Just finished binge watching this. Kudos to the efforts of director, production team, actors & actress for well portraying this drama. The topics being tackled in this drama isn’t something easy to portray, as used to be taboo for society last time (and even now some in countries it still remains as a no-no). Relationship somehow goes awry or loveless but wasn’t openly discussed or ended due to worrying on society views. I like how the script goes, FL decided to decline the proposal of her ex...and FL not jumping into relationship with ML after clearing her breakup with ex, this in a way kinda educate how today’s woman shd be...standing up for herself, not suffering in silence and learn to love oneself better before able to love others. Further in opposing to the general mindset that people who engage in one-night-stands isn’t anyone of good character but this script’s 2nd FL is someone who’s loyal to her friend (FL) so it shows how we can’t be shallow such as judging others based on their love/ relationship preference.
However, TBH at some point this drama makes me heavy hearted to watch whn relationships turned sour and lovers turned into enemies, while strangers & enemies being upgraded to somewhat lovers. But I get some moral of this drama story...oh why is Taiwanese dramas/ movies always so full of educational content...lol
I can’t say all 2nd ML & 2nd FL characters are fully developed but their background stories are well told to the extent to make us support the ML & FL till the end. And the second couple becomes more watchable as the story unfolds—like how her 2nd FL (the BFF) is so supportive to FL (only the part being slapped on behalf is a bit exaggerated to me but that’s how the story goes on to build/ show their strong support to each other as besties.)
The 2nd FL turning into a controlling freak somehow reminds me of a friend who really did encounter similar breakup (after 9yrs+) when her lived-in-together-BF fall out of love with her. What I mean is...such sh*t situation really does happen in real life. And indeed my friend was almost ‘mothering’ him, just like how this 2nd FL is! Maybe it’s loving and well-meaning actions but when overtly done can really backfire and kill off the passion.
And the FL having differing opinions & viewpoints of life plans with ML, many mishandling of quarrels, lacking proper communication, ended up falling in love to another person is also something that we see more frequent in today’s society due to the busyness of city life. This story line easily capture our emotions as there’s surely someone beside us who make have similar relationship woes. Thus, making it interesting to carry on watching wanting to know how the story enfolds or how should it end. And I’m satisfied with the ending bcos any further would be too expected and may bore us. It ended just nice, right there for us to know what should be going on next.

probably you can try watching Secret Love Affair...the spouse didn’t do FL wrong but if I remember it correctly, they were living a loveless marriage. So fate intervened as FL chanced upon talented ML. Noona romance. At first this drama not as tense, it gets build up along the plotlines once the characters are portrayed out.
I tried watching but not a fan of it (didn’t managed to get to the end of the movie, only watched 1/3 while my friends trying to continue on—I was the one who initiate this movie, actually...lol).
I used to enjoy watching Raymond Lam’s TVB dramas back in those days (and even just recently his China dramas—mainland production house) and HK movies but somehow for this plotline it didn’t really capture my attention as by now there are many adaptions/ versions of this well known best seller of Jin Yong’s novel. Can’t help it but wondering why another version instead of making a fresh plotline with reference to it.
Methinks Raymond’s age is not an issue as his acting is still as good...I think the only thing is when first few minutes of the movie, it does trigger us to think ‘woah...he really did aged’ bcos anyone who has watched his period drama during his younger years wld surely remember his portrayal of the character’s youthfulness, bravery etc...probably bcos he did a really good job in bringing out those characters so is well remembered till today. So now he’s again portraying period drama characters (it seems like a long while since he last acted in such genre), makes us flashback his previous characters that standout way more than this movie’s.
Overall other supporting male characters are ok but the female characters seems a bit lacking tho...sad to say, i couldn’t feel along with the characters’ feelings etc.. maybe it’s just me. I think can try watch only if you’re a die hard fan of Raymond Lam & Janice Man.
Oh man. I struggled with this show. I finished it because it was funny and had it’s sweet moments, BUT there…
It’s sad to know this drama gave you the negative vibes about xian xia genres….actually it’s just a light-hearted low budgeted drama production here so probably some characters aren’t fully developed with minor plot lines here and there.
If you’re someone who wants to watch a full fledged xian xia drama can try Eternal Love (another name: Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms). It’s a long drama with larger production (deeper pockets) to build a nice background with immersive touch of CGI and episodes long enough to expand all characters for a few lifetimes in order to give a fuller view of the plot lines. Also, it has a team of experienced actors & actresses with awesome acting skills, bringing the characters alive, connecting with us emotionally (ofc only if you allow it too). Try watching it and see if it meets your appetite ya. I enjoyed watching it (yea laugh and cry with it) and hope it does brings you happy moments too! Happy watching! : )
This is worth watching …romance-cum-xian xia (fairy/ fantasy land) with a tinge of time travelling concept within. Can be mushy and cringey romance at times but at the same time some good comedic parts that keeps me tickled along the way. The fighting scenes are not masterpiece (since it’s not big budget production) but keeps the plot line well developed to tell a good story. No wonder I can binge watch it in a few days…haha…^^
After a busy day, it’s an enjoyable, yet not too heavy as the villains are quite direct and predictable (I got tired of recently having watched heavy plot-lines dynasty & wartime related dramas) with a little twist at the end to do with the characters background…
After watching I even developed the ‘hopeful syndrome for a sequel’…lol…but based on the ending even if got sequel can be a fun watch too! I’ve also watched all YT’s behind the scenes and can’t help but noticed the hard work everyone has put into the production of this drama.
By the way, anyone got any good recommendations for similar drama ya, can share pls :)

Oh maybe I missed it...I saw the part ML being weaker but didn’t know there’s any correlation to killing the mother. Just thot bcos the time loop can no longer allow them both to wake up earlier than previous loops so probably ML got health side effects from it. But strangely FL is ok. Ya got a bit confused there. Thanks for sharing! : )
Right I binged watched 11 episodes in one night when I started the show. I was so hooked and couldn't stop watching.…
i've also binge watching to episode 13 and got stuck with the emotional rollercoaster of the drama plot...finally watched the last 2 episodes last night and still in a daze...wish it could be longer but might be too lengthy if prolonged. Any recommendations for other time loop dramas ya? ^^
haha...in some countries, people can marry at the age of 18 or even less! Not exactly a kiddo but really feels FL is a pro to have such good acting skills at this young age :)

Sorry dear...i watched the raw version on v.gimy.tv Actually I started off not knowing any mandarin at all but I picked up by watching lotsa drama, movies, reality show etc...getting helped from google translate (yea I do screenshot and use translation on it) and finally all self learning & hard work pays off!
