I'm guessing a lot of people watching this have never watched The Villainess. Non stop action with a high body…
Just wondering is The Villainess (TV) also with shaking or moving scene angles like this movie? Bcos TV is also in my bucket list to watch...kindly share more of your thoughts ya...and is the ending good? : )
I was fascinated with the trailer and decided to watch with my family (we’re a group of adults way passed our legal age, and pls be mindful this movie NOT recommended at all to watch with kids and/ or elderly!) ...but after first few parts of the movie, especially until the scene where ML nakedly fights a big crowd of naked or semi-naked men in a somewhat private club...tht was a big put off to us.
Indeed appreciate the effort ML keep fighting his way out (had read his interview it was really not easy and a lot of effort to do just that scene for hours!) but what we didn’t like is the editing works which seems very choppy or shaking camera with screen angles moving relentlessly and not easy for our eyes to follow the movements (actually within our group we do have hobby gamers—playing on daily basis—such as PUBG, Red Alert, etc) but also did not fancy such editing style which is similar to gaming shots...for gaming is ok but for movies it doesn’t exactly compliment the hard work of artists (actors, actress, stunt men and action choreographers) who put so much effort for those fighting screens...felt wasted to present the material in this manner. To us, this type of editing style is totally okay for few moments maybe just to keep audience intrigued or glue to the specific moment but not when non stop killing with blood splashing out all over keep moving like gaming until wiping out all 100men! Maybe we are old school in movie preference and this is just our little opinion as it does not represent the crowd of audience and just wanna forewarn others who may need to prepare your mind before watching it.
The expectation we set after watching the trailer and reading the movie’s quick description was soo...high (we really thot WOW so much action a.k.a. Bourne Identity series and Mission Impossible series which we totally love tht...finally for Korean movies!) Alas, the more we expect, the more we were sadden by the actual movie result...we didn’t get to finished the entire movie and only until scene of ML nakedly fighting almost 100men (this headcount is what ML said during interview) when we all unanimously agree to just give this movie a pass.
And what’s with the foreigner actors or actress whereby their acting is least convincing...knowing special unit forces, FBI whatever should be stern, firm but not stone-faced expression right...and what’s with their indecisiveness to take the right move at the first scene inside ML room...so weird, just knowing their existence there is for ML to kick their *ss!
But one thing, ML really did a lot of effort as his portraying of the character here is totally different frm the rest of his other works...I’ve watched his drama before but I couldn’t even recognize him here...well done for tht!

me too couldn’t find any subs but instead found YT quick-tell-it-all narrator video clip that basically summarized the entire drama with excerpts of the drama and some part are the real voices of the leads. It’s a bittersweet movie...but the production is good, acting is good, soundtrack is good (I fell in love with this song and it’s now still in one of my favourite playlist!)...I think the editing is perfect, everytime the OST plays combine with the script and acting it’s like a tear bomb toss at me...make sure to prepare a full pack of tissue to watch this. Back then I went to the theater to watch it not knowing how tear jerker it is, ended up my eye makeup nearly ruined! (it’s waterproof but seem to be not tear-proof...lol) Took me a while to leave my seat...hoping everyone left their seats while I regain my composure :P
But sometimes it really needs such script to urge everyone to cherish and appreciate everyone beside them...good to watch (now you guys can just catch the movie online at home since no longer in theater).. : )

Yes, a beautiful love story but do make sure to bring along your WHOLE pack of tissue when watching! It’s been quite some time since I nearly ran out of tissue watching a movie tht made me cry so much (although I’ve got soft spot i.e. will shed a tear or two usually but this time I’ve counted used up all my 9 pieces of tissue!!! Tht’s how touching it is for me! Almost towards ending it’s totally tear jerker for me...)
This is my 2nd time (the 1st time is MTB) watching Jasper as main role in movie (excluding his drama BWGM which is lovingly sweet) but both movies also tragic love...it’s nice to see his good acting but too touching and am thinking why the movie scripts he’s getting all so sad :(
FL is also good acting (my 1st time watching her as main role although seen few times of her on other show programs) and like how she portray this character and the chemistry they have is very good...usually I will fast-forward for recap clips in movies & dramas but for this movie it’s so sweet and touching that I couldn’t miss a bit!
Wish to watch more of Jasper in a happier genre or maybe romcom. If anyone may know, kindly share the name ya. Cheers^^

