Surprisingly a nice watch…the costumes (doesn’t look like any cheap budget as it’s all nice attires with somewhat embroidery seen on most of it, beautiful hairpins), production props (there’s real horses used for most scenes!), setting background (this is much more lavish than some low budget drama I’ve seen! E.g. looking at the amount of passerbys on the market street was somewhat realistic to see) is very convincing to bring us into the script…and above all, their actings are good (except the villain, to me he does not really look as badass culprit that would betray the world…his alibi is ok, just his expression wasn’t too badass enough to show it..however, do appreciate the story twist) even if not yet the most excellent…(Richard Li’s work is getting even better now) and good kisses (not the peck-on-face-kind-of-kisses, it’s something that creates the chemistry feel for audience) and many sweet moments despite short drama.
Hope to see more of such short dramas that’s direct (no fussy scripts nor too complicated characters, or unnerving relationships) with fighting scenes (decent ones like this will do) + romance (chemistry that makes us skip a heartbeat) like this : )
I absolutely loved it! This is now my favourite Richard’s drama. If you are a hopeless romantic you will definitely…
Am a bit confused in the ending part…why ML having a new name but seeing he’s still with FL, I’m assuming he given up his throne to this 2nd brother (bcos the servant called out to his brother ‘Sheng Shang’, if not mistaken that’s the term used for Emperor) and lived a much simpler life with FL. But why is ML’s close bodyguard bcome a storyteller…is he also assuming a new career in life…lol
Anyways, thanks for sharing abt this drama…it’s worth watching that I binge it within 1/2 day and good ending with lingering happy mood : )
hmm…I thot it’s 10mins every episode so it says here 30 episodes meaning 5 hrs in total, correct? If only…
Wow…you’ve got such a wonderful list of Must Watch short dramas!! Some are in my bucket list and yet I totally forgot about it…hey thankss for sharing ^^
The reason why Vincent Wei is written as the ML is because he has more screen time in comparison with Dai Gao…
Ohh…I came looking for more drama of DGZ and thanks for sharing that he isn’t ML here…probably will put this drama in secondary bucket list to watch when free…lol

Oh I watched Forever Love first…which is how I come looking for more of main leads drama or movie, and chanced upon Maid’s Revenge..
If there’s any other nice happy short drama like Forever Love, pls share with me ya…lol…need to cure the aftermath of this sad drama..and if you too like short drama like me, I enjoyed watching Provoke as well..even the OST was nice : )
On a bright sunny Sunday I suddenly chanced upon a short clip (there’s an influencer narrator of the movie with…
Be pls forewarned…pls don’t watch this if aren’t prepared to cry a river..there isn’t any explicit screens in the movie but the whole script, excellent actings portraying the characters are really unnerving and leaving a lasting memory in mind…my partner just told me a while ago (after I’ve shared my review of this movie) that I shouldn’t watch this genre of society issues movie as it’s never-ending and brings negativity…for this thought, I don’t agree bcos IMHO living in ignorance doesn’t means it’s bliss. I’ve grown up in a family who have been very protective of me, I can’t say that’s the best way to live but at least during my childhood I’ve been warned endless times not to travel alone in lonely paths, etc etc…We need to becareful at all times but of course the initial thing is we need to know what we need to becareful of in the first place!
On a bright sunny Sunday I suddenly chanced upon a short clip (there’s an influencer narrator of the movie with excerpts of actual scenes of the movie and some parts with their actual movie’s lead voices) of just 38mins but im tearing up for almost 80% of the time. I don’t think I can bear watching this if it’s a full 2hrs movie bcos the acting is so real, how the entire story was told just pierced through my heart crying for juctice. I cannot stand it when villains aren’t being fully punished for their wrongdoings…especially when abused a child and yet the law fails to protect its citizens…what’s does it mean under alcoholism hence the criminal couldn’t get maximum sentence of his offense to the poor child (most her lower organs permanently malfunctioned due to the abusive actions caused to her)!!!??? I don’t have law background, and I am not a South Korea’s citizen (bcos of this movie this real life story comes to light to everyone around the world), but it’s just the strangest thing why can villains hide behind the nonsensical excuse of under alcohol influences and escape despite leaving a lifelong physical and emotional scar to a young 8 years old child! And for the record, I checked online and found out this rapist-abuser-villain got released in 2020!
