I was wondering similarly. He should know our Duke quite well, so perhaps he thinks he is above anybody else in Duke eyes. On the other hand he should be aware how often Duke is helping FL and that she is not treated like other pawns.
Then again people can be smart and stupid at the same time, so perhaps he hasn't grasped what even the dummy helper of our ML knew from almost the beginning (and got punished for his involvement 🤭).

They have 11 left and 6 days, so I presume they either leave 1 EP finale for Sunday and the rest is going to be 2 EPs or they do 1 EP on Friday/Saturday and 2 EP finale.
They can even make it more radical and make tomorrow 1 EP, so that would make all other days till Sunday with double EPs...

I am actually wondering if perhaps Emperor might not be turned to villain (or at least face slapped by ML/FL) 🤔

While waiting on new EPs of The Double I decided to watch this series. Why ML has to have 2 lieutenants/helpers and one is dummy and the other is like ML? I am on EP06 and it looks like beginning of a reverse harem to me 🤭 (ML, super scholar, regular scholar).
So far mother has not learnt - why not at least select another jewelry for her daughter? How many people and how direct have to point out her uneven treatment for her to get it? Doesn't she know that this way she can be driving a wedge (jealousy) between the girls?

I was hoping that the girl would end up with the dummy guard (from ML side) 😢
I was also hoping at the begining for warrior/archer girl to end up with scholarly cousin and dummy cousin (the one with turtle) to end up with "the greatest doctor" (they both love their "pets" and I am pretty sure that he would have been scared whittles by seeing one of her spiders/scorpions at first 😈). I also would not mind if the scholary cousin ended up with doc - she would straighten him up.

Still this drama is not so bad in the "let's kill fan favourites" department (yet). Have you seen "Killer and Healer"? The heads are rolling there like crazy...

But in the mine scene - wasn't she already wearing men's clothes? So regardless if she wore guard's or ML's undergarment they would not fit her at all. Wouldn't it make more sense for her to keep her undergarments? I know I should suspend disbelief...

What was critique about to garner such response? I get it if somebody said untrue things (like that the actor is lizard-alien) but other than that...?
I had some disagreements about some other actor's acting skills (I was in camp of said actor needed to improve) and I am of an opinion that we can see the subject differently. No need to attack each other.
Still when you hear what sort of crazy things happen with k-fans 😱 Have you heard about reporter reporting (true!) story about some guy (I don't remember if he was an actor or a singer) that he secretly recorded s*x tape (girl was not aware) and the reporter (and her employer) got harassed by the fans (calls 1-5AM, threats to burn the company etc.)? If I remember correctly doing this is a crime in Korea (and it's apparently a big issue in KR of women being recorded - even in their own single flats - without their knowledge and then it gets sold on websites 🤬).

I haven't read it this way (for me she is too proper - she is technically still a married woman and she acts this way most of the time) and refering to your other post - I thought there were 3 shirt options: hers, his and guards. Why she even needed to change the shirt is what is wondering me.
But sure - it is an option... but I would see the princes doing it and not most of the other ladies in the series. They are to proper/pride for that.

I find it also fascinating a few EPs back (when they were celebrating in the palace and the tea rooms situation was brewing) our FL was telling her cousin that they basically cannot be seen in public (at night + in a bit remote corner makes it seedy, I guess) because there are going to be rumors about them. She can however spend night (or were there 2 when she was meeting "the best doctor"?) at MLs mansion with no issue? Nobody wonders why she hasn't returned home? She was also traveling with them (cousin or ML) in chirot - this is fine or not? As I saw some series (novels) where that was also considered as "you just lost your V-card". In one novel even helping drowning girl was akin to that (in the same novel FL and ML spent night in cave but that was not questioned by anybody - her brother included). The rules are confusing for me.

What has liking smell of your partner to do with the events in series I was referring to? Not to mention that he was the one who gave the shirt to her.

Let me go back to end of EP19 - I get clothes change. But why undershirt needed to be changed as well? You don't see much of them under the layers and they basically look the same. I would get it if they used the other's underdershirt as it was smelling bad (presumably like most the people in mine) but I think ML's undershirt was smelling nicely so what is the difference between using his and leaving the original one? The only logical conclusion is to ogle shirtless ML... 😏

I don't know exactly how it works but perhaps it's online with subs? I saw people discussing for example Killer and Healer (great series, BTW, but brace for tears) audio, so it's not a new concept.

