This is what revenge feel like. All those "revenge" are miss the mark and this one nailed it.

I like the drama BUT i like the first 1-4 eps the most. I feel they going a bit to slow to be entertaining with this type. Some talking part are characters going around in circle for 5-10 mins.
Some part that show be dramatic are cut short. Idk. I hope it get better.
And....
i feel a bit weird at how fast YZJ went so solf so fast from being the guy who order DW beat up lol. He went from cold heart dude to a loving puppy despite saying he want revenge more than wasting time on other things. He didn't even try to fight it at all which is kind of naive for someone with much more worldly experience . Where DW give her whole heart to him easily because she pretty much in jail her whole life before meeting him.
I just wondering if its just me lost in translation about His personality somewhere.

SHE JUST NEED A GOOD DRAMA . The one that the script is good. The story is good.
Why its so hard to get one for her.
I dont know why her agency is suck at this. She only got lead roles in dramas that are okay or worst.
Or she didn't have to be the lead but just a support roles that are good enough to shine.
They're wasting her youth 😭

The plot is a fan girl travell back in time and try to save her fav idol.
But the plot device is thing that you can change and then story can still go on the same way. I would argue that it could be many others than the serial killer imo. It can be a real suicide or an accident or an obsessive fan /friend of him who didn't show their true face until the last minute.

But a serial killer is a very unknown character that we got nothing on and he feel more like a force of nature that a human. More like a god. a device that the writer need just to move the plot.

And it's take 3-4 ep to show that's there is a killer. I enjoy all the possibility before he show up.

Perfect or not is a personal opinion. We all entitled to ours.

this drama is great until they make the serial killer the major plot device.
But as a high school to adulthood, coming of age and rom-com drama.it ticks all the right boxes.
A very charismatic FL that can act and carry the story, A loveable ML, comedic time done right and romantic scenes that can capture people heart.

I really loved how it played out until the killer thing became the plot device. It's kind of lazy. Cliché.
But it's not that bad; the rom-com side still dope. I just feel like the killer plot is a shackle that hold them back from being more creative.

for me, A good screenplay about high school-adulthood coming of age and rom-com is what truly makes it stand out. But it was good characters that were written with care and good actors/actresses who portrayed them that made the drama so popular.
school-adult hood drama types need to nail those nostalgia scenes or it will never work. This one did.

All the cast is good-looking because it's a rom-com LOL. I don't get it why ppl try to play down a bunch of people's hard work for that reason.
You are entitled to your opinion, but it's really, really rare that the leads in rom-coms are ugly.
Plenty of rom-coms fail, even if they have super good looking casts. In BWS's old dramas, some of them got casts that are super popular and much more good looking than him (in some people opinion) but still ended up lukewarm.

this drama is not perfect but it's still dope.

1 No love triangle. there are this "almost" thing but they don't really have any feeling.
2 Yes, the playgirl bestfriend who is an annoying and cliché plot device that gives bad relationship advice because the plot demands it. This will be one of the most annoying parts in the middle of the story. I mean, if she isn't giving shitty advice, it will be over at 24-26 ep at most lol
3 lots of misunderstanding. at first, it was cute misunderstandings. then cliché heartache 2000s modern romance drama type of misunderstanding. It will annoy you because modern romance drama these days rarely do it (unless you like 10 mins short chinese series)

Just don't take the logic seriously. I feel like the director tries to tell us that all the time too. They make it very dramatic and dreamy in every shots. its giving very 2000s model romance novel vibe.

I think the show is great. really entertaining. I don't see the problem in their acting. I got all butterflies from both leads. DW is so sexy here. I think he nails the role. BL is giving her best as always. She got so much charisma she made the FL look cute when she made stupid decisions.
The clumsy flirting in the beginning is so cute to watch.

The only downside is it's too cliché. It's an outdated misunderstanding plot that requires the smart female lead to be dumb. The overbearing CEO that plays push and pull with the FL till she is afraid to tell him the truth.

yes she did. Those thoughts are all good concerns, too. I agree with everything she said about womanhood in this era
but she really overreacted and treated NN way worse than her other kids.
She's a strict mother to all the kids, but with NN it's like she lost control and became really hateful.
And she really hurt the poor girl's heart. NN will eventually let her in but it will take time.