Never regret watching this drama...it started off being a simple time traveling but later getting more complicated as ML tries to change the end result of his love (FL), grandpa and everyone else besides him. I pretty much enjoyed the journey of watching how this story unfolds (I didn’t read the novel I didn’t know the actual storyline but this drama is good enuf to tell me a good story!).
ML & FL acting is good...the ending few episodes made me cried (i can get emo when feeling the character only if it’s written, portrayed & edited well which they did!) and kinda unexpected for me on how it ended this way...but having watched many time traveling genre this is a meaningful ending knowing FL & ML hearts & soul are together...missing either one party will create a void within them that regardless even worst than facing death itself.
Supporting characters are good...like ML grandpa (had seen him in many dramas before, veteran good acting!) and FL parents very good although minimal screen time. The friendship they have in high school also well portrayed and brings back good memories to ponder on even in our real life.
I didn’t binge watch it all (due to something urgent ongoing but usually I will try to binge all drama I watch to avoid the momentum drop in between) but surprises me it’s still as interesting for this drama when i spread out to watch within 1.3 weeks.
I think the production team is also very sincere in delivering the story as many scenes seem to have prepared special event hall, deco with many extra actors & actresses (e.g. ML’s presentation on stage, ML’s company opening, dinner event, FL’s signing contest, etc) just for a few minutes to depict the storyline...which sometimes other dramas just put a few extra ppl to act it out for cost-saving which this drama did not settle for the less. Appreciated tht!
The song wasn’t meaningful for me at first but at the end those lyrics just hit the right spot of the drama plotlines to bring out the emotions heightening at the end.

After watching this drama, gained more insights on how weather forecast in government dept works and appreciate how all the cast done well in bringing out the professional terminology and jargons of the weather forecasting world as though it’s their true professional doing daily...I saw the behind the scenes and they really worked hard trying to memorize but acting out those scripts as though their own words of thoughts! And now I know why my country’s weather forecast isn’t as accurate as other countries!!! so much effort is needed to arrive to a summary of what’s the weather of the day..eye opener, really...
but one thing I do feel disappointed is the editing works is sometimes all over the place...I know probably the directing or flow of the drama wants us audience to get curious abt what’s next or how wld the plot develop but too much flashbacks to convey the message of an earlier plot not fully shown to audience is a bit weird. Especially the part where FL did kiss ML under the lamp post (after she ran out of the restaurant, at the back lane where ML asking her who is he to her) FL walking back to ML and planting a deep kiss to him (signify they are ‘an item’ thereon) was only later shown at the scenes where she’s sitting on sofa reminiscing of the moment...it’s a bit weird right? Then the many flashbacks of her actually is ALREADY with ML after that day onwards...I think director & team maybe wants suspense for us but it didn’t work for me...I find it weird, not straightforward to build the romance flow.
I understand how love can be strong and yet fragile depending on what’s it build on but the plot turning point of ML suddenly one min saying how much he’s sadden with 2FL having left him then the next thing we see he slept with FL after getting drunk together and getting suddenly he’s overjoyed with it does seem weird for me too. How can the change be so fast?? He did says to himself in the bathroom ‘oh it’s insane’ but when he’s back to office he’s all pinning for FL to be with him?? I think it’s about the directing of this drama direction...need to at least give us audience a breathing space to know he’s someone loyal to his love or past love, right?
Overall, this drama is good to watch if wanna have somewhat insights or a feel of different stages of love/ romance/ relationship: 1. Before marriage, courtship time (FL & ML) 2. During marriage (2ML & 2FL) 3. After many years of marriage (in the verge of divorce—3ML who’s FL colleague away for outstation work & living away from his family for abt 14yrs) 4. After divorce, new relationship (3FL, that’s her sis with her new found beau) 5. End of marriage (ML dad having lost his wife and went astray in life direction causing headache to son, ML) 6. End of marriage (FL’s widower mother missing her father and how she needs to be strong in bringing up both daughters—FL & sis—in her own way)

Din know you haven’t noticed this scene...there’s one special scene after every episode, sorta like to elaborate more which photo was burnt during the episode for time traveling purposes and when was the photo taken...tht very moment what’s it abt and all. This drama is a gem! Time traveling genre is one of my favourite and having watched so many, this is one of an unexpected drama that makes me keep looking into the episode time tracker in hope that there’s still more screen time for me to watch on...keep hoping this drama will not end yet! (the last time I did tht was for the awesome Reset drama!) 20mins one episode seems too short but well utilized to bring out the drama message.
Background setting is high school so the romance isn’t something mushy or can’t expect any passionate kiss but there’s lip to lip only...yet it’s somehow good enuf to tell the romance is in the air and the love they have for each other (besides both main leads can consider newbies, normally for them the first few drama being the leads won’t be into too much passionately kiss scenes, as yet! lol)
Some logics gotta keep it away bcoz there’s plot holes but it didn’t matter much for me since the overall main plot is able to jive together to piece up the jigsaws of this drama.
Only thing I’m confused and still thinking if anyone has any idea who's the blue checkered shirt guy/ man with black dresser shoes who came to the photo studio to hand over the camera and films to the shop owner and the drama caption wrote something like, Other person who has the camera and film can time travel too....I keep thinking but not any clue...lol...pls share if anyone probably may know or have guessed it?
