I didn’t realize too…maybe it’s more challenging and sexy (I do think the recent period dramas of ancient costumes looks more appealing…even im thinking if can wanna rent those costumes when I travel to China/ Korea/ Japan for photoshoot) for women to travel to ancient world as it’s bare minimum back then…whereas for men it could be funny and challenging when need to cope with new gadgets in the modern world…haha…seeing a man trying to cope to new found technology is much more funnier than seeing women trying on gadgets and coping with new world isn’t it🤭Anyways, just my pov…lol

It’s a dark movie…the entire movie slowly builds up on main lead being helpless regardless in her family where her parents made decision without consulting her wants and needs, in school where her bestie absentmindedly believe & told another of the bad-nosy-classmate of her deepest secret (that’s why they say don’t tell a word to the living person if it is really a big secret bcos it will just be a time ticking bomb opening vulnerability to others attacking!), the specialist/ surgeon who has influenced the parents decision just for his career sake (yes that’s why nowadays we need second surgical opinion for almost every health condition to make sure there isn’t any bias reading or withholding medical info provided to us!)…The world is the scariest place if we aren’t there to protect ourselves and be skeptical in all information gathered or release out to others need to be thoroughly thought of, to minimize any possible or foreseeable risk coming back to us!

After 10yrs suddenly chanced upon a short clip on this movie and decided to come back to watch this. Still as touching despite 10yrs ago movie…very real, just like how life was…many things are unexpected and some of us just cannot keep the love of our lives being with us despite how much we want, tried and fight to…😂😂😂

Especially touching when she replied him…’青春是拿来怀念的’🥹 Sometimes when we grown up, the feeling might not be the same again…sadly but this is true even for childhood lovers or university sweethearts, once we are bogged down with life worries, the purest of love could be lost along the test of time…perhaps only those who haven’t lived long enough their lifetime to know whether their love can really withstand all life blockers and fiery darts of the evil.

This is okay to watch…but as a fan of time traveling genre, this script is way more simpler for understanding without any butterfly effects—more than one person can time travel, and changing the events of past timeline doesn’t reflect any aftermath…although it will somehow alter the next timeline but nothing bad happens as isn’t full portrayed in the short drama…maybe bcos it’s short, no time to put too much details—and villains does not get the ‘an eye for an eye’ revenge yet everyone ends up amicably, no more deaths.

Chemistry wise between main leads are not bad as they have the exchanging of glances, etc…enjoy how FL acting is, and thankfully got one kiss to sorta seal/ profess their love…didn’t think production house will spend to do the wedding scene but glad they did for the old-school-happily-ever-after feel.

Good to watch if wanna take our minds into the ‘What IF’ pondering thoughts of things that had happened, didn’t happen, or could happen…although in reality it isn’t feasible to change our lives timeline but in this drama it allows our imagination to flow along with it : )

Good kisses…from start I didn’t quite fancy ML but along the episodes his character is becoming more charmingly scripted and it does swept my feet away…like how ML & FL chemistry and overloaded kisses that is seldom seen in short dramas…at first will feel it’s cringy to suddenly slot a kiss for a scene that’s truly unnecessary, but along the lines getting used to their kisses to the extent of expecting it…Lol…

Good to watch to take our minds away from the logical yet sometimes mundane life…get good laughs and enjoy their romance together. Ending a bit unexpected but just as my msg to another MDL member, it’s highly likely done to fulfill China’s censorship board…else cannot release ya. Regardless, still worth watching for me ^^

I think the ending is…it’s all acting as she’s the main actress of it (and not the side kick kiss guru). IMHO there’s some sort of censorship in China whereby they tried to stop production house coming up with scripts to do with time traveling or parallel world etc to avoid youngsters being delusional about ending their real lives to enter another world! (Yes it was a big taboo some time back) so highly likely due to this, the ending has to be showing time traveling or whatever traveling from existing body to another universe/ manga world etc is non existent…to ensure everyone knows it’s pure entertainment and snap back into reality world logical sense…😅

yes from what I know, usually for some musics and songs didn’t have international copyright will use some sort of apps to block it out, else YouTube detection will just automatically remove these videos as not allowed for public viewing 😅 same goes, I also just settle for these semi blocked out videos…although it’s annoying but at least get to watch it

Just noticed the comments here…TBH I agree with you that generally most teenagers (anyone below 18 yrs) could highly likely be not experienced enough to be their own self guide/ mentor as to finalize what’s type/ kind of the relationship most suitable for themselves…but then again after living many decades after 18yrs old, we might realize one fact that our needs, pattern of lifestyle does change along the years and there isn’t any fixed theory that any relationship entered during our matured age is proven to be fruitful due to we have many years of life experiences.

Having said that, I do have friends who were childhood sweethearts (together since 16yrs old with somewhat few years of age gaps) and still together (of course we as outsiders cannot tell for sure they are happily together but at very least in today’s society general understanding when ‘still together’ probably means still able to be bearable with each other to stay in the relationship!)…so what I’m trying to share is, sometimes compatibility isn’t reflected by age factor itself. Given today’s access to worldwide info online, most teenagers may be knowing much more than people many years older than them. With knowledge comes paradigm shift and new mindset is formed, and to keep up with the world…there is no longer distinct barriers of age, race, religions, etc (of course I do not speak for the entire worldwide nation as those less fortunate countries still have somewhat minority oppression among their communities) especially not for the younger generations…

People I know, there are couples with age gaps of 8yrs, 10yrs and more…imagine, can you accept it if (let’s say) you’re 22 yrs in college/ uni while your partner/ lover/ husb/ wife/ bf/ gf just 14yrs old at tht time…sounds weird right…but imagine when you’re 40yrs while your partner is 32yrs old, can accept? Which one is more unacceptable by yourself? This is just a brief example what’s happening in today’s society…whether we accept it or not, the choice is on both persons that’s in love or in the relationship with each other…and who are we to judge or say anything when they are the ones that’s to live their lives together : ) No offence ya…just sharing my two cents worth of thoughts

So meaning the drama (3/4) is mainly a story well told by storyteller, correct? And the 4th life (ending part) is the actual reality whereby FL & ML are together as tutor & student…oh well, guess what’s most important is they are both in love in the reality of the last scene 😊

Else he can’t be a storyteller in the 4th life…but why 4th life, how did they died in 3rd life when ML & FL already had good control of their lives (cleared away traitors, betrayals and all…even Pei Xun’s royal brother appeared to be no longer the culprit to destroy him but stand by him as his brother)…who killed them ya? Am kinda stuck with the ending part’s logic😅 Mind sharing your thoughts?
