Movie ok if just get the gist of it abt how humanity & consciences means more than wealth…spreading the msg to treasure friendship, cherish our partners to bring more meaning to life above wealth.
But one thing I can’t help but agree with the movie is a very rich person very seldom will be bankrupt bcos no matter what investment he does, others will look highly on it and invest along with him, making it a profitable portfolio at the end of the day. And this is proven truth in many documentaries abt the world’s richest man or richest family, etc etc…so isn’t something new but the way this movie brings it out is of course more exaggerated in hope of making it comedic to general public.
Just a bit disagreeing to the last last part whereby ML is calculating the future child’s expenses with FL and he briefly joked that if it’s a gal (his child) then (direct translation as…) ‘just make payment will be that’s it’ but in actual fact in Mandarin he means of his child if it’s a gal then easy to settle just cost money that’s it. It is discrimination to girls, don’t you think(?) why must girls always be regarded as cost money and not the other way round…(a lot of female, women ard the world are great leaders if not to mention are also breadwinner of their families) didn’t think this joke is funny at all!
Overall ok, not really funny comedy…I watched bcos wanting to find something comedy and meaningful but lately not seen any true comedy movie unlike those old comedies of Stephen Chow really funny and crazy ideas to make audience laugh.
I keep checking if it’s the end of the movie yet especially near the ending for worry if bad ending or what (this time didn’t wanna survey the ending before watching!) …luckily it isn’t bad ending!
Good chemistry both main leads…SQ first captured my attention during variety show about acting skills which she can nail most of the short clip character’s she’s being given as competition task, while ZXC is one of my favorite after watching a few of his good portraying of characters in The Day of Becoming You & Go Ahead. Good to see him taking up a maturing character (as this movie shows his character from high school to adulthood) and his charisma is awesome…especially the charming looks of his eyes as if telling us a story, totally made me glue to this movie’s plotline. This time (her first main lead in a movie) is also probably SQ’s first exposure to steamy kiss (but I think tht’s kinda censored bcos when I see BTS it seems to have more to what’s shown in the full movie) and it seems believable of their chemistry.
This movie spreads the positive energy of how girls should fight for their rights in most Asian society’s preset barriers of education for females, inequalities between men & women in a family despite biological family, inequality btw the rich and less fortunate students in school, definition of immorality (does not means everyone who takes a liking for someone will want to deflower the person…love can be less complicated at times, but of course not all love at young age can have such beautiful beginning. Just be forewarn as remembering how my ex-classmate entered in a relationship that ended up being a young mother at 17yrs old) how to chase for her dreams without giving up (hope can show more of that but alas it’s a movie so won’t have enuf screen time for all that).
The mother’s acting was good until the extent everytime I see her in any production’s casting list will know she’s going to be either the villain or someone that’s polar opposite of any possible goodness tht can be in a character! Lol! But of course the director pulled back a little nearing the ending to paint a nicer unspoken character of this mother figure…maybe it’s to not make it seem totally bleak for having such mother so give a benefit of doubt for her actions.
This is a nice watch during a quiet lazy afternoon or during late night…the pace is just nice to make us slowly grow fond of main leads plotlines…only thing is, the side characters’ rationale of why they’re such isn’t being fully explored..maybe due to time constraints of a movie but it’s good for me as it is : )
I’ve checked out this trailer before but it didn’t appeal to me back then…although I’m a fan of parallel worlds genre. oh my…I didn’t know I could’ve missed a good drama!
Just chanced upon a 1hr-clip-tells-it-all and I was think 1hr is better than spending 12hrs for full 12 episodes…surprisingly it was nice and made me tear up despite short clip (usually I won’t if short clips bcos only getting the gist of it not fully on their emotions as it’s summarized to just know the plotlines with minimal space of mind to indulge fully) imagine in this way also get touched by their acting and plotline then I’ve decided to invest some time and watch a few full episodes of the last 11 & 12. It’s nice, really!
Wished I’ve started from beginning full episodes…a little late now that I know the beautiful twist of the story. Hope you guys can enjoy watching from beginning unlike me! Lol ^^
Why do I always feel tht Wong Kar Wai’s movie is beyond my comprehension 😅 lol…he’s good in telling subtle love story and capturing main leads emotional expression…yet it’s too deep for my understanding
In the end did FL died due to illness or really managed to survive and being sent away by ML at the airport? Is he telling a make-believe story to protect her reputation or is it truly she recovered and found a new person to pay for her living? Either way, ML still cannot be with her despite his one-sided loyalty to her.