You mean "Addicted" (there is another TV series that's more direct adaptation of it - "Addicted Heroin" - that hasn't finished it's run because CH said enough and hammer of censorship fell and is still holding)? No, I have not. I have however read her other novels and I would suggest not to do it. My "favourite" examples come from her novel "Counterattack" (also available in movie format, done pre-"Addicted Heroin"). We have here 2 BL couples. MC1 gets rejected by his GF because she wants somebody better (=money), so he smacks his head with brick (she tries to break up with him multiple times and it always ends with brick - at the end she does it out of like morbid curiosity), so he lands at MC2 clinic (after each "bricking"), because MC2 is a doctor. Then they try to figure out plan how to make MC1 life better but ultimately it turns to MC1 deciding that since GF wants ML1 - he is going to get him instead because logic 💯 (as usually in her novels). ML1 is quite wealthy and Day-like (basically a thug), loves his snake and big buts (which MC1 is an owner of). ML1 has kind of friendship with ML2, who is a snake seller. Warning - you might need to 🤮: one of the snakes is being used to check if girls are virgins (let's forget the disgusting aspect and add this to r/BadWomansAnatomy - how a woman could write that, I will never know). ML2 also kind of stalks MC2. Another 🤮 story is why MC2 doesn't want to be in relationship. His ex did a number on him (it's explained around chapter 200, I think). Ex wanted to break up, so he did what any other sensible human being would do - arranged for gang r*pe of MC2 🤦‍♀️. After the said event he was like: "MC2 you are dirty after it, so we cannot be together". Silver lining: it turned out that MC2 wasn't physically r*ped (I have no idea how he - being a doctor - couldn't tell but it was revealed like years after the incident).
If I remember correctly she was writing those novels at a time when from r*pe to love was a valid relationship development (I think Love Syndrome might be from similar time) and many authors used this trope. I am not making an excuse for her - I find her novels to be super toxic as well. Spare your brain cells!

Yes, some are just simply trash (like "Not me"* - the series was great because they basically only took names and the switch of twins from it and the rest was scriptwriters being awesome).
There are however novels that add to he series (especially Chinese... you know - censorship 🙄). The Untamed = Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation is just one of the examples. I liked "love letter" and SA-rescue scene from "Love Sky" ("Love in the Air") better then the series one - it was more detailed in the feelings of the characters (something that's sometimes hard to "translate" to screen). "Manner of Death" showed a totally different vibe of Dr Bun (he was so cold!). KinnPorsche - the funeral scene was so much funnier (Khun almost burned the whole house down 🤣) and PeteVegas were so much worse then in the series (Pere was r*ped multiple times before feeling appeared), so skip it. "Semantic Error" was more in-depth of their relationship and it's development.
*in novel there was no social commentary, Tod was basically a passerby 2 times, Sean figured that it's White in like 5 seconds but kept it going to get in White's pants (which he did in the bathroom - it was more like SA or at least dub-con - while his other friend was sleeping on the floor in the next room; another friend was at the same time "getting busy" with Black on the bed in said room). Did I mention that it was trash? 😮‍💨

But seriously the novels made Day much more brutal/thug (especially 1st volume) and Itt much more whining 😒 Let me add to that that I think only Night knew that Day SA Itt (he saw the recording on a DVD). Why you ask? Itt was embarrassed to be the bottom (it's like the notion of r*pe hasn't even crossed his mind...). Everybody in Itt's orbit seem to think that Day can do no wrong (except from time to time: Nick*) and all of Itt's complaints (often + whining) are baseless (not all were). Even his whole family is brainwashing him to think that he should just obedently follow Day 🙄

To be honest - I liked "Love Syndrome". They were quite "faithful" to the novel and they did good job portraying their respective characters. The novel series itself is just a giant ball of red flags submerged in ocean of toxicity but I still enjoyed it (it's similar to watching for example "House, MD" - fun to watch but I would hate to work with him and wouldn't wish boss like that on anyone).
This series has some serious plot holes but the jokes are not so cringe as in "Crazy Handsome Rich" and I like for series to make me laugh, so I am suspending my disbelief and watching this one 😁

I think GMM might also have something to do with it. There are some couples that constantly get fan meets, their series are heavily promoted and others aren't.
Let's take "Not Me" (NM) Vs "Bad Buddy" (BB). IMO NM was much better (and I am not fan of Off but I liked him here) but BB got like crazy promotions and budget (by comparison), so it got super popular. NM (that actually had interesting plot and not just same old university rom-com) was treated like some kind of unwanted step-child that should work on its own without support from "parents" (GMM).
I think that there are several couples that - perhaps because they are already established? - are having significantly less promotion than others (FirstKhao are one of them - I get them being busy with their life but I felt like ForceBook and MarkNeo had more fan meets/variety shows/publicity after "Only Friends").
It is also true that some ships are really active on social media and that makes a difference (FirFir and Khao are the opposites of that 😅 - they are both a bit of lazy cats in that department...)
On a side note: let's hope that First hasn't again got in some kind of accident and broke another part of his body 😢

I sometimes think that they could condense the series (no to the point of Korean BLs but still) - there are often unnecessary pauses (sometimes plots) and I really do not want to see BL "The Bold and the Beautiful" where you get contestant closeups instead of plot...

Agree (the 🍷 is so suspicious). Once I heard that vampires "overlord" is missing for surprising long time I was like: running a bar takes to much time, so he doesn't have time to rule the city as well... 🤭

For me the most weird thing is the whole ex debacle. Ex in parallel world has twin brother - so was he the same ex or not? If he was then how does that work? Phum would have to be originally from pararell word, so how could he take over the body?
And how exactly are the vampire guards/army traveling between pararell words? It just so happen that all of their counterparts died?