Mothers can be like that especially to daughters. there are different reasons for each person's personal experience. Sometimes they don't mean too. they're just trying their best.

but knowing the real reason kind of makes it easier to accept the pain you got from your mother. Not just "mother knows best. Accept it" kind of thing. it will only make one feel like they are really a disappointment and fail to live up to their mother's expectations. And that the kids are the ones ruining the relationship. when they are just kids.

and their refusal to sit down and talk will play out in a comedic tone . Nothing is to be taken seriously in this drama. it will be more ridiculous in later eps too.
you have to switch off your brain and enjoy the ride.

from the drama we got " She's been divorced." and that's pretty much it.
And from the novel I got " FL reminds her mother of Grandma, which is a female fox. Smart, selfish, cunning, and very beautiful (in the novel, mother is beautiful but not FL and grandma beautiful). Grandma basically forced her into marrying for money or something. She use her beauty and smart brain for selfish gain which causes the family's downfall.

but like the novel the drama only have pretty much show her regret her decisions in a couple of scene but never explain all the whys. She'd never reflected on why she did it.

My thoughts, I feel like she's afraid NN is her mother reincarnation or something. that's why she overreacted with the mischief she did. She is afraid she will turn out to be like her grandma, who can cause great destruction to the clan
and about the marriage it's like she been thu divorce she know how the society is hard for divorce women so if she feel the marriage is gonna be hard she'd rather her only daughter ,who pretty strong will, never get into it

yeah she want respect but gives others none. like, just ask. it's okay to want the ring and it's okay too if people don't want it.
As a woman who is in marriage age but doesn't want marriage, I always tell my dates that right off

the mother-daughter relationship in this is really unsatisfying, both in drama and novel. Not because it isn't a good one but because they refuse to give the mother scenes where she reflects on her bad choices. explore "why" she acted that way.

I'm sorry, there really is no explanation in future episodes. except for what was mentioned early on that she'd divorced before. but there is a little more explanation in the novel If you are interested, I could tell you what i remember

ML is such a sweet loser, i'm loving it. it's 40 ep show so it's going to be pretty slow and slice of life.
I like the main cp. Their story seem cliche but there's charm to it. both characters are charismatic
but for others, I just feel like their story is boring and got no charm at all.
2FL story is so boring. she keep saying she's grown woman who been thro relationship. so why can't you just be straight with him??? No end game marriage then no relationship?

I think after the kidnapping, she went back in time and young Sol forgot about him all over again. Like, not forget-forget, because young Sol must already know who he is as the boy who seems interested in her. (there's a scene where he try to talk to young Sol and she's like, back off dude I'm taken. lol)

He's really upset because she broke his heart and then acted like they weren't even friends even after he tried to save her. That's why he wants to make her life a lit bit difficult if he can.
He think he's soo over her but he's wrongggggggggg.

I really hope they caught the killer right after tho. because if not then it's just gonna be a lit bit cliché whew rom/com use serial killer as Plot Device. They gonna say he went hidding or got in prison for less serious crime then came back to take revenge or something.

It's not bad a plot device. But the story without the killer is already juicy. I'd love to focus on that more. Not some killer we don't really care about that got nothing relate to the plot at all.

This one is so good, I wish it would stay this way till the end.

The president's family is dirty af. All 3 of them. it's pretty clear they want her company.
The former president didn't even care if she was the one who leaked his intel or not.
I won't be surprised if he is the one bombing himself.

that's not something we ask in running comments across the screen while the drama is playing. but there's 11-14% Chinese descent population, according to a study in 2012.
You can say that we " don't understand" cause we are not Chinese enough.
but a lot of us find shade of our mother through her character at first.
Thai dramas have mothers like this too. It's not new.
I'm just saying that trashing the mother character for her bad behavior doesn't really mean that you're not Asian. it's just mean we invest in the drama.

for me. I did sympathize with her in the beginning, but then it kept going to the extreme of stupidity, and no one in the family thought they should control this madness.
I just gave up.

Oh a lot of people still advocate for the mother too.
