Episode 15 felt too much of a filler for me. It doesn't have the charm the previous episodes had, of dealing with characters in a sensitive manner. Perhaps it's the poor resolution of Dae Ryuk's arc that is plaguing my experience. Goodness knows.

I think deviating from the original isn't wrong. I do agree with your general point, the k-version shouldn't have made decisions it couldn't justify.

Aside from episode 14, the drama really is fine. It made bold decisions regarding Dae Ryuk which they failed to resolve, but the rest of the arcs are working out fine. I think that the fall in quality has to do with the extension of the drama from 12 to 16 eps.
