We all know it for the plot but they treated us like children. I still enjoy the mystery at first but now we almost at the end and still do this🫤

YH redemption arc is not my cup of tea at all they better keep it short. Dont try to justify it.
They writer should remember they decided to make her a serial killers that kill more than 100 souls with the excuse of her dead child.
And there also others like GU who got tortured by her for decades so she can get rich.

But NOPE. I dont care about her.

But it shows the contrast between a mother who actually CARES about her child. And the one that CARES about HERSELF and HER POWER.

Right off the bat YH willing to make HER child turn into a Demon god. That likely doom her child soul for eternity, and it cant be rebirth just to get some "time" tgt

While both mom, a crazy lady with a ghost child and Spirit Mother are willing to sacrifice their insanity/their life for their child.

Both of the ladies are more than a mother YH could ever be. And YH character would be much better to except that she is a psycho than to force her redemption arc to happen. 🤷

The story is cliché in the best way. Character development is beautiful to watch. The art direction is great, so smooth and fitting to the story. I hope it got the tag of "slice of life" in there too. the story can be pretty slow, but it makes character development believable. There are some imperfect parts, but the best parts make up for it.
And Zhang Ruo Nan seems to struggle to find a good lead role that can highlight her potential. I'm so glad she got this in her resume now. She acts so well in this

yeah. I get it. some show in 2000s are never going to be a hit in 2025, but they made us feel so good back in the day. For me, it's "Princess Hours." so iconic and magical (for me lol)

what make me puzzled is It seems like they plan to make YH redeemable? She killed more than 100 ppl and sent them to hell for her greed for power. How can we redeem ppl like that? lol unbelieveable

at ep 10 and I still stand by what I said. There's a line between campiness and laziness.
With big machine company like GMMTV this looks like one of the projects that no one really cares about. Because they got lots of show lineups thru the year, it's normal to have 2-3 bad projects.

But it doesn't make sense because when they announce it. it got a lot of hype. it looks fantastic from the teaser.

my last project of Fluke is Be my fav and he kills it there. I love his performance, and the series was made with so much love and care. Every frame and shot is beautiful and full of storytelling. The directing, music score, the editing, the art direction, and the mood & tone are fantastic.

but thie this series while the art direction is okay, everything else seems to struggle. The cinematography looks bad for GMMTV standards. It looks like they did try just to shoot and go home.

I complain about Fluke's acting, but I never blame him. I blame the director.
With weak cinematography, bad editing, and his obvious "I don't care about the project they hired me to do it" attitude.
For example, Fluke going to have a lot of "surprise face" but they got him in a lot of awkward shots and sometimes leave it for too long.
Some emotional scenes could be way better, but it feel like the director want to go home already.
Not just him Joss too. it's just he doesn't have to pikachu face most of the time

Maybe it's my bad for thinking he's a good actor and that the director did him dirty.

That's my rant. I'm glad you like it.
PS: Be My Fav got lots of hate when they released the teaser, the opposite of this project. Similarly, the director never made BL before, and the teaser lacks the charm of college romance. The director took all the criticism, worked his ass off, and came back on top.

My reaction for the first ep...
OMG, the directing is bad, lol. Joss is fighting for his life, carrying the show. And Fluke, oh, Fluke....
We all know he can act. He is great on Be my fav (not the best but really good).
So I put this heavily on directing. how can they make him act this bad and say, "cut, yeah, that's great"
The editing is off. The special effect looks 40 years old. There are so many vam shows out there that the CGI is low budget in the past 20 years. so many good things they could study
But this feels like they didn't even try... they didn't even know how to film or edit a vampire show.
on top of that it feel like they don't know how to make BL show at all. make me wonder if ep2 gonna change my mind

It might be in another country. But in Thailand, especially when it's created by a big company like GMMTV. The producers and company play a huge role in it.
They often buy books and choose the talents and the director.
There will be some time that the director pitches the project. but original projects are rare because "risk."
So when directors get hired, they know the drill; they're just there to finish the work.
thai ent industry is very small. This is how they survive. there only small number of ppl who can only make a masterpiece and feed themselves in thai ent.

I don't get why Ford isn't on Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist with Mark. They have amazing chemistry, and the roles are perfect for their personalities too.
It's not that Ohm is bad, but I feel like it would be effortless for Ford to play the cute, clueless, and silly type of role. his overall aura is way cuter
It's weird. really a miss for GMMTV.
the show is silly and watery, but if they got the chem right, it would have been way better.

She is the shaman who claim that ML bring bad luck to the family when he was only a child. And stay in contact with his parents to this day.
If you watch the ep that the lady go the ML house and met FML you will know from FML that she lost her guardian long ago and can't caste spell or doing shaman thing anymore. She can only do curse.

So it implies that whatever she did with his family is never about shamanhood but curse/black magic.

It never say out loud why she cures grandma (yet). The shamans in this drama kind of secretive about their shamanhood sometimes. Especially if its dark magic. Like its a jinx to say.

But my guess is maybe the grandma soul supposed to be the last sacrifice soul to make the god of evil. Thats why right after she left ML house she go straight to the evil soul and make more curse to speed up the process.

Burn the house will only release it.
If it go out it can turn into something more wild and uncontrollable and less intelligent. It can become the GOD of evil in the future but it will take much more time.
The ritual YH did is to make it FASTER.
Being god means more intelligence and easier to make a deal with. so it can give her power to cast spell and doing bad things to give it more power.
The reason the shamans lock it inside is because even if it isnt god it very powerful and hard to kill already. They dont want to waste time looking for it and risk ppl dying more.
Im not sure about why they cant kill it yet tho. Seem like they have an understanding to waiting for the right moment(which they got revealed to us yet. Or i might have missed it
