I managed to find a YT clip that tells the real life story in summary version but unable unfortunately isn’t in English. One of earlier clip i’ve watched was the lady (victim herself) telling what happened, however I couldn’t locate that anymore.
You will notice inside this clip there’s some photos that’s just for illustrations purposes while those of real person photo mostly have masking on the ex-husband’s face.
Most entertainment agencies have this clause…but it’s not made known to the public. Otherwise, how else will…
Probably given the script of Ma Lee’s character is someone who’s understanding, high moral values and benevolent businessman, he wouldn’t activate this kind of contract terms for celebrity (he only got ML in this drama) under his care.
However unlike Ma Lee, the other companies did have this clause of (can’t remember the exact words but content is such) celebrity’s lifestyle must’ve not cause negative effect to his image which any resulting of sales decrease will need to compensate the company for their business loss…something abt that. In order words, using contract law to enforce it won’t be perceive as force because celebrity should know what contract they are signing on. (Any violation of contact need to pay a bomb!)
Hence, likewise…some celebrities even if they have divorced are forced to be together for public show for longer period..mainly bcos they entered into variety show, drama etc as a couple and if they split up , all their endorsement will be affected.
Oh my…this is absolutely a nice drama with sweetness overload and coupled with lotsa good natured values of friendship and family ties! 😊 I regret watching this only now (it was first released in 2021) as I saw some bad reviews abt it…finally I decided to explore it for myself! And voila!
Main leads are lovable as their love story is sweet and innocent (since childhood!) and definitely anyone kind hearted would like to vouch for their love to blossom! Like how the directing or editing of the drama have some flashbacks at the beginning of almost each episodes which makes it even more interesting to kickstart the wants to follow on! I’ve binged this within 1.5 days straight! Making me cry and laugh along with their comedic scenes…
There isn’t big villains or many villains in this drama…only one as the other 2FL (little fan girl) turned into a good character at the ending. I prefer it this way, as it shows the progression of character. Some might think why FL is getting childish when in love but I think it’s true for some women will want to be themselves (childishness won’t hide) when being around with someone they love, and won’t need to pretend being a warrior (strong character is only to defend and/ or battle others at work, etc outside) while at home!
Enjoyed most scenes of leads parents close friendship with neighbors-cum-almost-lifetime-friends where it’s obvious they are veteran actors and actresses…the minute they get any screen time they totally nailed their characters well. And some scenes does make me cry when ML mother was asking her bestie (FL mother) why hiding away from her…It’s so sincere when she said (something of this content, actual words I cannot remember) to her at one scene whereby she doesn’t lack of friends that can be win over by her wealth but she’s lacking of true friends where money cannot buy!
Many cute moments between main leads and for the record, this is ML very first onscreen kiss hence he is shy (I’ve checked out the behind the scenes and interviews and noticed it does shows on his face his shyness when they replay the kissing scenes with him and FL together seating to watch…so cute!) which tells how successful their portraying of both characters (FL is ML ‘s first love in the script). Kisses aren’t those deep French kissing but understandable since ML is 24yrs old in character and real life. Yet their chemistry is great!
Even supporting roles are well acted…especially enjoyed watching ML ‘s boss, he’s funny and his facial expressions shows his character well and many layers of it. How in one scene he tells the story of main leads in the ending episode was wow! His expressive narration totally shows he’s veteran as it isn’t easy for such long story told yet only by his words and expressions! And off the record, his goatie mustache look really crafted out like an IT-person-cum-entertainment-wannabe. (Fyi his looks is exactly like one of my IT friend who’s also a boss!)
But be forewarned, there’s aftermath to deal with…im now trying to find another drama as good as this! Any recommendations, can share with me ya? Thanks ^^

Just finished watching this…and trying to review what I’ve just watched…probably im a sucker for romance storyline and I wasn’t expecting any romance for this movie since it’s tagged ‘Skilled Killer, Assassin Female Lead, Mother-Daughter Relationship’ and all…but hey why suddenly the twist at the ending part..(pls don’t read on if you don’t want any spoilers ya…)
I don’t quite get it how ML can have such long time liking of FL and yet it didn’t come out with something of good for them…I mean both are same industry (after he let her lived on, since she’s a minor) and she grown up being a successful assassin (top in his killer leaderboard list!) but why can’t they hold hands together to flourish in whatever they are doing…why do they need to be on opposite sides (it’s not like she loved her dad so much bcos she actually assisted ML to murder her own dad for survival—it somehow shows how much she’s probably undergoing, hatred whatever that she can easily just do it) If he had confessed to her sooner, then the incest-wannabe-sister wouldn’t have been pinning for him (not too sure if she’s really the sister since her provocative actions shows she’s more wanting to be his love interest than anything else) and trying to kill off FL.
Am confused with the teenager daughter as to who’s her dad…at first I thot maybe is the younger guy colleague FL is having ongoing relationships with, before realizing they were FWB. Then thinking maybe it’s the ML (let’s just continue to call him ML since there isn’t anyone left after the younger colleague was killed off) Chairman since he’s been quite lenient with FL and even bothered to listen to her daughter’s daily stories but at last I surely haven’t got any clue. Anyone who may caught some hints from the movie, can pls share your thoughts ya.
All in, this movie is only watchable when anyone noted in the assassin industry fact that it’s a ‘dog eat dog world’ out there, and no emotional ties or true friendship is the supposed best practice for them. Wasn’t too satisfied with the ending but isn’t too bad…there’s some scattered message about motherly love, family (daugther-mother) support, etc but a bit less solid due to the lacking of background details…probably there’s just too much to tell and to keep the suspense mode some parts are left unexplained.
