedom in life but may also cause easily swayed away by lustful emotions (isn’t shameful as it’s human nature but need to act on wisely with precaution) which these are the topics of this drama. Never having any purely right or wrong in any relationship as only those who are in it will know whether it’s worthwhile or truly happy to want it last for a lifetime. Appreciate how the director venturing into such thought provoking genres…as whether it’s immoral act or justifiable only a matter of who’s perspective we’re looking at it.
This short drama is surprisingly can watch…all thanks to the eye candy main leads (I think ML sometimes gives me the ZTao vibes…lol) and similar to Ten Miles of PB script feel…The period drama costumes is also quite detailed, fairly convincing for the characters.
Also didn’t expect to have so many kissing scenes (some passionate ones as it implies their love and passion gone stronger by each day) and both leads does create the cheesiness in a good comedic way.
I won’t say it’s 100% worth watching but it’s good to get such rom-com at times!
Surprisingly the chemistry of main leads are not bad at all…there are some ‘feel’ in some scenes. FL does appear to be cold and unforgiving character at first but her eye gaze at ML can switch to be loving and seductive at times…does convince me with their acting : )
This is one of the few short dramas that even if just short (averagely 1 min+ per episode, with exception to the ending episode is slightly longer) and yet managed to hold attention and slot in some good storyline to it…and the production/ editing team did good job not to make it feel choppy or too rush for a 1min presentation each episode (believe me, there are some other short dramas which are very very rush until duno what have been watched or feels like a trailer version!) ofc need to allow for least development of characters due to time constraints yet is good to watch when wanna catch short period drama (that does not need to spend 1,800 hours or more for a 40 episode long drama) with some romance, somewhat action scenes and yet most importantly is good ending!
It’s a short advertisement that something similar to True Beauty (TB) drama but what I didn’t really like is it isn’t entirely like TB that brings out the message it’s okay to be not artificially beautiful as the ML here is totally swept of his feet with FL after makeup-ed.
After all this is advertisement clips selling makeup products, hence ofc it won’t discourage people to make up yea. Just watched when limited time but wanna be entertained with something short…lol

and to top it, PS main leads are more of an eye candy + good acting

Thanks for ending sharing…I think I will prep tissue before watching till the end.
