Yeah it was push to the max like you said. They should have make it more comedic, smooth it out somehow so i can enjoy the next comedies scenes 😂. Maybe cut the sound out and make NH got some head monologue at how ridiculous it is.

I enjoy the drama, but the Blaming Nan Heng plot is making me lose sleep out of anger. so maybe this is a sign for me to stop for now lol. I legit FF many Blaming Nan Heng scenes
I think they try to make it into a joke, considering how ridiculous it is, BUT each character's reaction came out too serious, making me feel so bad for him, angers me more than it should.

There's someone behind the scene working tirelessly to make NH look bad.
Even that relative uncle seem weird.
He been working with the emperor for decades but dont get how the emperor will reacted. Everything he did always get NH blame. NH seem to notice he always f up the situation. I hope he be more careful with that guy. Get his men to spy on him more.
I throw hands at the emperor many times lol dude make it so easy to manipulate him. He never do his work and blame it all on NH.

IMO I think it will be similar to "The Double." There's no rebirth. but it's because ppl never see her face, or they only see it briefly
They probably cut out her married-off storyline and kill her off right away. It's pretty easy because the family rarely sees her real face. She always wore the mask throughout that period; they shit their pants everytime they think it will fall off to the point that they created the special mechanism mask that can't be taken off easily.
while her cousin lived in the faraway mountain as her. If after she win the war ,get the title, they'll kill her after she comes back and make her real identity die of illness, then it's over.
No one outside the fam saw her face before.
the family only see her real face 1-2 time in her life at that piont.
even if they realize it's her they can't tell anyone about it because they robbed her titles and lie to the king.

The drama is lighthearted. The plot is watery. But side characters are loveable and very enjoyable pastime drama types.
they just ruin it toward the end tho lol. A lot went wrong.

I really like how they show the killer perspective.
-she isn't a psychopath. She just hate herself so much for indirectly cause her mother death.
-she only kill when she think she can shamed them in death. She stopped 10yrs ago just because they still too powerful. And no one pick up on the clue or try to investigate. The one time the YJH got to investigated the reporter case. I Na uncle shut it down and move him away.
-she hate the person she become. That why they won't show her directly kill, or escape,or her personal life. She didn't even want to remember it after. No pleasure. Just hate and disgust.

Dr. H timing is weird. I Na must show him the 2nd jigsaw before right? Did she?
And Dr. H Know she would go to his house after so he can staged the apartment. There might be more to him on s2😉

The killer....if you are regular watchers in kdrama you might already know. I'm not trying to be cocky but the person is in the point in their career that they won't be in a thriller show as a side character.

I think that the main reason. they want you to scold them is just to get the last bit of engagement out of this. Like if we got HE, we might give only 1 good review but if its BE we would spend days complain.

I think it's for the rating for sure. just like how many influences trive for Drama to bring on traffic because when people upset, they express themselves more. like when you buy food if it's good most ppl don't waste their energy to complain but when its not you feel upset and express more.
It brings more traffic and gives them more engagement for the final ep. that's why many cdrama would end it in a cliffhanger.
this happens a lot in novels too. when webnovel end like this people will engagged online demand more chapters, that will result in spacial chapters add when they sell the book.
It kind of suck when some drama don't even need this type of ending atall.

oh how I love these types of melodrama. Although this genre is looked down upon and simply outdated misunderstanding plot, I still enjoy it so much. The logic can go to hell the entertainment comes first lol.
