from the drama we got " She's been divorced." and that's pretty much it.
And from the novel I got " FL reminds her mother of Grandma, which is a female fox. Smart, selfish, cunning, and very beautiful (in the novel, mother is beautiful but not FL and grandma beautiful). Grandma basically forced her into marrying for money or something. She use her beauty and smart brain for selfish gain which causes the family's downfall.

but like the novel the drama only have pretty much show her regret her decisions in a couple of scene but never explain all the whys. She'd never reflected on why she did it.

My thoughts, I feel like she's afraid NN is her mother reincarnation or something. that's why she overreacted with the mischief she did. She is afraid she will turn out to be like her grandma, who can cause great destruction to the clan
and about the marriage it's like she been thu divorce she know how the society is hard for divorce women so if she feel the marriage is gonna be hard she'd rather her only daughter ,who pretty strong will, never get into it

yeah she want respect but gives others none. like, just ask. it's okay to want the ring and it's okay too if people don't want it.
As a woman who is in marriage age but doesn't want marriage, I always tell my dates that right off

the mother-daughter relationship in this is really unsatisfying, both in drama and novel. Not because it isn't a good one but because they refuse to give the mother scenes where she reflects on her bad choices. explore "why" she acted that way.

I'm sorry, there really is no explanation in future episodes. except for what was mentioned early on that she'd divorced before. but there is a little more explanation in the novel If you are interested, I could tell you what i remember

ML is such a sweet loser, i'm loving it. it's 40 ep show so it's going to be pretty slow and slice of life.
I like the main cp. Their story seem cliche but there's charm to it. both characters are charismatic
but for others, I just feel like their story is boring and got no charm at all.
2FL story is so boring. she keep saying she's grown woman who been thro relationship. so why can't you just be straight with him??? No end game marriage then no relationship?

I think after the kidnapping, she went back in time and young Sol forgot about him all over again. Like, not forget-forget, because young Sol must already know who he is as the boy who seems interested in her. (there's a scene where he try to talk to young Sol and she's like, back off dude I'm taken. lol)

He's really upset because she broke his heart and then acted like they weren't even friends even after he tried to save her. That's why he wants to make her life a lit bit difficult if he can.
He think he's soo over her but he's wrongggggggggg.

I really hope they caught the killer right after tho. because if not then it's just gonna be a lit bit cliché whew rom/com use serial killer as Plot Device. They gonna say he went hidding or got in prison for less serious crime then came back to take revenge or something.

It's not bad a plot device. But the story without the killer is already juicy. I'd love to focus on that more. Not some killer we don't really care about that got nothing relate to the plot at all.

This one is so good, I wish it would stay this way till the end.

The president's family is dirty af. All 3 of them. it's pretty clear they want her company.
The former president didn't even care if she was the one who leaked his intel or not.
I won't be surprised if he is the one bombing himself.

that's not something we ask in running comments across the screen while the drama is playing. but there's 11-14% Chinese descent population, according to a study in 2012.
You can say that we " don't understand" cause we are not Chinese enough.
but a lot of us find shade of our mother through her character at first.
Thai dramas have mothers like this too. It's not new.
I'm just saying that trashing the mother character for her bad behavior doesn't really mean that you're not Asian. it's just mean we invest in the drama.

for me. I did sympathize with her in the beginning, but then it kept going to the extreme of stupidity, and no one in the family thought they should control this madness.
I just gave up.

I always feel like C'drama is too realistic with this family bullshit.
yes there's always some family member like this (not as stupid but yes) and we can hardly do shit about it which is why real-life suck.

now this is a drama. there're so many unrealistic thing happening already. but why why leave the most annoying part in real-life so realistic?
Other country drama would have knocked some sense into characters like this.

They got together when they were old. The kids, or the parent generation, are all grown up.

I feel like the most unsatisfying factor in this drama is the mother character.
She's a one-dimensional character whose sole purpose is to show how good FL is. how filial piety the FL is.
She's stupid to the core. too stupid.
And the more the FL endures all her sh*t, the more the writer thinks it will prove FL's filial piety.
But for me, FL is stupid AF for enduring her mother's bullshit for so long. She and her family are one of the reasons her mother is so clueless and stupid. like a child. elementary school Brian must be smarter

they keep enduring the mother bullshit to the extreme WTF level that she keeps having the guts to do stupid shit again and again because her family will clean up after her.

Yes the FL can be imperfect too. But someone's gonna point this out to her right?. Or they gonna keep enduring the mother bullshit to the end?
Knowing C-drama and culture I feel like that the outcome waiting for me.

I have too many laugh from this show and couldn't help but adore it. It's sad that many people couldn't enjoy it for what it is.

This one is very comedy-based compared to TLYGM. It's silly and ridiculous but very enjoyable. if you are not up for a laugh and want something more complex then this is not for you <3

there still more to the back story. a lot of conflicts need to be explain. it might not be love can conquer shits
it's not too late to wait to the end to see all the reasons

this drama is not even real life. but as a drama/romcom I feel like they're doing a pretty good job adding some humanity to the characters.
They're very human. they have good/bad side. Many actions is not hard to sympathize with.
They make yall debate what is right or wrong.

people think they can do better. but that's not how life always works out you know. Even people who have a strong moral compass will step on someone's toes too.
