I don't agree that international fans wouldn't be interested in a "hometown" theme. If i watch it it'd for the theme i'm not crazy about Matsumoto Jun but i do love those types of themes. Tamaki Hiroshi is an actor i'd a drama for :D

Hey thx for the friend invite!! btw I like the way you rate dramas, it makes total sense ;) Also I see many of your "plan to watch" is on Watched list while many on your Watched list is on PTW list :p
I got the same issues wit timing!! When I was in college I had so much time!! That is when I watched most of my shows + animes.. Now with work and all, I can barely catch up :(
i agree on everything except for 49 days from my point of view i see that in 49 days it was a perfect ending cuz…
I agree about liking the original ending, but I don't agree about the whole thing about destiny remaining unchanged. I think it wasn't about death, but about how she died. Instead of dying cheated, betrayed, and not realizing the people who truly cared for her, in that regard she truly changed her fate. I found it completely cohesive with how the story was going.
I hated the ending of Last Friends. The abusive boyfriend got no repercussions whatsoever, and she still had his…
For Hana Yori Dango (only version I've seen), I don't like the story generally so haven't bothered with other versions, I forced myself to finish the japanese 1 (took me 2 years :P) & the reason I always Hated it is: Domyouji!! Who would end up with a psycho like him?? It wasn't that he was a "bad boy" but more like a SPOILED BRAT!! I just hated this character, and cannot forgive the things he's done in the beginning no matter what "past trauma" he went through!!
Hana kimi I'm fine with the original ending cuz the Sano wasn't so bad, just boring, but I do love nakatsu & his antics!!
49 Days wouldn't be as great as it was if it ended like what you suggested. Too predictable I would say..
While we were getting half way through the drama, I was thinking: "what if the lead character manages to get her tears, but dies anyway.. that'd too good & so much more meaningful ending.. but they wouldn't go that far and risk pissing off viewers" but they did, and it made sooo much sense for me!! I loved it. This story was about accepting what life gives us, even death, & not take anything for granted. Her death completed the story. I just don't like how they handled the "sister" arc.
I agree, Nakatsu should have been definitely picked at the end! Honestly, I didn't care for Sano :D But I felt…
I dunno I never felt that hana kimi (atleast this version) was about the love triangle, it was more about friendship, trust and growth, which both Mizuki & Nakatsu had.

Thx 4 the friend invite :) I prefer jdoramas too ;)
To be honest I feel the ending was weak. The beginning was slow and annoying, but once you got through that phase…
I actually loved the ending, except I agree with the feeling of incompleteness. specially of not dealing with the Oizumi Family. For that its not perfect, but still enjoyed it. I specially liked Kotoko's friends' revenge against Naoki!! And the moment he stood under the rain and all, I think it was preparing us for what it lead up to.
why was kin chan shouting when he asked kotoko for marriage ??!! he was so loud that he almost blew out my eardrums…
Well I thought it suited his personality and character :P As if he thinks the louder he is, the more she'll realize his feelings for her are serious dunno :S
cool article the only one that was an exception to the rules but not an exception was playful kiss. i mean throughout…
Lool just finished Itazura na Kiss: Love in Tokyo :P
You are soo right about the whole showing that he cared for her in this version than the korean. In the latest Jversion we kinda see Naoki loosening up step by step and fall for her. The last episode was amazing when they show how he finally REALIZED she is about to belong to someone and loose her for good, he just couldn't accept it. I think more than acting this version had better directing, each episode focusing on a specific theme, developing the characters.
I've seen the taiwan version, and although its been a while so my memory about it is vague, I remember it being addicting for the chemistry of the leads. Except in season 1 the taiwan kotoko kinda drives you crazy for seeming to have no pride at all. Thats why I preferred the second season, where the relationship was more balanced. But still addictive and good acting.
I watched Lucky 7 for Eita, but it was pretty entertaining ;) Nazotoki wa Dinner no ato de was pretty good and all three leads were hilarious in portraying their characters :P I'm not a fan of Arashi so I don't really follow them so I haven't seen the rest
Phew... Reading your comments below I thought I'm the only one confused about 'F' problem- I was worried I missed…
I think its the real F and the real reason he hasn't killed in over 8 years was because he was in prison for another crime. The timing fits but anyways can't wait for a season 3 although I think its going to be a LOOONG Wait! :(
Is this some weird calender system? Where today's actually April? April fool's joke? NOOOO~~~ How am I gonna find…
I went a few times today on the site hoping it was a joke and that the site is running again :P I think its still possible to find those dramas online, I just preferred Dramacrazy over other sites.
