OK, thank goodness nobody dies. I am assuming Dr Go is in search for the other Go -- could be that he disappeared or went no-contact for some reason. Would be interesting to see what happens.

Title All That We Loved Spoiler
The present Dr. Go is most definitely Joon Hee -- he is rather serious + nobody hangs a jersey their mother gifted to them in their office. It's most likely Joon Hee's way of remembering Yoo.

I love Ah-Reum's scenes with the new doctors! Somehow, she makes them feel less... embarrassed? Especially being able to get through Dr Jang's stubborn skin is pretty amazing. Seems like her openness makes him feel more likely to respond.

I do think it was -- she needed help.

That surely cannot excuse what she did in response; only Kang Ho has the right to forgive her on that basis. Of course, we as viewers should keep in mind that such parenthood isn't borne out of a vacuum. Imo, there are better ways of showing that than how it's being showed here. But I will also wait and see how the plot plays out. I hope I am wrong.

I don't want her to turn into a perfect mother or change her ways immediately. What's difficult about this route that the drama has taken is that Kang-ho has little or no say in how he is being helped / healed.

That aside, he is not an experiment for her to keep making mistakes that are actually neglect. In this scenario, I can see she's desperate, and that makes it slightly different. No parent is perfect, but some "mistakes" can have lasting impact.

My point being this: the writer + director are not treating the neglect Kang Ho faced in his childhood with sensitivity. Knowing Young Soon's side of things makes her human and I do not have a problem with it. But the way the narrative around repairing their relationship is being built is very questionable and weak; there is an underlying belief behind the script that the impact of Young Soon's treatment can be undone. It cannot. It does not hold her accountable in the way parents like her should be. It made a victim out of her when her son wanted her to sign off her legal rights. It is making a victim out of her again by telling us that circumstances are pushing her again into repeating some actions. It's not fair on Kang Ho; I do hope the episodes in the future deal with this.

Title The Good Bad Mother Spoiler
While I get that Young Soon is desperate and was caring for her son, the writers pushing in the tactic to starve him right after we see the awful memories of Kang Ho with regards to food was not helping her case. I could have sympathized without that context, but with it? I fear it's just defending neglect by portraying it as something a parent *has* to do for their child, as if it's for their betterment. It's not: it's abuse. In the paralysis case, I am being less harsh because he did not have lasting negative feelings towards the hunger tactic. HOWEVER, the tactic was not wise and was at a risk of worsening his condition; he could have lost hope had he not been able to pick up the spoon. You can't beat paralysis through sheer will.

Samshik is genuinely such a fun character. He is a habitual stealer and I don't see things working out for him and Mi Joo unless he actively works on that. But he is not a mean human being, like Kang Ho has become. His journey towards bettering himself is what I am most looking forward to

I agree - it would be better if they're from another relationship

Title The Good Bad Mother Spoiler
I previously speculated that Kang Ho left Mi Joo, but it's also possible that Mi Joo felt guilty or had to break up with him because of his mother. Although that would make sense if Young Soon knew about the relationship in the first place. I am more curious about the twins: if they are Kang Ho's children, it does not sound like Mi Joo to keep that information to herself and not reach out to Kang Ho. However, if she initiated the break up or if he broke up with her and cut ties with her completely, then I can imagine such a situation.

I think she and Kang Ho will mend their relationship and he will know how important she is for him. Fingers crossed.
I would want that too, but seeing how far gone Kang Ho is, it is hard to imagine that for now.

Since I'm mostly invested in Mi Joo, my prediction is that she will end up with Sam Sik. I can't help but feel that she was all but discarded by Kang Ho.

It was heartbreaking - she knew she was not what any man, any 'classy' man, would choose or love. Perhaps, if he looks at her photos and calls her beautiful, she will live in his memory for long, that she will resurrect the brief period of her past.

I hope so too! It would be sad if it ended on a major cliffhanger. I'd rather it end on a more where it explains what happened and anticipates the future course of action.

You got Taekrook's intentions for Mr Cheon wrong -- right now, the only way to expose Chief Seo is through Mr Cheon; Taekrook will have to make promises to him to get to the Friend + expose Chief Seo.

Nobody is passing judgments in the show because that is just impossible to threaten power like that, especially given the nature of the events and the story. Taekrook isn't acting out of sheer goodness of his heart in the first place -- it started because he wanted to clear his name, and now his daughter's life is at stake. He is not 'the good cop'. He is just one cop in the system who regrets ever being part of it.
