Really regret watching this show while there are no subs. Its a really good modern drama and I cannot usually say that about a lot of Chinese modern dramas. It cannot be just me but at this point by episode 29 Gao Mu seems as if he is holding out hope on Li Nanen. It doesn't make sense when he rejected her in the first half of the series. It seems its only coming about because of how crazy Wan Wei is becoming. Hopefully he will get over it pretty quickly because its pretty distracting and annoying for him to be cockblocking Zhou ErWen.
Don't worry, if ur still watching she gets alot worse. There is no redeeming value to her character. I hope its not too much, that at least, she ends up in jail before this show ends.
Am I the only one who thinks this drama is getting better and better every episode at least though it haven't…
I thought I was the only one. As the episodes are coming, they are building their relationship and I can see where the potential problems and villains that are slowly cropping up. The comedy does feel forced in some scenes especially when it comes at time with situations that should have a serious note, but I actually really like it. I am surprised that I am really liking the chemistry between the two leads.
hey do you have some recommendations for someone who wants to start watching c-dramas like me?
Sorry for the delay, I personally dont watch fantasy or anything supernatural but I can recommend Nirvana in Fire, Ever Night, Ashes of Love The Legend of Fuyao and Princess Agents. The former three I didn't watch but has great reviews from people, while the latter two I have watched.
Happy Ending? This is on my to-watch list but I'd like to prepare myself if it ends in tragedy
Its a happy ending, the main leads end up together. The second lead brother ends up with the girl he has been protecting and loving throughout his life so a win win on that end. However, three main supporting characters pass away.

It depends on what you are interested in....of its historical, modern, romance, thriller, fantasy, wuxia, etc etc....there is a wide range of options to be honest.
I actually started watching Korean dramas and then fell in love with Taiwanese and Chinese dramas with a little sprinkle of lakorns and jdramas every now and then.
I will pass on Korean dramas for now and will watch it every now and then if something catches my eye, but I cannot get as enthused as I used to when I first started. It lost something along the way in its hard push to appeal to everybody and everything and I don't know if it's original content, story, or a good script.
Yes, the uncut version gives a better explanation why Li Cheng Yin did what he did. I became more empathized with…
I absolutely loathe his character in the cut version that I just had to stop at episode 10. But now, watching the uncut version I empathize with his character more so than anything. I don't agree with his actions but its not coming out from a left field as the original version had it portrayed.
Is there a lot and lot and lot of romance, because I want that. I will watch even without it for Bai Lu and Shu…
There is not a lot of romance. I would warn, do not watch if your expecting the same amount of romance from their previous show. Dont't get me wrong, they have electrifying chemistry and Xu Kai potrayal of Gu YanZheng will have your heart race and having you face palming yourself in embarrassment when he falls head first in love with the female lead. The moments when he is jealous, possessive, caring, and eventually broken down are also really, really, really beautifully potrayed by Xu Kai as well. However, romantic interactions between him and the female lead can total at least five minutes for most episodes and barely two after episode 18. I would say watch this show if your looking for a drama about friendship, comedy, and serious growth involved in all of the characters introduced. This is the drama that reminds me of school dramas in most Korean shows but with war and politics in the mix.
This is my crack drama.....its been years since I have been unable to stop watching a show without getting tired. Saw Xu Kai in yanxi palace and he was amazing there but his chemistry with the main lead in this drama is just amazing. Plus his character Gu YanZheng is just the right amount of cocky, arrogrant, possessive, hilarious, and big ole softy that I have rarely seen in a male lead. His antics just makes me laugh nonstop. This will definitely be a repeat drama for me.
When does XX start to see GYZ as romantic interest
Its so freaking subtle but I would say around episode 16 or 17. U can see that she reacts differently when he touches her in episode 9 and I believe it was also in episode 13 when he winks at her she was affected but played it off.
Watched the first two ep and I already love this. But it makes me scared that people can just fall out of love…
I wouldn't say love, more so lust. They both are looking for the grass thatbis greener on the other side. She wants someone spontaenous, not so frugal, and dont dollow the rules. The main lead wants someone more mindful of money, trust him and not smother him, independent, and actually love him for him and not his money. I wouldn't regard it as lobe at this point and even as this series is progesssing, I still dont. Its mostly just lust and two people who probably wish their respective partners have the traits they see in one another
I'm conflicted! ML is basically a cheater... I want to not like his GF for being overbearing yet she is still…
I wanted to dislike both of the leads respective partners but I cannot, more so on WeiWei's end. Out of both partners, Kehuan's relationship with his gf seems the most toxic and the only one I think that both partners are better off with other people. WeiWei and her bf seems like a great couple, but it borders more so on the fact that WeiWei might have felt comfortable with Haoyi and not interested in rocking the boat. But when Kehuan stepped in he was "new, exciting, and a rush of fresh air". In thr end I do wish that Haoyi ends up with someone who shares the same idea that he has about a future and family, but tone down on all the planning. While Kehuan's gf needs to mature and be left on her own to make her own living and not reliant on other people.
the end left me a little bit perplex i mean, he was right with what he is saying but then, what did he expect?…
I think he was expecting at most that she came at least, if not a little, because of her attraction towards him. It might have dawned on him it was because of her boyfriend, but ultimately he believed that WeiWei was tired of fighting the attraction they have for one another and was going to give in. Maybe subconsciously, Kehuan thought WeiWei might have some type of feelings for him, hence why he was hurt and annoyed since not only was she highlighting the fact that she loved her boyfriend, she was also imposing her sense of sacrifice for the greater good of a relationship, which kehuan's gf does ALL the time in an effort to not let go.
Should have just called the show Misunderstandings and Miscommunication, because that is what this show was. Should have continued with them in high school, even in college because when they became adults they acted as if they were a child. Too many unexplained actions and when explained it was never fully explained. One person is always left out in knowing the full truth and assumptions are made, which ends up hurting either one of the main leads. Even the second leads fell into this loop. I would give this show a 1/10 except for the first 12 episodes were really good and the main leads chemistry were cute. Aside from that, don't waste but time, especially with the way it ended. It a huge waste of time. Ifnur considering to watch, then don't. Ur bored, don't watch it. Still wanna give it chance, don't watch it all.