Really appreciate the excellent acting skills of young FL, mother & father character and the volunteering psychologist…all of their effort put together a good movie to tell the story to the world…regardless for better parental awareness, in hope of society’s kinder understanding…it’s better to let it made known than to leave vulnerable voices unheard!
I’ve just searched up on the real life story info…thankfully the real little girl grown up and still surviving in this world…Hope world around her will treat her with kindness 🙏🏼

Oh I’ve just binge watched it! Indeed, it’s very angsty and sad ending…can’t understand why at the almost closed to ending part, both leads illogically French kissing away instead moving to seek medical help since ML is very much injured…giving chance for the deathly shot! Aikes!
Although am glad FL ending finally become a stronger person and can lead the army (successor for ML’s family business) but it’s pretty sad on the romance part…no wonder ppl say don’t be jealous of women who’s strong in the society bcos they would’ve experienced something far greater that made them grown stronger!
Didn’t regret watching this, really…but oh no…now hafta go thru the aftermath of sad ending lingering feeling…wish there’s other short drama he acted in that’s happy ending.
Dylan Wang is glorious in this. It is definitely YuShuxin’s real voice. I think you just have to get use to…
actually I’m pretty ok with FL’s voice in variety shows etc as it’s fun when she reacts to things in variety games etc…just in the drama it’s pitchy high so I cannot listen thru the drama with my earphones…lol…thankss for the drama info…sounds interesting that it’s my favourite genre to watch! : )
I’m giving this 10 ⭐️ I was at the edge of my seat the whole time BUT I’m never ever watching this again…
hmm…I thot it’s 10mins every episode so it says here 30 episodes meaning 5 hrs in total, correct? If only 40 mins of 5 hrs is having sad stuffs could be bearable as long as happy ending…or is it not?
Chanced upon this drama compiled scenes on Youtube (someone cropped all the romance part out as a video) and I got hooked on after seeing first 2 mins of the 38mins video!
This is a rare combination…it gives the vibes of K2 during bodyguard fighting scenes, with some conspiracy (although direct—yea most audience would’ve guessed who’s the big villain all along), besties betrayal (it’s also obvious) and complicated family backgrounds of main leads (at first it’s as though ML & FL family ties were complicated to the extend ML is going in for revenge!) and steamy romance scenes (for China production house…it is indeed steamy…imagine just 30 episodes of 12 mins = 6 hours of screen time but yet got so many kissing scenes and even one bed scene…wow it seems true that their government is changing the society direction to advice more younger generation get into romance, married and multiply the nation…lol).
Of course with this short drama (yes it’s short for me…lol…at some point noticed only 5 characters run the entire show!) there’s bound to be some unnecessary plotline and weird scripts (still can’t understand why ML wants to call for side bet with 2ML at the ending screen, saying if ML loses the fight will give 2ML all his fortune…that’s so weird even if he wants to make it firm he can win the fight) but no a big issue for me as their romance is something to look forward throughout the drama..hehe
Although short but isn’t exactly low budget production…at least can see FL gets a good wardrobe of clothings to wear—almost every scene can spot her in new clothings—probably to convince us she’s the daugther of a rich family…and ML also looks stylish in his coats, leather-like jackets, etc clothing that works well for his character of someone less ordinary (yea supposed he’s from well off family before bankruptcy). Whereas only 2ML & 2FL repeats most of their wears…lol
At some point, ML has some vibes of Lee Jong Suk when he stares at FL lovingly, while FL looks a bit like younger version of Zhao Li Ying…wonder if anyone feels the same as I did 😂🤔 This isn’t my first time seeing ML acting but after watching this drama only noticed he had acted in WRTW as 2ML. Guess this is a good breakthrough for him and will surely checkout the rest of his drama efforts.
I personally preferred their chemistry in maids revenge. I couldn't really get into this one, 2x speed was used…
I think maybe you’ve watched the YouTube version…which is also the first one I’ve chanced upon (seen it for first 2mins before deciding to search for full video run for every episode). So far I noticed only some fighting scenes is 1.5x speed while the rest of the scenes seems normal
