4 episodes in, and I'm already irritated. I truly hate how disfunction and poor leadership skills always affect…
The Autumn Ballad family is way worse than this one.
the big difference is FL grandparents are very noble, smart and good people. So their household management is not so bad thus never creating a really big rift in family relationships. they dislike each other's personalities, but they don't hate each other. the children (her father and uncles) did love each other. even if they are not outstanding like the grandpa it seems like the grandparents are giving them equal treatment.
They're just narrow-minded backyard women. It'll show later that they do care for her but in their own way and they'll learn to forgive and value each other.
I like that they are not just "good or bad people". They are very human flaws and it makes FL way more interesting as she tries to navigate people management in an ancient, big Chinese family. Make her grow from a girl to a woman more realistic.
this show is so fun tho why the rating tank? I feel like this is supposed to be a funny, silly, ridiculous kind of drama. If you not up for a laugh you better not watch it. Just like those action/comedy-fun flick movies that don't need much logic, just entertaining characters and plots.
I think it's the make up. Just go compare his make up from Handsome Siblings (2020) and this one. this one his eyebrow went up almost 1 cm. lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E19TSD3-Ng8&ab_channel=5Water I'm not sure about his acting yet because we only watch 8 eps and his time is not much, but from his previous works something is not adding up. HYT can act. especially with his EYES. he has emotional, charismatic eyes that can pull some heartstrings. he did use it a lot it kind of became how he acted but the producers do him dirty by pull his eyebrows up thus pulling his upper eyelid up in the process. And he had a youthful face too. Now he looks like a pitiful lost child all the time lol. poor guy.
It's just a low budget drama with rockie producers, director and screenwriter😂 JJY was mocked and downgraded…
congrats to them! they're doing a good job of keeping everything nice and clean and enjoyable. really don't care about the fan drama. they're making a fool of themselves by criticizing acting when it's obvious that it's not bad.
Well good thing the whole population of China is not you. Its Youku’s Best Drama of 2024 so far. The drama broke…
oh I'm glad the drama is doing well, love. It such a fun flick. I just think jjy's antis are wasting their time criticizing her acting when it's not that serious. I like LXY fine but not his fans so I think of myself as one of the general audience. I enjoy the series very much but I'm just not passionate about it to the piont that i stop doing anything else to watch it. It's just me being honest. I didn't insulting the drama.
yo i haven't checked out the comment section for a while and it turn into jjy hatefest LOL It's funny because the show clearly didn't take itself seriously. The acting of all cast member clearly did not aim for the award-winning kind. jjy is doing okay. the story is okay. not captivating but okay. I just watch it while eating. lol
Noir is not an excuse for bad writing. A lot of good, famous noirs have lead characters that people can connect with. Noir is not only about good/bad/grey people but also about humanity. They explore human morals. make viewers sympathize with and question their morality.
But the leads in this drama just can't do that at all. The execution is too weak.
As for the rating, I feel like it's the expectation that ruin it. In all the press tours, they have set the bar so high. Sure, there're shows that're worse than this one. but the higher they put themselves, the harder they will fall. I really have nothing else to say.
this show is the perfect example , how can a girl ruin the entire drama and , friendship between two friends ,…
She didn't. The writer and the director did. I saw someone say that the director gave an interview "before" the drama aired, saying that she's the reason the friendship changed. but I think he just tried not to give the "plot twist" away that In Ha is the villain. But It's pretty clear he only made a move on her after confirming TO's feelings for her.
Is it slow? yes. Is it good? yes. The story is nothing new and the plot is simple. So they didn't really try to make it exciting but rather aimed for poetic storytelling. and add comedy to spice the mood in case it's too "boring" for some. The mood and tone are really well put. I love how beautiful they make this drama. like a living painting. the story is well put together so far. Well-written characters. very enjoyable.
They carefully built up the world and characters for 20+ eps (more than half) I hope it paid off well in later eps. I'm a little worried they gonna rush it up in the end.
hopefully those who rated it so extremely low because of FL ,will give it a fair rating after it ends, overall…
I don't hate FL at all I hate writer nim director nim LOL. other than that, the characters got more stupid each episode they kept writing things that are very overused in this type of dramas. making it super boring for a thriller.
If Hong Su Zu's agency wants her to further her acting career, they really need to pick the right genre and script.…
agree!. ppl bring up successful actors/actresses who have bad acting in their "breaking out roles" as examples and say that they got less shit than her (especially some famous actors).
I don't think this is 100% sexism. Most of them got the lead in rom-coms or light-hearted dramas first. And their drama was doing well. Their characters were well written and, later, well loved by viewers.

I like how silly it is and the comedic delivery did make me laugh each ep.
the plot is very cliché it's obvious that It's a parody of many cliché tropes.
It can come out boring but, for me, the delivery is funny.

It's SILLY and entertaining AF. the comedic timing is great. I'm laughing out loud time to time.
The cast looks comfortable doing fun, silly scenes they gave it all.
The chemistry is great. The plot is obviously cliché and they're just making a parody of those cliché tropes. The thriller part is well done not out of this world good, but acceptable.
It's a 9/10 for me
