Could anyone be so kind and paste exactly what she's written? This site is only for logged users :/
Oh yes! And that cringe moment wih drunken Lan Zhan just before their first time (which was surprisingly good) - a chicken was there? XD But I'm a huge fan of Mo dao zu shi<3 It has very well thought-out plot. Just when the novel was finishing the author remembered she wanted to write yaoiXD
After the first kiss happened (which was very disappointing), I continued watching out of curiosity, because I…
Actually many good points here. However it would be liberating if you weren't so rude expressing your thoughts about Asian looks in general... To me they look totally adult, as they are. So if you're not familiar with distinguishing a teenager from and adult - that's your problem. That might happen to anyone, so even more reasons to hold one's tongue a bit ;)
But! I agree lately I see more and more Chinese super skinny actors (and actress'). To the point it's disturbing. Chinese standard of beauty "never too much skinny" and "only super skinny with no muscles (for women)" is extremely unhealthy.
Might be true: it's this generation's Addicted (from the same author XD). Then I'm from the previous one. It was low budget, acting was very poor from time to time (Bai Luo Yin's friend e.g.) and yet it was raw and I love it despite its obvious faults. However I still think/hope/guess(?) in Ravenged love, their intimate scenes will improve and won't be that forced... There are 17, 45 minutes long episodes left!
I haven’t read the novel myself, but I know that it includes BDSM elements and significant themes of dominance…
I'm absolutely aware that power imbalance in BL and that it's a copy from regular rom-coms, older ones even. I wish it would be different ^^" But of course, I'm "ok" with imbalance at some degree and make distinction between reallity and fiction. Just when it becomes flagrant irks me. Many times we hear Suo Wei's internal monologues and it's clear he doesn't want any skinship. Even holding hands freaked him out.
Actually I agree with (at least a part of ) your perspective here, Suo Wei's intentions were far from pure and he himself says for example "I only know I like you", not to mention his "me too" 😂 Chi Cheng isn't stupid and is dominant by nature, but how he tries to hump him - e.g. dragging him out of a restaurant/bar and throwing into his car or some time later in his house, ending with forcefully grabbing Suo Wei's butt (and him squirming in pain)? Very unpleasant👎
Thank you for mentiontion (warning?) about BDSM trope! I guess Chai Ji Dan doesn't pulling in her horns.
I'm not the 4th ep and I kept going thinking I'll last bc it's so short so I'll manage😂
From the start I'm like where tf is logic here? What is this... mess? -> bc of these I became sure it's "based on a webnovel or a webtoon", but I have to admit I shifted more to the second option. That's also when my expectations dropped lower (not that I had them very high regarding this title). "He stole my ex-girlfriend (which is not even true) so I'll stole him"? I can't wrap my mind around this one...
That's one thing, and I can laugh it off. But the more serious problem with this show is constant presence of sexual harassment and intimidation. Which I'm guessing was supposed to be... sexy?🫨 Like any closer contact between the main couple is one-sidedly forced at this point, and we know for sure Wu Suo Wei feels uncomfortable with it. That makes it hard to watch... Especially bc he's visibly weaker. I was stunned it's another story of Chai Ji Dan, however on another hand it's kinda similar to Bai Luo Yin/Gu Hai from Addiced relation. With the small tiny difference that Bai Luo Yin could've shake Gu Hai off and at least in the novel there was the time when he willingly stopped - the drama failed to show it though. So if anyone has read the novel I'll be indebted for the information if it's also this bad there as in the drama.
Not sure if I'll finish this, maybe just to fair and square rate it as 2 or 3.
As expected it's better from the remake ☺️ I really loved it, however due to a personal trigger it has no rewatch value to me and I rated it at 8, while, if no for that, it would be 9.5 or 10 ^^'
I definitely liked the family tropes here. I could understand the suffocationg feeling that Ling Xiao was bearing, and I didn't see his mother as "a crazy bitch". Although the wrapping in the last episode was too quick. Zi Qiu's thread was also very understandable - maybe he's the one who adult-ed in this series? ;) Jian Jian's relationship was different from what we otfen see in the dramas. It's refreshing even. However it feels like she didn't have much choice? But I doubt anyone could force her so it's still her decision. She liked and cared for him; she didn't want some extreme, dramatic romance, so she decided to stay with the one who thinks of her as all his world. I think it happens in real life and it's not necessarily a bad thing. Albeit Ling Xiao's feelings are desperate, it looks like he got addicted to her presence, which makes him be able to breath. I can't say I was unfomfortable watching him running for a hug when he felt on the edge - BUT imagine Jian Jian's disapearing. What he will become? His life was so harsh I wish him to finally find peace on his own too😢
To sum up I cannot not mention the beautiful songs! I can listen to "Fearless" for hours❤️ Some time later I got to really like "I will stay guard here" too :) And Li-dad and Ling-dad, the first one one dad role model from the start, while the second was able to learn from his mistakes and wish to amend, knowing his shortcomings.
(At last summing up!) this drama brings full, real-life and complex story, which I highly recommend :)
I'm at episode 3 now and I'm not really feeling it as a "too good" drama as the reviews suggest. Does it get better…
It's a great drama in terms of a family, bonding, growing up&getting old and hardships with a dark twist, that cannot be "just fixed". I liked it from the start, maybe you'll like it more when they're adult :)
Boring, chaotic, overly dramatic at times, maybe bc they soften the story (which is not a bad thing per se). Even "heroin" was too tangled. The one thing that matched, was poor/stiff acting from Bai Luo Yin/Poppy XD And the fact August doesn't pass as a teenager... esp. while surrounded by them. The worst remake of Addicted. Now I'm waiting for the Japanese one (ʘ‿ʘ)/
looks like the ppl in these comments are slow too so let me help you out! ramilpaytais relationship is consensual!…
Hm, I'm not convinced, sorry. We saw one scene with a lead and imo Paytai looks scared there, but just "know what to do". He even hasitated for a split second. (I've just finished the 5th ep) Overall only 5 eps have aired so nothing is definite, however for now it seems to me Paytai is rather dependent on Ramil, most likely emotionally and Ramil uses him for support (due to his own problems) as well as giving him "missions". He's rather possessive too so it's not like he doesn't care about him at all.
A decent drama with up and downs, beautiful settings and actresses. Doubtful rewatch value though.
Could anyone recommend a drama with a story similar to 5th daughter Le Shan? I'm just in that kind of mood for such content and in Perfect Match it was too short;D
It's too bad I had to drop this. I really like IU, I like Bo-gum, and I really love Moon So-ri. My Mister is one…
Sorry, but what "misery porn" do you mean? I don't get it. Yeah, some ppl are just mean, as in real life. Personally I wouldn't call any one "pure evil" here, but I could agree Gwanshik's greatmother was "evil". Other characters sometimes change, sometimes we get to know them better, they often are harsh, but their situation was extremely poor. Small spoiler: As for IU's character, in the first eps we saw when she's only mean to him, but later we get scenes, also from that time, when it wasn't the case. They had nicer moments too, and from shortly before the wedding she stopped being mean at all :)
*or more actually (ʘ‿ʘ)/

"I beg you not to read my novel" - wow, it actually makes me want to XD Esp. knowing she's not proud of her... faults.
