I mean, can you blame them? I mean, how else are they going to make their money? Lol I’m just happy w e don’t…
Im obsessed with Interview with the Vampire TV series. It's sooo good. I want to check out The Talamasca. I love Sandman too. I need to catch up on S2 if I can tear myself away from these C and K dramas. 😂
I mean, can you blame them? I mean, how else are they going to make their money? Lol I’m just happy w e don’t…
I'm the same. Lol. Last American TV show I watched was Dexter season 10. Because that is Dexter. I still have to catch up on Darryl Dixon and Dead City.
This is one of the reasons I've never liked Princess Ying. The only attitude she has that's genuinely hers is cruelty. That's her backup whenever she can't get what she wants. I also don't like characters or ppl who try to justify their rage at someone over imagined slights and that's who she is.
She blamed the emperor for sending off his guard and claiming he never liked him, when she doesn't know anything at all about what's going on and that's also just her reason to hate the emperor.
She is UNWORTHY of a loving relationship because she hasn't earned it. Why are the writers trying to force her relationship with Commander Li unto us. He's like her handler and if he's not around to reign her in, she'll go berserk. That's not what love is. That's not what change is. Look at what she did to the emperor and empress, the empress was her friend or tried to be
No sane man should want to be with her. I would love for her to show her true colors, try to hurt the emperor, and when Commander Li returns, he seems she's a lost cause and breaks up with her. But I know that won't happen because the writers want to force this coupling down our throats.

Lol, yeah Kdramas and American shows, you have to wait a whole week. And in American shows, you have those mid season breaks that go one for over a month.
Imperial perceptor du's character is such a waste, she have the potential of being a good ally of the emperor…
Yeah, I agree. Her hate towards the emperor is unjustified. He was a kid when all of that went down and the person who truly held the truth from her is the very person she's working with to betray the emperor. Even if the emperor dies, his brother is next in line, or the Empress Dowager or Empress. Her silly butt ain't ever going to see that throne. She is a princess and her value to the Imperial family is gaining power through marriage. Where this idea of hers comes from that she can get the throne is ridiculous.
How can she show emotion in that situation? Plus they cut out every emotional scenes she has in this drama. They…
The only thing I liked about it was the action and the villain who lost it because of his obsession. And the princess. I enjoyed their scenes towards the end. Loved the fighting scenes with the FL and ML. But their romance meant nothing to me. They did spend too much time on building the romances between the side characters.
Look, all I know is dude said my lips stay plump and glistening in case you ever want to kiss them. 😂 This may be a bromance, but imma take my liberties.

Their whole relationship lacked chemistry. I saw the attraction from the ML perspective, but FL came off more as a big sister. Her characterization is part to blame on the writing and ridiculous reason behind her marrying his dead brother. But also the actress just didn't sell the role to me. I didn't see attraction in her eyes when she looked at the male lead, even as he is professing his love for her. Her performance was patronizing IMO. Their scenes together came off very platonic. That's what I mean. When she had the screen time, I didn't feel like she shared the same passion.
If only that was the only nonsensical thing haha. Just go with the flow.
Oh, don't get me wrong, I enjoy the cheese factor of these dramas. And there are a lot of short dramas have some pretty solid storytelling like the Palace Gambit
Lost faith in FL wits today... here ya go just drink this ...
That part was so stupid. I hate when they have the lead bend to the will of the villain. Like, there's no guarantee they'll keep they're word. It's not like they e been showing you how honorable they are to begin with. Why would you drink that? What if it was poisoned and you died instantly. How does THAT save your friend?
I'm wondering where her spunk and fire went. His too. ML is barely around, and hasn't done anything to fight back. Not really. He told his ppl he didn't want to marry that woman, but didn't even have the real priestess with him. They are powerful enough to expose them fully, yet act like they can't do anything. They weren't acting scared when they visited other towns, but this one turned them into passive punks.
I wish I would have all that power and cower before ppl trying to kill me.
And is it me or is EVERYONE kicking the ML ass? He hasn't won a fight yet!
Yes, like her brother said that she was raised in a home where nobody taught the right from wrong so she just…
That poor kid. She ate it gleefully too, in his face while he was crying. Then when he said he was coming back with his brother, she told LI he can just beat the brother up. And that was after the kid was kind to her. Yeah, when characters are crappy, I don't want them to have what they want. The writers may be steering it in that direction, but it's not earned. It's coming off like Commander Li is her handler. They have no chemistry other than her obsession.
The empress dowager hasn't fully shown her claws yet. Grand Tutor is just waiting to show out again. So now, the active villain is Miss Du who is also obsessed with the emperor. Like why is she blaming him for what happened to her mom? He was a child when it went down and didn't have power to make decisions.

I agree. It should not be Commander Li's job to teach her morals. And she's only being nice because she wants him to like her. Not because she finally realizes that how she's been behaving is wrong. If she had truly self-reflected, she would have recognized when the servants claimed they "Forgave her", she would have noticed that it was insincere because they felt like they had to say those things to make her feel better. She just accepted the fake sincerity and was proud of herself. I don't think she deserves Commander Li's love and affection. Too bad the writers are forcing their relationship on him and us.
I might be in the minority, but I don't find the princess charming. The brother wants me to believe she's just so sweet, and innocent and childlike charm. Maaan, whatever. She controlled the Empress to try to kill the emperor. Had the empress been weaker, she may have succeeded. Had anyone else pulled that stunt, say a commoner, they'd be dead.
She has zero regard for the lives of others. She let that one guard get bitten by venomous snakes for her own selfish reasons and didn't want to take any accountability for her part in it. Instead, she acted like a spoiled brat until her brother forced the guard to apologize. She should have been the one apologizing. The guard could have died and she was so callous, acting like he had a choice. They can't refuse the royal family's orders. During her "apology" to the servants, they had to say they forgave her, but they were terrified the whole time because of her true personality. She's only doing these things to earn Commander Li's favor.
She does whatever she wants to ppl and the only person who will make her face the consequences if he is inclined, is the emperor. She gets away with a lot of wrong doing.
So, no, I don't find her sweet and adorable. I'm not rooting for their relationship. Looks forced anyway.
Actually one more reason is that from all of them ML is THAT kind of love Like u know her love for him is totally…
Her father killed so many ppl and yet, because he's her father, she's content with letting him retire to peacefully contemplate. Had he been anyone else, she would have expected them and their whole clan to be killed or exiled. Had he been a commoner pulling those stunts, he would have been killed immediately.
No justice for his victims as their killer is still alive and able to continue plotting as he did with Proceptor Du.
I just simply don't understand why he just won't tell her the truth. Solves everything. I don't blame the FL for…
That part is stupid and well, FL seems to have selective outrage anyway. Her best friend and adoptive brother have both lied to her. She knows they are part of the sect that tortured and mutates kids, but that doesn't seem to bother her at all. This series is suffering from lazy writing and bad characterization. The writers are relying too heavily on the "misunderstanding trope" because it's beyond logical at this point why they don't just communicate.
I find it interesting that she can forgive the ppl who she had know practically her whole life for lying to her and being assassins and trying to kill the royal family... But she gave the emperor such a hard time for killing her master even after she found out that her master needed killing for being the villain who tortured those children.
Her adoptive brother just tried to kill her husband, is leader of the sect that tormented kids and mutated them, not to mention, he faked his death and she couldn't care less from what I see. They're just sitting down having a civil conversation.
Double standard-much. Apparently her moral outrage is flexible depending on who you are.
