I did the reverse: I scrolled through 3-12 eps because they were boring me stiff, and from there on just watched scenes related to the main couple. I like Lu Si , but imo the script is a total schlock, and I couldn't care less for all the drag out business scenes.

Lu Si acting is great, script is mediocre at best. Don't quite understand the hype. And as an aside, what a horrible culture where a child is a stain, and a divorce is a disaster for business.

C-darma of the past few years suck. They do same old same old, cliches, same sets, dubbed voices, recycled screenplays that go nowhere, a lot of bad acting, worse writing, plus substandard production values and censorship. K-dramas are not as good as they used to be, true. But it is the same everywhere: US dramas flop at the moment, and so do UK's, and Turkish and the rest. Drama needs something to say, it reflects reality and reality right now is the world upside down and in chaos.

Actually you are wrong. There are several different theories on the etymology of the word Iblis, including merging of Greek and Arabic. But "Satan" comes from the Hebrew word שָׂטָן (śāṭān), In all 3 traditions he is the leader of the opposing celestial beings that end up in Hell . In Islam he is called Iblis , sh-Shayṭān, Abu Murrah (Father of Bitterness), Abu al-Harith, Adūw-Allāh (Enemy of God). I believe the original name was Azazil. , In X-tian tradition his name is Lucifer, Satan, The Devil, The Lightbringer, Helel, he is also referred to as Father of Lies, the Serpent, the Evil One and more. So there is no one fixed interpretation of the same archetype that exists in all traditions of the Book. They all are related and there is a ton of them.