From the beginning, I didn't expect much, to be honest, but it exceeded my expectations. It's a beautiful drama…
Was the romance chemistry between both main leads good and believable? (There are some Kdramas I’ve watched abt period drama usually it’s subtle love and romance with the eyes only…hope there’s at least some convincing kisses here, do they?) I’ve tried asking my not-straight-friend (homoromantic) who watched it some time back but he was only immerse in the political parts of the drama and couldn’t even tell abt the heteroromantic parts as he fast forwarded all those. Can pls share more of your views?

I’m still hesitating to start this drama altho I’ve been pinning for it to air back then…if you’ve watched (or skip watched) until the end of Part 2, mind sharing more of your thoughts if the ending is good or worth it? I’m a fan of romance genres, do enjoy ZLS & WL’s past works (same as you enjoyed his portraying character as Ashile Sun back then in TLB) and do hope part 2 can live up to the expectations.
I do like Taiwanese drama as they have the openness in their script writing to explore topics least favorable among most production house for worrying of hitting the censorship boards…same goes to this short drama (i call it short since it’s just 9 episodes) whereby it goes into sexual harassment of teacher-student, gender inequality, harassment by fellow employee at work, abusive marriage and all these causes long lasting trauma to the victims. Probably these topics should be more discussed for public to have more awareness and stand out to help others from being victimized and also forewarn others to see through the actions of to-be-abusers.
It’s really strange why today’s society still having people questioning why the victim are being victimized in the first place, thinking that the victim asked for this bad thing to happen to them when in fact the wrong and twisted person should be the abuser!
The story begins ok abt a lady going to meet her pursuer coming to her hse…the ending a little twist but to me also quite expected (I’ve watched too many dramas and it’s just one of those cliche I can detect) and fyi it’s a CF for bed (the previous one ‘Bed Affair 1’ (BD1) wasn’t as noticeable it’s relating to CF but this one is and isn’t as emotional ups and down as the BD1 so I’ve rate this 5 of 10 for the good try.
Sometimes every drama/ movie will have a message for us to takeaway…as for this, I felt the msg is not to waste our time if we’ve been giving a chance to have the 8th day of the week—whereby in this story told, FL have the magical bracelet that allows her to enter a parallel space that stops time for one day (it can be split into few mins regardless as long as total up to one day count) and other people will be temporarily vanished from this space so she can do whatever she wants and resume time whenever she wants to!
FL shows how silly a person can be in doing things once gaining such magical tool…but later after many aftermath of her actions she regrets it and uses the extra one day of magical space to upgrade herself mentally, academically (she’s a student) and physically (she was obese so she did her best to lose some weight).
This isn’t some large funded production, hence lacking in many ways and even the acting wasn’t anything to shout out about…however the script is something to appreciate although slightly cliche. Watch this is you’ve got nothing much ado and suddenly wanna do reflection about life relating to time management sorta thing…
I’ve just watched this…finally! My first thought abt the storyline is just wondering if ML’s mother knew his son will have problems in life so given him magical candles to blow away his worries…lol…but is his mother or fairy? or how did her DIY candles be able to have special functions…beats me to know!
Anyways, I’ve been looking fwd to watch this bcoz really anticipating ML (CFY)’s work as his previous drama (L&P) the acting, storyline, both main leads romance were so mesmerizing (I’m still having the drama OST on my mobile’s playlist). However comparatively, this storyline is good but just something is lacking that cldn’t make my heart tick unlike how L&P able to do tht. Perhaps it’s just me…or probably it’s the length of the show—movie approach will certainly have its limited time to showcase everything, whereas drama can have more background built up to solidify the characters—that isn’t fair to make any comparison to drama in the first place.
Worth watching if you too enjoy CFY’s performance…and of course the msg of the movie is good, to cherish what we’re now having (probably someone had sacrificed what they have just to give way to what we have for now)…and if we do our best to protect our loved ones what’s fated will surely come back to us : )

Aww…that’s disappointing. I also do feel it’s a bit wasted if the drama is very promising at the beginning but lacking at the ending…kinda difficult to have well balanced script writing or well produced manga adaptions these days😂
